DieAppleDie (on 06 February 2013)

oni-link (on 03 February 2010)
again no data in Others...sigh*.
Boutros (on 16 December 2009)
Kind of a fun game.
It had ups and downs.
MEnkeli (on 30 October 2009)
Yeah, this is a pretty decent game. It was really fun to play, looked pretty good and I really like those characters more than the ones in Final Fantasy.
sc94597 (on 24 August 2009)
9/10? 8/10 is pushing it. I would honestly give it a 7/10 at most.
PeteyPeeps (on 25 April 2009)
I enjoed it ... was fun, abit short, definately atleast an 8 / 10, if not 9/10
mpereira (on 12 April 2009)
500k in its first month :)
johnsobas (on 18 March 2009)
Sales look fine now, but euro sales missing.
NeoStar9 (on 15 March 2009)
I wonder what Square-Enix's expectations for this game in America were. I hope this doesn't turn them off from bringing more games out on the Wii. The Wii is seriously lacking in RPGs after all.
Chrizum (on 19 February 2009)
Good call. Seems this one is undertracked by about 120k then (shipments from september should be sold by now).
luffy45 (on 19 February 2009)
Dragon Quest Swords (Wii) :
- Japon : 500.000
- Amérique : 110.000
- Europe : 100.000
Total : 710.000
sales figures until the end of September 2008
Bobbuffalo (on 11 February 2009)
I just traded this game for okami and I loved it! =D is a very fun mixture of arcade/RPG elements!
DavidValbu (on 01 February 2009)
Come on ioi, track EU other sales of his game!
palancas7 (on 07 January 2009)
Why are many Wii games lacking the European numbers here??
There would be a lot of new million-sellers.
alvarito (on 05 January 2009)
where are the european sales??? why vgchartz doesn´t have the complete numbers of a big amount of games??
johnsobas (on 01 January 2009)
too bad it's overtracked, with 500k in Japan i really hoped it would get a million.
bigjon (on 26 December 2008)
I think 200k from others is all we need... i think NA has another 30k left in it.
MANUELF (on 25 December 2008)
I saw this for $20, worth it?
coonana (on 11 December 2008)
when will OTHER sales come
SaviorX (on 07 November 2008)
Sales would remain exactly the same as they are now if that is absolutely true, if not worse.
I know DQS is at 530k in Japan though. Right below MGS4 as best selling 3rd party console game this "gen".
Yakuzaice (on 07 November 2008)
The game has shipped
110k North America
As of September 30. It looks like America is severely overtracked.
Diglet (on 19 October 2008)
I got bored with game about half way through it. SO much waving your mote. would be good with wm+
arsenal009 (on 14 October 2008)
Can we get others #s please? This game has a good chance of hitting a mln if they are included.
Crystalchild (on 27 September 2008)
i.. like it. its not THAT good, but its okay, and you can have some fun with it. i think its the best to try it somewhere.
Leni (on 23 September 2008)
i saw it in store, it has been release in europe, but as vgc says, sales are largely incomplete....
SaviorX (on 20 August 2008)
In about a month, this game should hit 700k.
Also, I think this is at 0.08 in Europe/Others now.
outlawauron (on 10 August 2008)
It's ok. It got decent reviews for a on rails RPG that is very easy.
ganondorf7799 (on 06 August 2008)
I never saw this game in a store...(I'am from Austria/Europe) Is it a good game?
ClaudeLv250 (on 24 July 2008)
Still no Others numbers?
SaviorX (on 24 July 2008)
I think this game is at 0.07 in Europe.
outlawauron (on 22 July 2008)
Are you kidding? The Dragon Quest name has NO value outside Japan.
Even so, the RPG genre is very unpopular in Europe. Even Final Fantasy 12 couldn't sell 1 million.
Endz (on 22 July 2008)
europe would have easily put this at 1 million, just dragon quest name alone will sell.
Leni (on 27 June 2008)
Zucas (on 24 May 2008)
shipment wise at about 700k. Ship about 200k to Eu/O. Eventually America will push it over. Maybe never in sales but defo in shipments.
SaviorX (on 23 May 2008)
After this game has been out 1 year in Europe, it will be at 1 million worldwide.
hihihi (on 23 May 2008)
This game will be a million seller in a year or 2
Fido (on 23 May 2008)
But where are the EU numbers? It's out here since like 2 weeks or so...
King2 (on 26 April 2008)
I wonder if this will make it to one million? Europe will definately help.
Tuulikk (on 23 April 2008)
150 000+ in both America and Europe/Australia will give 800 000+ total, Christmas sales and lowlevel selling next year before summer can do the rest.
Will this game be out in Korea, China, India and South Africa?
Vas-y (on 17 April 2008)
No, it's not out in Europe :). Somewhere in May.
coonana (on 07 April 2008)
this game is out in europe but i guess they will track it next week
Zucas (on 05 April 2008)
Maybe with Europe sales, and a holidays in America and Europe it'll make it but I doubt it.
outlawauron (on 02 April 2008)
You kidding? ioi is a little high. 50k v.s. 15k is a pretty big difference.
