Game Overview

Skylanders Swap Force is a platform video game that takes place in the Skylanders Universe. It will be published by Activision in all territories, except in Japan, where it will be published by Square Enix. The game will be released in the third quarter of 2013, across multiple systems. The Wii version will be developed by Beenox, the Nintendo 3DS version will be developed by n-Space, and all other versions will be taken care of by Vicarious Visions.

The game takes place in the Cloudbreak Islands, where a mystical volcano erupts every 100 years. This eruption replenishes the magic to the Skylands. Some Skylanders were caught in the volcano once when it erupted, which gave them the power to swap halves with each other. This group of Skylanders is known as the SWAP Force, and it is up to them and the other Skylanders to stop Kaos once again. The game will feature 16 total characters with two parts on each allowing for a total of 256 combinations in addition to the 100 figures from the original Skylanders.

@nugget
The giant called bouncer is a
giant robot with guns for fingers... he
isn't quite as graceful as boba fett
but he is incredibly shooty. Have to say
the graphical jump from Giants to this
game is incredible considering the
hardware hasn't changed, if you look at
spyros adventure and then this it's
just amazing how far it's
come.

Given that this game supports
every Skylander toy from the first 3
starters who came with the first game
now all shinied up with the new graphics
engine and with the ability to jump and
bounce around I would think this will be
finding its way under a lot of Christmas
trees of happy kids this holiday
season.... I know it's found its way to
the xbox of this 30 year old kid hahaha.
