i think its a lil bit overtracked... number should be more like 500k flat
DieAppleDie (on 11 November 2012)
i absolutely liked moar this game, despite its inferior grafix over the secuel
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 09 January 2012)
there used to be hardcore on Wii in 2007 bu they moved away and are still moving because 3rd parties ony put their hardcore games on Ps3/Xbox360, also many people pirate hardcore games on Wii which certainly deosn't help
Fededx (on 28 August 2011)
I enjoeyd the game a lot, I usually don't play FPS, but on Wii I find them more fun and easier to play. It's a good game, and it sold ok, and I'm glad it did. Hope it generated some earnings to SEGA and HVS :)
spurgeonryan (on 24 June 2011)
I guess that they were not, oh well you can add my buy to it.
spurgeonryan (on 22 June 2011)
Should have a boost this week if sales were country wide!
spurgeonryan (on 22 June 2011)
I just dont like that they force the wii mote on us. just bought it for ten bucks, doesn't take too long to find a game, but the wii mote just kills me. I guess I should just spend the time to get used to it, maybe it will make me better at goldeneye?
Conegamer (on 04 June 2011)
And I thought this game's sales were weak O.o
Pierreism (on 25 April 2011)
Not bad sales at the end of the day. Now with the sequel, onwards and upwards!
fordy (on 19 April 2011)
This game feels more immersive to me than most, mostly because I share the same name as the protagonist.
Conegamer (on 13 April 2011)
500k, not bad! I see 525k LT
Fededx (on 31 March 2011)
Finally, now I'm satisfied, hope SEGA and HVS are as well!
spurgeonryan (on 24 March 2011)
Well its good enough for me. 500,000 sold before the second one comes out. Can anyone believe how horrible the wii line up has been the last three months? Lost in shadow then hardly anything. While other systems have 6 pretty good or decent games a month!! Come on Nintendo how hard is it to put out the 3DS? Get your third parties to put some more games out.
TheConduit (on 08 February 2011)
Coming to the 3DS
Conegamer (on 05 February 2011)
Surprised this is still selling. Should reach 500,000 soon, not bad!
Beuli2 (on 04 February 2011)
This game had better legs than I expected.
spurgeonryan (on 28 January 2011)
Bundle it! With the second one, for 60 bucks!
spurgeonryan (on 07 January 2011)
That was sposed to be a bit,
spurgeonryan (on 24 December 2010)
I wonder if they will give it a small push a month before the next one comes out? Hopefully with some decent FPS on the wii now , the next one will do good since Nintendo has fixed its image a little git for mature games.
kevinrize (on 03 December 2010)
450k getting close to the half a million mark.
spurgeonryan (on 26 November 2010)
Another discount this xmas would push it over the 500 thou. mark easily! 19.99 a game really isn't too bad. They can even make a small profit off a 5 dollar game.
Kihni (on 13 November 2010)
I Bought it for 15 euros..Worth it..
Conegamer (on 05 November 2010)
This and Madworld are selling better than expected! 600k LT for this? Probably! I'm hoping for 1mil for the sequel though, cmon sega advertise it well this time!
kevinrize (on 04 November 2010)
Still selling well in Others might make 500k lifetime
Venox2008 (on 31 October 2010)
I liked first one, sequel is gonna be even better :) ^^ those sales are too not bad
spurgeonryan (on 29 October 2010)
was that layoff at high voltage because of these sales? Sega is making this for other systems this time though isnt it? They just need to reduce the price on it for christmas again maybe?
Fededx (on 28 May 2010)
Shut up oni-link

410K for a game that is selling for $20-$30 at the moment http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=the+conduit&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=6377453143522414105&ei=Qt3pS_yCOZWqtAOwxPCFCA&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=4&ved=0CCoQ8wIwAw#ps-sellers

with also an average score of 69 on metacritic

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/wii/conduit

is an astounding success IMHO! No wonder Sega and HVS made a sequel!!!
Falk Sturmfels (on 07 May 2010)
Hey - we waited forever for the 400k-climb, and now, just two weeks later, its at 410k? Good!
intro94 (on 06 May 2010)
@Assh you are probably right. The bulk of core games(SH,MH3 and so forth) sold quite well in 2010, and its APPARENTLY making some wii owners consider their console a more solid CORE choice. This year TC2 will sound like a more viable purchase given the better reputation of wii for FPS(reflex)
spurgeonryan (on 01 May 2010)
you might have something last person who posted before me. THe holidays saved modern warfare game reflex, and if online is better then it could do well. We will see about others!
ash3336 (on 30 April 2010)
hankakacjd

