Inspired by the hit television show, players control their favorite Historic Maximals or Evil Predacons as they battle for galactic supremacy. The line-up of characters includes Optimus Primal, Megatron, and many of the most popular Transformers. More powerful than ever, these Cybertronian warriors can transform into 3 modes, beast, vehicle, and robot. Players will be required to not only act quickly, but also think quickly as each transformation comes with a variety of new attacks, defenses, and combos.

Additionally, the game contains an endless variety of game play in which players can compete in extra mini-games or unlock secret characters and hidden modes of play.
