Welcome to the VGChartz Gap charts. These charts are updated monthly and each article focuses on a different gap chart. The charts include comparisons between the 7th generation and 8th generation platforms, as well as comparisons within the 8th generation. All sales are worldwide, unless otherwise stated.
XOne Vs. Wii U Global:
Gap change in latest month: 166,710 – Xbox One
Gap change over last 12 months: 5,239,777 – Xbox One
Total Lead: 3,600,773 – Xbox One
Xbox One Total Sales: 13,882,024
Wii U Total Sales: 10,281,251
In August 2015 the Xbox One grew its lead over the Wii U by 166,710 units and it has now outsold the Wii U by 5.24 million units in the last 12 months. The Xbox One currently leads by a total of 3.60 million units.
The Xbox One launched in North America and Europe on November 22. The Wii U launched in November 2012. The Wii U has sold 10.28 million units to-date, while the Xbox One has sold 13.88 million units.