I think it will definitely outsell this game simply because of two things: Largar focus on multiplayer (Online competitive, Splitscreen competitive, Online co-op, splitscreen co-op) and because its being released close to Holidays and Black Friday. Definitely at least 300-350k (possibly 400k) by the end of this year depending on when they release it.
Venox2008 (on 28 April 2010)
I liked first one, and finished it.. I think second will be even better than first one...
chris_wing (on 23 April 2010)
I got this game on the cheap after the hype fizzled out, and guess what, I love it. People calling The Conduit a "crap game" are complete idiots.
hankakacjd (on 22 April 2010)
something tells me the conduit 2 isn't going to sell the same numbers as it's predecessor
lightningsouls (on 22 April 2010)
I Liked this Game, but I Really Hope Conduit 2 improves a lot
MarioGalaxy (on 19 April 2010)
With the announcement of Conduit 2, the first one 'll make some decent numbers I think. 400.000 copies for a new franchise it's ok. Could be grat, yes, but that's really good. By the time Conduit 2 is on stores this one 'll be at may be 500.000 cpies, so the made profit with this title. Yesterday I was playing the multiplayer on internet and was amazing!!
I love this game.
spurgeonryan (on 18 April 2010)
Maybe it was because of my forum comment? Doubt it! Yeah it took six years to make it ten thousand so I would say 500,000 in 60 years, when the Wii 10 is out. It is still selling at 29.99 or higher in alot of places so this should have made more of a profit than madworld?
Timber8wolf (on 17 April 2010)
Conduit 2 is on the way!!! :)
I preorder it when it came out!
With Splittscreen MP!
Ninpanda (on 17 April 2010)
'Bout damn time!
darkgemini (on 16 April 2010)
What? 400.000 ? conduit? I can't believe it xD Let`s see how long it would take to get the 500k. But I`m happy, I liked this game and I`m waiting for the sequel ;)
IxisNaugus (on 16 April 2010)
@ -PaNdOrA-

Yep, looks like it finally reached there! Took it long enough huh? XDXD
Falk Sturmfels (on 14 April 2010)
Unbelievable: After six years of waiting another 10.000 copies sold!
-PaNdOrA- (on 13 April 2010)
OMG!!!! It's finally at 40k
Finally!!!
spurgeonryan (on 10 April 2010)
This game has not stopped selling. You still see at big stores for 29.99-49.99, and at games stop for 19.99. SO why havent these sales moved in months? It is way over 400,000 by now, that is almost garrenteed!
spurgeonryan (on 10 April 2010)

dark_gh0st_b0y (on 10 April 2010)
Conduit, Madworld and Overkill did good afterall, and are still doing!
mmpop (on 08 April 2010)
Since this game stopped selling we can all agree that it did pretty well for a FPS wii game.
oni-link (on 08 April 2010)
@ dark

esp when the avg cost of a game like this is only $5 M compared to the average cost to develop a PS3 game which is at $18-24M at the moment.
mpereira (on 06 April 2010)
19:99$ on GameStop.
spurgeonryan (on 04 April 2010)
Plus as far as I can tell it is still selling at 49.99 at my local walmart and target! I think it is well passed 400,000 by now. Lets start bringing the price down now like madworld and get another 100-200 thousand out of it.
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 04 April 2010)
making a sequel, means there is real profit with just 400k sold, which is good

maybe this is why Wii is still getting many mature games even if they don't sell 1m
DrYon (on 01 April 2010)
It's funny after all that noise the anti-Wii crowd and media made, trying to expose The Conduit as a flop and yet we got a sequel. The feeling of failure must be strong with them.
oni-link (on 31 March 2010)
No wonder why it got a sequel 400k copies sold in 9 months isn't a bad thing.
morenoingrato (on 30 March 2010)
maybe it already did 400k, because it's been a while sincew this game was tracked
hazmatkr3w (on 28 March 2010)
i have a dream......where one day the conduit will have sold 400,000 copies

