Game Overview

Golf is the first golf game in the Mario Golf series, developed and published by Nintendo for the NES, PC-88, Famicom Disk System, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance e-reader, and the Nintendo 3DS via the Virtual Console. The FDS version of the game, Golf: Japan Course and Golf: US, were small updated ports of the original NES release.

The game features Mario, appearing in an outfit of a plain white shirt and blue shorts, and features only two game modes: Stroke Play and Match Play. Although the graphics were very basic at this time, Golf did feature the option of two players co-op and had many hazards and obsticles that the player had to avoid to complete the hole.
