Usually, switch sells about 22% of it's yearly sold by this point. If we assume the same for this year, it'll sell 39,900,000 which of course is insane and can't ever be true. But what it does show is that the switch will probably sell as much as Ninty can produce. So if Ninty produces that many switches, we can get to 25mil+ for the year

75 Million by Switch's 4th year anniversary! 100 Million by year 5!

Now the question is, can it outsell 3DS this year?

It's still insane how much switch has sold this early in the year especially remembering that it sells a crazy ton in November and December so that will be crazy insane if the momentum continues or even grows.

Congrats to Nintendo! It's VERY impressive Switch is outselling PS4 considering the same timeframes. I expect Nintendo to outsell Sony worldwide these next 4-5 months UNTIL Sony brings out their 9th gen machine against Nintendo's 9th gen Switch. The PS5. That's the competition I actually want to see. Sony is taking back worldwide sales come November. The PS5 is ready for that smoke.

It would be mind-blowing if, at the end of it all, the Switch managed to beat the PS4 in total sales. It's a long shot since the Switch will be competing against the PS5 and XSX before too long, but it would be something to see if Nintendo made it happen.