uno (on 17 March 2010)
If HVS thinks that FPS dont sell on Wii MWR at 940k says Hi.
primogen18 (on 16 March 2010)
they were on a good track with this, I mean when it all comes down to it, their heart was in the right place. if they made a much improved sequel, I would be all over it, and keep it wii exclusive. also, advertise and promote it and maybe join in with Nintendo.
torchmoney1 (on 16 March 2010)
i think hv sould make da conduit 2
megaman79 (on 16 March 2010)
http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/specialArt.cfm?artid=22757

"Sega was very pleased, and we were very pleased. Like I said, with an original IP introduced into a market that is down, sales have been very good, so we're very happy. "

Maybe Conduit 2 is the best option for them right now. Familiar brand etc.
oni-link (on 15 March 2010)
It FINALLY got reduced to $20 in most stores instead of $30 so maybe it'll hit 400k units soon!?
Falk Sturmfels (on 04 March 2010)
How many god damn weeks does it take to reach 400k?
younghavok (on 27 February 2010)
I liked it, but since I beat it I haven't really touched it much. Its a good game and the online is fun but aside from that its nothing special. MoH: Heroes 2 was far better imo. Still a good game though. Just not as great as it was hyped to be. Good sales
spurgeonryan (on 24 February 2010)
that is true person who said wii has less AAA titles. Read my madworld post if you want a proper response, but I agree
torchmoney1 (on 24 February 2010)
must amitted sega is another top seller company on the wii
torchmoney1 (on 24 February 2010)
they could release this in japan since hv is own by sega
megaman79 (on 23 February 2010)
@spurgeonryan, The best games ever made, Nintendo games.
SSurTails (on 19 February 2010)
This game is pretty rare... had to buy it used
Cobra_ (on 17 February 2010)
I got the Special Edition and... well, it is not as good as I expected. Nevermind.
trickyvix09 (on 16 February 2010)
2622 0849 0948 add me
roccerfeller (on 15 February 2010)
spurgeonryan , this game really sucked. The Wii doesn't even have close to the caliber of AAA 360/Wii titles.
spurgeonryan (on 13 February 2010)
not when no more hereos did so poorly...good by teen to m rated games on the wii, and I can see the ps3 winning this year. What do people buy on this thing?Come on people!
hazmatkr3w (on 13 February 2010)
this only sold 1,000 in almost 2 weeks? That sucsk. Come'on conduit lets go gold in your first year
chaos20xx (on 12 February 2010)
is there a bug in the database or why is this stuck at 380K for the last weeks even the madworld numbers have changend several times in the same period
c0rd (on 08 February 2010)
Finally got to try this recently. This game is actually far better than I expected, going by reviews anyway. I ended up picking up Madworld over this, big mistake. (or small, seeing how it was only $12)

