Lynx_7 (on 12 October 2013)
It was confirmed this game sold over a million copies. Undertracked...
wolfofthepack (on 03 October 2013)
lets hope there were plenty digital sales! cause graces f didn't have a day 1 digital r
iceland (on 19 September 2013)
Dat drop :/ Thought this would perform better than Graces...
Kresnik (on 30 August 2013)
NA numbers will be overtracked, but hopefully this sold well over there.
I wonder where this will rank among other "Tales of" games in sales. Above Destiny but below Symphonia?
Nem (on 30 August 2013)
Europe buys pretty much the same as the US buys with some rare exceptions. European buy less software though. Thats why you generally see lower sales.
Wright (on 28 August 2013)
Urgh. Even if it's better than Graces, I still don't know what Europe buys.
-girgosz- (on 28 August 2013)
Pretty sure Graces is overtracked. No way it sold 127k on fw USA.
think-man (on 27 August 2013)
Hope it can hit 1 million.
Nem (on 25 August 2013)
Lets not forget this game had a simultaneous digital release while graces f didnt. So maybe thats where those sales numbers went.
iceland (on 24 August 2013)
Yeah, it's pretty good for Europe. I thought for sure the USA FW was going to be better than Graces F's. Still good numbers though
Nem (on 23 August 2013)
Wright, thats more than double the opening week of tales of graces f. Europe is definitly trying but it still has ways to go.
RaitheNoblesse (on 23 August 2013)
this game deserves to sell at least as good as Ni no Kuni (actually deserves to sell better)
it's imo better than Vesperia (better overwolrd and "outer area" exploring and item searching/colleting, better characters and character constelations, ect....),
of the big name (and "group") J-RPGs, it's one of the best so far.. (only Xenoblade being better..., Xillia does not have to hide from the latestest FF's, DQ's ect. that came to the west)
just hope Xillia 2 will be as good (and sell as good too)..., maybe one day, Nintendo & Bandai/Namco will bring out their top J-RPGs sooner to the west...
Wright (on 23 August 2013)
Europe, do you even try?

Million seller soon confirmed. Congratulation...
Nem (on 22 August 2013)
I can say with 100% certainty that what the previous poster said is not the case. The only countries that are arsy about language are Spain, Fance and germany and really they should fall in place with everyone else. English is alot more enjoyable. When the games are translated to local languages they lose alot of the appeal and often sound dumb. Also this was the biggest opening of a Tales game i europe. It was a sucess. They usually have pretty good legs aswell.
rpgmaniac (on 22 August 2013)
Europe as everyone knows is not an English speaking country here we are used to read subs compare to US what I'm trying to say? that European people appreciate much more the original language in movies/games/anime etc, we read subs anyway even when the game is in English because for most of us who English is not our mother tongue is much easier to understand by reading compared to hear, so if u wonder why Xillia sales sucks in EU one of the reason is the absense of the original voice overs, yep for us here that's something that matters very much, I understand that most Americans prefer the dub but guess what we don't want all the same things.
Arfen (on 22 August 2013)
Why Global chart puts like it has 1 week of sales?
@I _LOVE_GIGGS Graces is a good game too. But let me tell you that the best JRPG of this gen was Xenoblade by far
I LOVE GIGGS (on 22 August 2013)
I became a "Tales of" fan after I played Tales of Vesperia, the best JRPG this generation. But guess what, I never played any other game. Vesperia is the only Tales of game I played. I want to buy one now. Should I go with this or Tales of Graces f?
caronthefiend (on 22 August 2013)
Poor sales in Europe for the first week. It deserved something better
ALfromHELLSING (on 17 August 2013)
Tales of Xillia is my favorite PS3 RPG hands down, loving every minute of it. I hope it sells good enough here and will make Bamco happy, so they can bring us more Tales in the future.
@Otakumegane wasn't received well, how come? from Wiki: Tales of Xillia was received positively in Japan. Famitsu score: 39/40.
AshKetchum1992 (on 02 August 2013)
Only 3 days left :)
Turkish (on 24 June 2013)
Undertracked. Best Tales game.
Otakumegane (on 12 May 2013)
I heard this game wasn't received very well in Japan, even if it sold a lot.
And Micheal, you forget that Symphonia also had a PS2 version which sold around 440k lolz.
iceland (on 19 February 2013)
This is going to be a million seller! n_n
Michael-5 (on 11 November 2012)
Iveyboi, this could be the best selling Tales of ever. If it sold 760k already, it only needs 340k to beat Symphonia, and it should do that in USA alone since the most niche JRPG's match the units sold in Japan here. - http://www.gamespot.com/news/tales-of-xillia-getting-western-release-6385882
Michael-5 (on 11 November 2012)
This game sold 760,000 units, not 660,000 units, and is getting a western release window of 2013. YAY this game is releasing outside of Japan, this is basically my most anticipated PS3 game.
Kresnik (on 28 October 2012)
I wonder how many sales this will get once it releases in the West. Tales of games normally sell quite decently in the USA.
And I know it will be getting at least +1 from Europe! :D
Iveyboi (on 02 August 2012)
Could it be the highest selling tales ever (better than Symphonia)?