Leni (on 29 March 2008)
it seems that it will make it to 1 million!!
johnsobas (on 22 March 2008)
hm, probably won't reach a million but it's still a success, especially in Japan where they charged 7800 yen for it.
Fuzzmosis (on 21 March 2008)
Please note that I did not like this game and do not wish it success. 500k is far too much for it.
Chrizum (on 13 March 2008)
15k? Seems NPD undertracked it.
outlawauron (on 13 March 2008)
This seems overtracked.
Only sold 15k in Feb. according to NPD.
MontanaHatchet (on 09 March 2008)
Europe is not a very big fan at all of RPGs, this might just have to learn entirely on America.
hihihi (on 08 March 2008)
depending on Epurope sales this cloud be a million seller
Sky Render (on 27 February 2008)
The paths through areas are linear, with branching parts where you can take different routes on in most areas. You can use the d-pad to look left and right in these areas, move forward, or move backwards. In town, you have more or less full control of your movement via the d-pad, in first-person perspective.
Man (on 20 February 2008)
from what i can gather, you have a bit of control(using the d-pad), but some times (or maybe most of the time, not sure) its on rails.
sc94597 (on 16 February 2008)
Do you explore in this game? Is it free motion?
Leni (on 14 February 2008)
seems sooooo coooool!! :)
jpelles (on 09 January 2008)
Game looks very interesting. As long as it's $40 or so i'll get it. A punch out style game with an RPG feel.
subzerohk (on 20 December 2007)
Gameplay is quite interesting but very short game. I bought it first day it released in HK for HK$395. It didn't worth this price. It's now around HK$200 for a new one~ I highly recommend to wait until price drops.
Gnosis (on 19 December 2007)
The official North American website for "Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors" says the release date is the:
February 26th 2008
(What a long title for a game)
coonana (on 12 December 2007)
i have the imprt but when will it release in the US?
stof (on 15 November 2007)
Ok, these implanted text ads just made onlyfagsbuywiis' comment so much better. You now get an ad for "Gay Sex! The Card Game"
MontanaHatchet (on 16 October 2007)
Just ignore that comment.
tombi123 (on 13 September 2007)
what the hell are wetbacks?
onlyfagsbuywiis (on 03 August 2007)
This game sucks don't buy it, all you do is have gay sex with wetbacks.
stof (on 31 July 2007)
Actually clmlb, the idea for this game was from a stand alone dragon quest slasher game that was played with a sword that could kind of read your slashing movements.
They didn't take a deep franchise and strip it of all it's intricacies, but infact took a very shallow game and upped the depth, production values, graphics, sound, difficulty, length and any other aspect you can think of.
Maverick Hunter Z (on 29 July 2007)
I'm with ckmlb on this one, I'm not even a big fan of the regular DQ games and this one sounds like a bore. A gimmick cash in on the Wii-mote probably. Will probably rent it when it comes out.
ckmlb (on 23 July 2007)
So they took a turn based RPG and turned it into a linear Wii mote slashing game... great work SE. Why not just put the actual DQ on a console?
I expect disappointments from this.
OriGin (on 23 July 2007)
WTF why do people vote for games they haven't played... sif 47 people from japan have voted here
WiiGirl76 (on 21 July 2007)
This game is absolutely NOT the best you've seen so far! Famitsu overrated it too much.
WiiGirl76 (on 21 July 2007)
And stop voting when you don't have the game! At least I vote with honesty as I "actually" own the game.
WiiGirl76 (on 21 July 2007)
I give it a "7".
Graphics: 6 (a real pain in the ass for LCD TV owners, not even in progressive scan and makes the graphics really blur and ugly and outdated)
llewdebkram (on 20 July 2007)
Probably the greatest game in the history of the world and it's on the Wii!!
P.S I've never played this game and know absolutely nothing about it.
fazz (on 20 July 2007)
Awww too bad :)
johnsobas (on 19 July 2007)
25 votes? Come on guys, there is probably 1 or 2 people on this forum that have even played it. Stop rating games you haven't played
xstonexcold316x (on 19 July 2007)
come on ppl its only been out in japan......
Kenkaku (on 19 July 2007)
I'm with you, Ziss.
*Goes back to playing Kingdom Hearts and Super Rub a Dub...*
MontanaHatchet (on 19 July 2007)
Stop rating a game you've never played. The only reason I did it was to counteract the first person who rated it a 10/10. How can a game none of you have ever played be the 2nd highest ranked game?
ziss (on 19 July 2007)
i'm think its shit... game for girls and oldmans...
Parokki (on 18 July 2007)
So the game is basically a rail.. slasher? Looks incredibly cool, just hope we get it here in Europe eventually.
MontanaHatchet (on 18 July 2007)
Oh please, like you've actually played the game. I'm going to rate this game 1/10 just to spite you.