I need to just stop following reviews altogether...
torchmoney1 (on 06 February 2010)
this is a good game they sould work on a seaquel
oni-link (on 05 February 2010)
Bought it for $11 at newegg when it was on sale. I was done with it and was able to flip it at TRU for $15 about 3 weeks ago. I wish I would have kept it seeing it might be worth more later since they stopped printing it =(
hazmatkr3w (on 02 February 2010)
@Haste262
if thats true then GAY, too bad the reviews brought this game down, probably would be at 500,000 by now if the reviews were solid.
Haste262 (on 02 February 2010)
No stores have it (in stock at least)
hazmatkr3w (on 01 February 2010)
the first and 2nd shipments have been sold already. 150,000 was the first and 300,000 was the second
MarioGalaxy (on 01 February 2010)
Why only 1554 units world wide sold this week? Is this Game out of Stock or something? Anyone knows if the fist shpment of the game is sold out ?
Rustuv (on 31 January 2010)
just got it a couple of weeks ago it's controls are some of the best I've ever used.
hazmatkr3w (on 28 January 2010)
Still at 380k :(
darkgemini (on 26 January 2010)
will this game be released in japan?
hazmatkr3w (on 25 January 2010)
its still at 38k
oni-link (on 23 January 2010)
I'm going to say it again!!! This game still sold 380K at an average price of $30 at the moment; with 300k being sold when the game was still full price!
That means sales for this game is decent not stellar but enough to profit and very decent!
Kwaidd (on 22 January 2010)
looks like approx 19m in revenues possible so far. dunno how much the dev gets to keep when all is said and done, but I hope it was more than worth their while. Barring some issues, a great game from a smaller dev trying a new genre. Keep up the good work HVS!
D3xt3r1 (on 20 January 2010)
this game is awesome but with a few problems though but an awesome game with its controls and all.
ocarinaoftime (on 17 January 2010)
most reviews for this game were low....ign was one of the few sights that praised it .....its just a ok game its not got alot deep to it...it does look great ......average score 69 or somthin on metiacritcs....sega should be pleased with the sales due to the scores it got......big game sight like ign ,gamespot, and others help games sales with the scores they give.....
ash3336 (on 16 January 2010)
When everything is said and done, this will have brought in around $20 million in revenues.
hazmatkr3w (on 16 January 2010)
it'll probably get 400k by end of January, then 500k first year, then 550k lifetime
oni-link (on 15 January 2010)
It still sold 380K at an average price of $30 at the moment; with 300k being sold when the game was still full price!
BigGumby (on 15 January 2010)
Siko

Well, Call of Duty is like a 76 on Metacritic and Conduit it 69 or something, yet when readers read the COD reviews (and actually look at the reviews, not the scores) they'd see that its rated low because it's just too late.

Also, you're right, It's call of Duty, people know it'll be good, but for games like The Conduit, they won't know if it is good or not.
hazmatkr3w (on 15 January 2010)
@Siko1989

EXACTLY
Siko1989 (on 15 January 2010)
i hope this strucks gold (500k) but i wished it did a million ... critics fucked up the sales with there negative reviews... yes im blaming those fuckers lol
Siko1989 (on 15 January 2010)
BigGumby

call of duty didn't get good reviews either.. yet it sold better because its call of duty and its a big franchise.. The Conduit on the other hand got bad reviews and it wasn't a big franchise, plus critics even admitted that they hated the wiimote pointer for fps, it doesn't matter if its a good game they will give it a bad review because of that
guy327 (on 15 January 2010)
This is a decent shooter on the Wii. I also believe that, had Sega push the advertising a little more, sales would had been better. I mean come on Sega, is a new franchise! On another topic, i hate how Sega and other companies think this game didnt do good for them, when i see other games on 360 and PS3 doing similar or lower numbers, yet they dont complaint about those games, because the fact that they are on both (360/PS3) and then combine sales reach similar and up to 500k. Take The Saboteur for example, the game will probably never be call a failure, because it will probably reach 500k xb360/PS3 combine sales, but if a wii game comes out and sales are 300k or around that erea, everyone will call it a flop. Thats without thinking about how much profit did they really make since it should be cheaper to develop for wii than and HD console.
IxisNaugus (on 14 January 2010)
Are the sales picking up in Others?
hazmatkr3w (on 12 January 2010)
call of duty doesnt need advertisements, if it says call of duty it will sell..... i guess hvs should have named this Call of duty: Conduit edition
BigGumby (on 11 January 2010)
Yeah, I believe the reviews are what really hurt the game, otherwise, a lot of the owners of the 600k+ selling of Reflex would have bought this game. (Considering there was no advertisement for that game).
hazmatkr3w (on 11 January 2010)
to be honest if sega didnt drop advertisements after the first 2 weeks, i think it would have done better, but the poor-ish reviews i think kind of hurt it.
oni-link (on 11 January 2010)
One of the main reason's why this game probably did so bad was the fact Sega kept dropping the price of their titles every month instead of starting with a reasonable price point. Honestly, HOTD:O and Madworld would have sold their current numbers i(if not more) had they sold them for $30-$40 and give a decent advertisement. Now most gamers are just holding out on quality games hoping that the price will stabilize before they purchase them!!!
spurgeonryan (on 10 January 2010)
well maybe 450 thou its first year..someone said its down to 1 thous a week.
hazmatkr3w (on 10 January 2010)
woo 1,000 a week in america, thats good
BigGumby (on 10 January 2010)
Dissapointing game, wii is capable of much more graphically, yet the controls are pretty good (I prefer 60 fps Metroid games more). Great start for HVS though. Decent sales, proves Wii owners just want something better.
bmmb1 (on 10 January 2010)
No it was not "heavily advertised"
ShadowSoldier (on 09 January 2010)
Wii fans hyped this to the ceilings. Its a great game, was heavily advertised and it still underwhelmed.
hazmatkr3w (on 09 January 2010)
500k in it's first year for sure
wiilicious (on 09 January 2010)
I'm a nintendo wii suporter but you cant say this game gave us good graphics, halo 2 looks better then that. This game make me sad so much hype for a game that is so bad, bad story, bad online and repetitive gameplay. God i'll keep playing Metroid trilogy for a while...lol
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 08 January 2010)
actually MW Wii makes what this was supposed to do...

