Grand Theft Auto V Tops the EMEAA Charts - Sales

Grand Theft Auto V has retaken the top spot on the EMEAA charts for week 16, 2020. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is in second place, FIFA 20 is in third, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is in fourth, and Final Fantasy VII Remake rounds out the top five.

Here are the top 5 best-selling titles (combined physical and digital sales) in EMEAA:

  1. Grand Theft Auto V
  2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
  3. FIFA 20
  4. Animal Crossing: New Horizons
  5. Final Fantasy VII Remake
The physical charts includes all games in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
Digital data includes games sold in Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kuwait, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and UAE.
The GSD charts includes games from Activision Blizzard, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Codemasters, EA, Focus Home Interactive, Koch Media, Microsoft, Milestone, Paradox, Sega, Sony, Square Enix, Ubisoft and Warner Bros.

Is it just me or did we not get an EMEAA chart for week 15? I'd be quite suprised if FF7R didn't hit the top spot for its debut.

Why is Animal Crossing in this list at all, since it's a first party Nintendo game? The GSD charts don't include Nintendo, accoring to the mentioned list of publishers. Did I get something wrong?

As far as I know it does include Nintendo games, but just not their digital sales. So Animal Crossing is on 4th based on its physical sales only.

That's a bit strange, because we got the news that Animal Crossing was the best selling game in France and UK and here it's only on 4th? Are the sales in the other countries so low?

As Underwaterfunktown posted it doesn't include animal crossings digital and if you look at the article you will notice physical is from 13 European countries excluding germany, while digital is from around 3 times that many countries including germany .
