All site updates will now be noted in this ongoing revision listing. Feedback in this article is always appreciated, but any and all bugs or enhancement requests should continue to be directed to this forum as I monitor that area daily.

Game Profile Page
- ‘Edit game info’ link now available for entire community (new ways to earn $$!)
    - First 3 fields are dedicated to various regional names for games – these are the names used when looking at specific regional data
    - ‘North America Name’ field is used for correcting any case-sensitive or misspelled ‘default’ names
    - Japanese symbols (for those willing to go the extra mile) can be entered in a dedicated field
    - Developer can be updated as well as genre
    - All modifications here are submitted for approval and, upon acceptance, deliver $$
- All regional releases are always outputted now, regardless if data has been entered
    - If no release date has been entered, an ‘Add Release Date’ link will be available next to the appropriate flag
    - If a release date has already been entered and you think it needs to be updated, the release date will be hyperlinked and allow you to submit any modifications for approval
    - When modifying (or adding) release dates, there is a new drop-down for ‘Status’ (Release, Cancelled, TBA) – if Cancelled or TBA are selected, publisher and date information will simply be replaced on the Game Page with the status indicated
- ‘Update boxart’ link always available for altering game boxarts
    - The ‘add boxart’ page now allows for multiple boxarts to be associated with a single game
    - Any boxarts already uploaded will be displayed on this page (DB Admins will see a ‘delete’ link for clean-ups
    - There are two drop-downs available now (Region and Type)
    - There is also a ‘Caption’ free-text box available (25 character limit) if additional info is to be displayed
- If multiple boxarts are available, the Game Profile page will display arrows above the main boxart and allow you to scroll through the various images available
- If you ‘own’ a game that has multiple boxarts, you will be able to click the boxart image you’d like to set as ‘default’ – it will be indicated with a red border (Montana and nordlead can stop fighting over MGS4 now!)
- NOTE 1: As with the initial implementation of ‘game names’, I have NOT combed the entire site yet to utilize the regional boxarts. That IS on the agenda, just not ready at this point. That said, if in the game index page you lookup by a region and select a game, you will be shown that region’s boxart (if available) first on the game page
- NOTE 2: Since up until now, it was not possible to distinguish regional type boxarts, ALL boxarts currently available will be assumed ‘America Front’. This means a lot of clean-up, yes. But it also means a more functionally complete database.
- NOTE 3: ‘Caption’ information hasn’t been setup for display on the main ‘Game Page’ yet. It IS available on the boxart upload page, so feel free to start entering that information if desired – I’ll work get it setup on the game page in the near future.

Profiles
- ‘Games I own’ listing will now take advantage of any ‘default’ boxarts marked on the game page
- This same functionality is also used in the ‘view collection’ link as well
- Edit Profile (Basic Info tab) there is a drop-down towards the bottom for ‘Forum posts per page’. Use this to control how many replies are displayed per page in a thread
- You will no longer be able to post on a ‘banned’ user’s wall

Database Admin Queue
- hyperlinked the name of any game submitted into the queue. Clicking the name will bring up a popup displaying the relevant section of the game page being updated for verification purposes

- DB Admins who ‘claim’ a job for review will have separate indicator on the left control panel

VGChartz Polls
- Results page now lists a historical view of recent poll results

New moderation system introduced
- Mods can respond to forum problems more efficiently
- A ‘warning’ system has been implemented to track repeat offenders
- All users have a ‘View moderations’ link in their profile for reviewing any moderation action taken
- Moderators can view ‘all’ moderation histories of community members
- many of the same features already introduced with the general system, but customized for database issues

Main Page
- Under the Community Tab, you now have options to view 'Site Admin', 'GameDB Admin', 'Contributors', and 'Poll Admins'
- GameDB Admin will notice we now have a new queuing system for approving and rejecting submissions
      - Submissions are output 10 at a time - multiple submissions may be approved or reject at once
      - There is a 'claim' feature, in which any submission can be pulled from the general queue and stored under your id for further research
       - Long summaries will be available via a 'pop-up' for easier reading
- Staff username coloring has been added:
   Site Admin
   Moderators
   GameDB Admin
   Contributor
   Poll Admin

Profiles
- Index page - removed the 'user type' checkboxes and created one drop-down to select from
- Profile pages now have a 'tag' outlining the above positions as applicable
- added 'Steam IDs' to the user profile for sharing

Games Index
- added a 'Last Updated' column which can be sorted on via the column headings

Forums
- Moved everybody's favorite 'Ban' button down below the timestamp for easier signature measurement
- Added a 'My Codes' link - if you've begun sharing codes, this link will appear in your posts

VGChartz Polls
- New 'poll administration' has been created - Super_Etecoon is in charge of the polls, so if anybody feels the need to nudge for an update, he's your man!
- Poll results are now displayed right on the front page (if, of course, you've already voted)
- All games on the front page will now take advantage of the recently added 'alias' ability - in the 'Japan' charts, if a 'Japan Name' is entered, it will appear here (same for PAL and NA).

Games Index Page
- Removed 'Order By' drop-down and hyperlinked headings for sorting
- Enhanced page indexing to allow for 5 pages forward and backward as well as first and last - added indexing to the bottom of the page
- Added AlphaSelect functionality
- Added 'Region' drop-down (more on this in a moment)
- Change Boxart to a drop-down to allow for viewing games WITHOUT boxart for clean-up purposes
- Added 'Results' drop-down to allow for viewing 10,25,50,75,100 games at a time
- Added functionality for moderators to 'undelete' any games that may have previously been deleted

Game Profile Page
- Hyperlinked 'Game Owners' to output all owners ala 'friends wall' style (first step in the 'friend codes' functionality)
- Added navigation back to index page
- Forced tables to line-up better - the game profile would shift way right if a game summary hadn't been written, now they stay left

Edit Game Info Page (game admins only)
- Three fields (North America, PAL, Japan) Name boxes (North America defaults to the name that was entered during game submission) - this is where the 'region' drop-down comes into play. If 'America' is selected on the index page, we will attempt to output the field from here if it's been defined, if not, we'll output the original entry like usual. Same with the PAL and Japan selections. The point is, if 'Super mario galaxy' has been entered into the DB, we can go in here and enter 'Super Mario Galaxy' in the North America field and see that get displayed. I know there are a few other places this will need to be adjusted (sales listings, etc.), but at least you all can see that we are on top of the situation. In addition, we can now display 'alias' names for those different regions.

Add Release Page
- Allow year to go back as far as 1970

To be more specific, the no posting on banned users wall was my request. I'm tired of dealing with the trolling of moderators and users on their walls when they are banned. Simplest solution was to disable it entirely.

I think a "bunk" system like in the French video game website "GameKult" would be nice to track the site's changes. GameKult has the best ever community features I've seen on the web so far, I hope VGC could be inspired by this site.