great graphics, online and control custimizing...

Conduit is good game, but we expected it to be a bit better

anyway, thanks HVS for the effort and for making more great Wii games!!
metwars (on 06 January 2010)
sucks this didn't live up to the hype..well heres hoping to the grinder...which actually looks ten times better then this game
intro94 (on 05 January 2010)
wow reflex did outclass this so badly so fast.but i think, if tc was a better game, Word of mouth would have sold it more. It just has too many issues
Hobowan (on 04 January 2010)
looking at the sales curve, i reckon it will easily clear 500k within its first year.

with 25 weeks remaining, it only needs to average 5k per week.

considering there will still be another 3 weeks or so of elevated holiday sales, i doubt it will struggle to go gold.
icehawk101 (on 04 January 2010)
this is good every week is like a 1000 increase
Haste262 (on 29 December 2009)
Im thinking itll deffinately get half a mill life time.
hunter_alien (on 29 December 2009)
Well the latest LotR did terrible numbers... and like it or not TC didnt do amazing either... still IMO it will probably break even LT, seeing that it could do 450k LT.
spurgeonryan (on 28 December 2009)
EA has the lord of the rings games at 430 thous. so if those games didn't do bad then this game that supposedly cost 5 mill. did great!
kylohk (on 26 December 2009)
Oh well, if only they marketed it a bit more aggressively.
spurgeonryan (on 24 December 2009)
Game companies need a way to milk there titles in the future, kinda like wii ware or on the internet. Movies can re sell different versions, and get playtime on tv, and even re releases in the theaters. Televison and books can live on forever as well, but a game has a hard tiime getting more profit off of it after its initial release. While a mediocre movie will make a company millions over the next 75 years or so, a game makes what it makes, unless it is nintendo or tetris and sell a million vc copies or something.
Green Penguin (on 21 December 2009)
I predict 520K lifetime.
swordplay (on 18 December 2009)
I really wanted to like this game but couldn't, It was buggy and lagged too much. But can't complain only paid $15.
Tuulikk (on 18 December 2009)
The Conduit seems to be pretty much full price in Sweden. If similar situation in the rest of Europe, then HVS is taking in some beautiful money.
Tuulikk (on 18 December 2009)
If I could find The Conduit for 140 kr (about 14 dollar), then it would be no excuse not to buy the game.
josewiisantos (on 17 December 2009)
just saw this for 14 dollars at target in the sales section...next to Daisy fuente's game...just wasen't right
intro94 (on 16 December 2009)
while i like MWR a load more, i bought TC and i hope it encourages HVS for a MUCH improved TC2.It COULD be great if ironed and if they learn some from Treyarch.
Vil3 (on 14 December 2009)
this game rised to 10k this week =) will probably reach 20k/week closer to chrismas
SubiyaCryolite (on 14 December 2009)
Im happy for HVS. This game is fantastic for what it is, reviewers who compared it to Halo and Killzone werent being fair at all. Considiring this is HVS first real attempt at a shooter they did good.
Falk Sturmfels (on 13 December 2009)
340.000? Its climbing step by step. Good. Still the best FPS-controls ive ever played - even on my 360 theres nothing better.
snowdog (on 12 December 2009)
Given that up until recently it's been on sale at full price and that it's a low budget title I'd personally say that they started to make a profit after it shifted 250,000 units, maybe even 200,000.

