Game Overview

SoulCalibur is a fighting game developed by Namco and released on  Arcade, DreamcastXbox 360, iOS, and Android. The second game in the SoulCalibur series, preceded by Soul Edge, it made innovations that are noew present in the fighting genre, such as a heavy emphasis on weapons and eight-way movement system.

For 25 years the twin blades, known as Soul Edge, were present in the port town of Valencia, Spain in the hands of Cervantes de Leon. With the joint effort of Sophitia Alexandera and Siegfried Schtauffen, Cervantes was destroyed and one of the twin blades shattered. It was then that a Prussian knight, Siegfried Schtauffen, took the cursed blade in hand and the event known as the Evil Seed occurred. Three years later, Siegfried, now known as Nightmare, plunges Europe into a vortex of slaughter and a group of warriors gather to stop him.
