Spycraft (also known by its full title, Spycraft: The Great Game) is an adventure CD-ROM game published by Activision in 1996. It details the attempted assassination of the President of the United States and the CIA and SVR attempts to save him. Although the game was not approved by either organization, it tends to favour realism due to its coordination with former CIA director William Colby and former KGB Major-General Oleg Kalugin. The game is played in a non-linear fashion by solving various logic puzzles involving analysis of actual satellite data, combat training and even interrogation, interspersed with segments of live action video to advance the plot.
The player plays Thorn, a CIA agent out to stop a rogue group of secret agents after they assasinate a Russian presidential candidate and next plan on assasinating the president of the United States.