Unfortunately over-harsh reviewing in Europe has done this title some damage imo. I still think it'll go gold before the end of the financial year though.
IxisNaugus (on 09 December 2009)
You can get this pretty cheap almost anywhere. Gamestation has this for 12 i hear.
Skorpion (on 08 December 2009)
$11.99 at newegg right now.
Falk Sturmfels (on 07 December 2009)
If they just get 5$ a copy they made 1,5 Million now. Coud it be more? Maybe 10 or 12 $? I think so. Then you have 3 Million Dollars, and that should cover the costs.
Tuulikk (on 07 December 2009)
Maybe the shipment of The Conduit is at 400k now? If not, it should be soon. If not at profit yet, is should be on the way!
Haste262 (on 29 November 2009)
Im sure this havent been updated in like a month or so.
SubiyaCryolite (on 28 November 2009)
Yay!
Siko1989 (on 27 November 2009)
black Friday? i hope it gets a massive boost from that lol
Batman...WTF? (on 26 November 2009)
Still selling...
kazadoom (on 20 November 2009)
300k mark! This is a good sign for the Conduit and HV, looking forward to more from these guys.
spurgeonryan (on 19 November 2009)
Yes!!!! That has to be a hit then doesn't it killer
EL_PATRAS (on 16 November 2009)
just got this game and am totally enjoying it
Siko1989 (on 16 November 2009)
i hope Christmas would give it some kind of boost
primogen18 (on 15 November 2009)
300 THOUSAND... thousand.. lol, not million. still good though, this will have more steady sales so I mean its a good sign.
Killergran (on 15 November 2009)
@Spurgeonryan - 300 million copies sold confirmed!
DavidValbu (on 15 November 2009)
first shipment sold

Next stop: 400.000!
spurgeonryan (on 13 November 2009)
Well thats what I've been waiting for. 300,000 thousand.
oni-link (on 11 November 2009)
no I think at around 150k-200k in sales I could definitely see HVS actually having some kind of profit. The revenue of such #'s would bring in between $7.5-10M minus 25% that the retailer actually profits off the game (roughly $12-13 every $50 game if I remember). It reached 250k before the $30 official price cut so it should have been profitable by then. The Conduit isn't a bomb with 300k in sales but it isn't a rousing success either until it reaches 400k-500k in sales.
Tuulikk (on 10 November 2009)
I don't think The Conduit can make a profit at 200k. But maybe at or after 350-500k shipped to stores, or something.

Sure, Sega probably profits as they ain't much more then the publisher. High Voltage Studios might profit from sales of their other games.

The work on The Conduit might save HVS some money on their game projects, but they also has to sell. Something The Conduit ain't the best at.

Anyway, at about 300k and selling steady every week means that The Conduit ain't a flop yet and it might save it self. Maybe Christmas will give some boast.

It wouldn't surprise me if they started to make a profit around the 200,000 mark, maybe even less than that.

I'd say the sequel is pretty much guaranteed already."

Close to 300k - not that bad. Should reach the profit zone soon.

Actually it probably already is if you consider that it only cost Sega $5 million to release this thing; and HVS used this game as a basis for their Q3 engine which will see release on several of their games. If you multiply $50 by 290K you get around $15M then subtract around 25% for what the retailers use as mark up for selling their games.

This game is now $30. Sales should have a nice little spike.

