Japanese publisher Koei Tecmo announced Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity has shipped over three million units worldwide. The figure includes digital sales. This is a new record for a single title in the Warriors series.

Here is an overview of the game:

See Hyrule 100 years before The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game and experience the events of the Great Calamity.

Join the struggle that brought Hyrule to its knees. Learn more about Zelda, the four Champions, the King of Hyrule and more through dramatic cutscenes as they try to save the kingdom from Calamity. The Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity game is the only way to firsthand see what happened 100 years ago.

Battle Hordes of Hyrule’s Most Formidable Foes

From barbaric Bokoblins to towering Lynels, Ganon’s troops have emerged in droves. Playable heroes like Link, Zelda and more must use their distinct abilities to carve through hundreds of enemies to save Hyrule from the impending Calamity.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity launched for the Nintendo Switch on November 20.

I tried the demo. Is the final game’s framerate as headache inducing as in the demo? Cause I don’t remember Hyrule Warrior on Wii U having it this bad, and I enjoyed it. This one has improved gameplay over it, but that framerate makes me hesitate...

Did it sell faster than BOTW's launch?? Cause ik BOTW was launched with the Switch so I'm not sure if BOTW blew up in sales like this since the Switch was first starting. But this is amazing for a spin-off Zelda game to sell 3M in a few days and I didn't expect it. Those launch sales figures are comparable to some of the biggest Switch games.

It certainly shipped faster than BotW. We know that BotW had shipped 2.76 mil after about a month.

Impressive! Keep in mind that this is shipped to retailers though. The sold through numbers could be a lot lower.

Actually Nintendo's publishing it (except Japan). They might've overestimated demand somewhat since it's a Zelda game.

According to the Wikipedia page, Koei Tecmo is only publishing it in Japan and Nintendo's publishing it everywhere else.

Oh sorry I misunderstood you. It's likely the sales numbers are close to the shipped ones but it's hard to know for sure.