Bristow9091 (on 29 July 2012)
This will DEFINITELY hit over 1m sales when it comes over to the west :D
Boutros (on 08 May 2012)
I don't get why they keep on shipping copies if it stopped selling :/ I guess it might be selling better outside of Japan.
shanbcn (on 08 May 2012)
770k shipped overall.
Adamx509 (on 02 May 2012)
Banco better release it here in the US! Graces f is about to hit 200k here so they should be satisfied with that and not to mention it hasnt released in europe. I think xillia can sell 250-300k in the US and around 150k+ in europe..
SnakeDrake (on 12 April 2012)
Where is HK numbers
arcane_chaos (on 09 April 2012)
hopefully with this coming to the west we might actually have another 1mil+ tales game!!!
PhantomLink (on 01 April 2012)
You are suggesting that a game is undertracked based on data that includes a region not listed in the site. Maybe is undertracked (I would like that too) but you are not providing the right information to prove it.
Boutros (on 01 April 2012)
So? Why don't have Asian numbers? And they reported that they had shipped 740k back in November so they shipped 20k more since then. That kind of suggests that it was not overshipped.
PhantomLink (on 01 April 2012)
That's shipped and including all Asia, not just Japan.
Boutros (on 18 March 2012)
Based on Namco this has sold 760k copies.
binary solo (on 02 March 2012)
So, what is it with Namco and Tales games? They almost never seem to bring Tales games to the west, nearly always handing the global releases to other publishers: Atari, Ubisoft, Nintendo. 90% of Namco published Tales titles are Japan only. Still I guess if they don't see much profit from publication outside Japan why do it?
Ironic therefore that Namco chose to be the publisher of Demon's Souls, not one of their own IPs, in Europe, a game that was never going to be released in Europe by either the Japan publisher or the USA Publisher.
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 14 February 2012)
sales are amazing!
SnakeDrake (on 06 January 2012)
Come on Namco if you guys can release a tekken game worldwide day one why not this
outlawauron (on 02 November 2011)
I'd say that this is very slightly undertracked. Having 130k on shelves doesn't sound right for this type of game.
Boutros (on 02 November 2011)
Hmm Namco shipped 740k copies. It's now officially the best selling Tales of game outside the Destiny series. It could reach 1 million if they release the game worldwide and could become the best selling Tales of game ever..
DakonBlackblade (on 24 October 2011)
Ppl are drooling for this game on the West and Banco dont localize it, instead theyll bring Graces wich isnt a particularly strong entry on the series, game wont get amazing reviews wont sell too well (itll sell well but Banco expects it to sell like 1 million on USA alone theyre crazy) and theyll use it as an excuse for not localizing Xillia.
whatz3rname (on 21 October 2011)
Could reach 700k with the best version.
DannyDanger89 (on 08 October 2011)
They could get that million mark if they just localize dammit!
Mordred11 (on 06 October 2011)
damn, kind of a big drop in the 3rd week.
Boutros (on 30 September 2011)
It should end up with 650k-700k LT.
A203D (on 30 September 2011)
Looks like it could end up doing 800k-1mil in Japan alone. very impressive. now for a western release...
lurkerwithnosoul (on 29 September 2011)
Great first week sales. Huge drop in the second week.
Lynx_7 (on 24 September 2011)
damnit, i was trying to use the search bar, nevermind that haha
Lynx_7 (on 24 September 2011)
Gearbox (on 23 September 2011)
@TheConduit - ive heard that 1 before
spurgeonryan (on 23 September 2011)
Sales did not collapse as much as I thought they would!
enditall727 (on 23 September 2011)
oh 53k =P so this will hit 600k in its 4th week
enditall727 (on 21 September 2011)
47k 2nd week? nevermind about what i said Xillia hitting 700k in it's 4th week..
Yamaneko22 (on 20 September 2011)
Wow, with such a debut Namdai will hepoefully give this game a chance in Europe and NA
TheConduit (on 20 September 2011)
This could be the game that launches the tales series into being a success outside of Japan.
Rawnchie14 (on 17 September 2011)
Must have, they MUST bring this to the States
A203D (on 17 September 2011)
I think theres a good chance this will come to the west, if Graces F does well. a worldwide release would go over 1 mil imo!!
TheConduit (on 17 September 2011)
If they ever needed to bring a tales game to America and EMEAA this is it. Highest rated Tales game by famitsu ever.
gunslinger (on 16 September 2011)
I wan this game SO bad!!! I hope Namco decides to release it in the US. Can't wait for Tales of Graces F either....in 2012!!! Well, at least it's coming here.
Kyuu (on 16 September 2011)
it'll most likely sell somewhere between 850-900k lifetime.
Zkuq (on 16 September 2011)
enditall727 (on 16 September 2011)
so what do you guys think this game will do lifetime in japan? i think it will do 700k-1mill. it will probably hit 700k in it's 4th week
Gearbox (on 16 September 2011)
2nd biggest ps3 lanuch week in japan?
Vueguy (on 16 September 2011)
pretty good selling, i want this game in the US. Tales of Xillia, Graces/F, Vesperia >>> FF13
Mordred11 (on 14 September 2011)
amazing FW in japan!
Kyuu (on 02 September 2011)
why does this series have to be underrated T_T