I for one is in the Wii360 at the moment(more Nintendo but I love games) and enjoying both systems immensely. It just seems kinda dumb that the same ppl who refused to buy a Wii because of they said it lack quality games are now complaining because the system is now getting great 3rd party support and great games.
oni-link (on 03 November 2009)
Spurgeonryan, I'm not for or against bone in the madworld thread. It just seems kinda' silly for him to be complaining about quality titles being released for the Wii. I was trying to understand his frustration and why he couldn't just pick up the game and have fun with it? The only other reason I can think of is he has one of the HD consoles and would love to play some of the great titles coming out on the Wii lately. I know a couple of PS3 and 360 owners that are frustrated that they can't play Muramasa, Little King, Cursed Mountain, Boy and his Blob, Dead Space:Extraction (which debut on the HD consoles) and are hating on the system because of it.
oni-link (on 03 November 2009)
opps I had two windows opened during that time(I was also responding in the cursed mountain thread) and probably typed on the wrong box. It was a long night and I probably needed to pay more attention. I'll move the post to the proper one...much thanks marc!
marcoberry3 (on 02 November 2009)
why is oni talking about cursed mountain?
famousringo (on 02 November 2009)
Sega says 270k sales in EU and NA through to September. Seems pretty consistent with VGC, maybe a little overtracked if Sega's talking about shipped numbers:

spurgeonryan (on 01 November 2009)
Oni-link are you for or against bonitis from the madworld thread? Nintendo for life!!!!!!!!!!
oni-link (on 31 October 2009)
Cool almost 300k even without a price cut!!!
chris_wing (on 26 October 2009)
Nintendo was never off their feet, just the headlines. They made millions upon millions in net profit during the n64 and cube days.
oni-link (on 26 October 2009)
Cursed Mountain is a hidden gem. One of the scariest games ever created...hopefully that game can at least sell 100-200k w/ word of mouth. I think the Wii having 2 years of shovelware is really hurting these great games as ppl are gunshy to buy non-established franchises/IP!!
spurgeonryan (on 24 October 2009)
People buy cursed mountain and rent ju-on. Im sucking it up to, I just bought Odama and Gamecube zelda brand new from walmart. Lets give nintendo a chance to make the next system even better now that there back on there feet ( Greedy as well I know).
spurgeonryan (on 24 October 2009)
come on 300,000 in three weeks. I say holiday boost will hit it by then and it will get there. Hey DAvid val if this was on all other systems it would sell more than wolfenstien by alot. It has done fine. Plus (not a fact)I don't think Wii games cost as much to make either.
primogen18 (on 23 October 2009)
these games from sega are seeing some decent legs and tails (oo sexy), so im sure itll get up to 500k possibly sometime, madworld definitely, and HOTD:O probably more seeing its over 400k now.

how is this one of the most popular games on almost every major gaming site and it still bombed?...well the game's ok I hate the story it was kinda painful to go through but the multiplayer is fun!
Cheebee (on 13 October 2009)
Hmm, well at leat it's sold more than MP Trilogy.

Of course, it's been out longer.
Sad, really, both those games need to sell tons more, imho.

When sales reach this low for such a new game, it's bound to turn around with higher sales.
Product (on 05 October 2009)
This game was alittle over rated. the online was fun, but definitely not what HVS had promised. It will be lucky to get above what HotD:Overkill did sales wise.
Though Christmas sales might just give it a big boost, Bestbuy had a pricecut on it this week to $40 aswell.
uno (on 04 October 2009)

Finnbar (on 03 October 2009)
Wow I finally got to play this game today and what a let down....There are almost no cinematics, the story is meh the graphics are decent and the design and art style are so plain and boring. Im so sad, I was so ready to love this game.
AkiraGr (on 02 October 2009)
I just bought this game and all my concerns were lift off right away.

Its an excellent game with few minor set back but i believe it was because of lacking on funds. It has promise for a new ip and i am expecting a sequel.

Next time i believe they will make a better looking game artistically and technically.
blaydcor (on 02 October 2009)
The "only" is referring the fact that the Wii is my only console, on the amount of time I've owned it.
blaydcor (on 02 October 2009)
Why do you guys want this to sell so well? I'd rather really great Wii games sell well, not passably mediocre ones.

And put away your pitchforks, I own the Conduit and I've only owned a Wii for about a year now.
Tuulikk (on 02 October 2009)
With HVS working on Gladiator AD and The Grinder, there will be some time before they could do a sequel to The Conduit, with gives The Conduit some time to sell and get more worthy of a sequel.

A sequel won't be a unknown game anymore and it would be much more easy to make a better game thanks to all the assets from The Conduit and feedback from gamers and reviewers. And so on.

