Summary

This is a game who's actor is a pogo stick. The height of it's hop is controlled by a slider on the right of the screen. The direction of hop is controlled by tilting the iPod. The stick will jump when it strikes the ground.

The object of the game is to move through the levels (jump into a door), popping the power up pills, both fixed and in cages, to gain points. But beware, the cages are generally guarded. Jumping on the Amulet will increase the strength of pills, and decrease the effect of bullets. The Amulet is placed randomly in one of the initial levels. Jumping onto a cage will release the pills within. But, you must be quick to pop them because they like to jump around. Jumping on the head of the shooter will do him in, gain you points, and stop him shooting at you.

Exiting the door on the last level will gain you extra points. Fall off of a level and you will loose a life. You gain extra lives by increasing your point score up to a point.

The game uses cocos2d-iphone and Chipmunk Physics. It was intended to serve as a complete example of a 2D game for the iPhone/iPod. The source code is available under the GNU General Public License. We encourage you to download and work with it. It is available at...
