Wait until you see Pikachu throwing his tiny yellow balls. Try to catch one. After a while, Pikachu will look sad. If you still have the ball in your hand and Pikachu looks at you, he will use Thunder on the ball that you have in your hand. Note: This trick is best done in your room.

I am ashamed of owning this game. It was really cheap, and I picked it up cause I wanted to talk to Pikachu. Oh man.