From the NES era to Wii, there has been some gameseries that had a bad start, but sequels did better.
ash3336 (on 30 September 2009)
Selling at $40 on amazon thus sales are increasing at 8k per week.
ash3336 (on 27 September 2009)
Then if NMH got a sequel then this should too.
Buzzi (on 27 September 2009)
@ash
HotD sold 10k because it launched in Japan with over 5k...but still good! If The Conduit is able to sell 5k or more for months it will reach 400k easily, even if i'm not sure it'll able to do.
icehawk101 (on 26 September 2009)
where does it say the total week sales? Also this game is quite fun, so I will be picking up future HVS games
ash3336 (on 25 September 2009)
Picking up in sales. Price drop on amazon.com I think. Hope this continues. Look at legs for Hotd:O. Sold 10k this week. Thats nice. Hope this can do the same thing.
BoneArk (on 25 September 2009)
8k this week and 7k last week. I wonder why this is starting to pick up.
ash3336 (on 25 September 2009)
Undertracked???

NPD says this game sold 72000, in US alone in June(first week for this game). VGchartz includes Canada. Unless Canada got negative sales, this games opening week should be close to 80k bringin the total up by about 2-3k.
Riot Of The Blood (on 24 September 2009)
Boy... people were putting all their hope into this game. lmao
spurgeonryan (on 22 September 2009)
does vgchartz track walmart? Games sell so fast there, but they still seem to have slow sales. My Walmart had three rows of ten dollar The monkey king games sell through in a few weeks. I know crappy game, but still where are the sales?
ash3336 (on 19 September 2009)
Could reach 450-500k after christmas time.
Soma (on 19 September 2009)
After several tries I finally could play online. It was a blast, absolutely perfect with no lag. Better than expected :)
Buzzi (on 19 September 2009)
Wasn't 150k the fist shipment? and then with the second shipment the total copies given to reatailers wer 300k...it's not a total flop, just the hype was too big for it.
Tuulikk (on 19 September 2009)
If The Conduit keep sales on this level, the first shipments of 300k will be sold out in 6-10 weeks.

I don't know if further shipments has made out yet, but it is about time. I think 500k in shipments at least in is possible.
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 18 September 2009)
maybe it's a flop compared to hype, but it's a good game
BoneArk (on 18 September 2009)
7k this week, might have legs after all.
chris_wing (on 16 September 2009)
"Please don't cut the price!"

Well, if they cut the price to $25 tomorrow sales would explode, topping 1 million as soon is Sega could press the disks. For your FPS dollar the Conduit is not a good deal as it stands. The only way I'd consider it at $55cdn if I only owned a Wii. As it stands I have a PC, and $55cdn on PC gets you much more FPS action. Farcry 2 $20 + Dead Space $20 + Battlefield 2 $10 = $50. You get the point.
WhiteX (on 15 September 2009)
No flop, SEGA printed 150 k copies for launch, they sold out, if they printed the same amount after launch, and that would be bad business, it is almost sold out again, very solid.
thanny (on 15 September 2009)
wow what a flop..
snowdog (on 11 September 2009)
Considering High Voltage self-funded the majority of the development I'd say that Sega started to earn profits from The Conduit a while back but I'd really like this to break 500,000 sales before the end of the financial year to guarantee a sequel.

The reviews in Europe in particular have been overly harsh imo and may have damaged sales somewhat. The addictive online multiplayer alone makes any review giving it less than 7/10 an insult imo.
specialops787 (on 04 September 2009)
yes. please keep the price at $50. i bought madworld at full price only to turn around the next day and its in the bargain bin. obviously youre not going to make a profit as easily if the consumer EXPECTS the price to drop sooner rather than later.
BoneArk (on 03 September 2009)
Sales will pick up during the holidays. I just hope they keep it at $49.99.
wiifan75 (on 03 September 2009)
Enjoy it. It's a truly fun game. I really liked it. The story, the graphics, the game play, the setting adjustments, everything. It was a quality title in my opinion. Can't wait for the Grinder.
Cheebee (on 03 September 2009)
Hmm, yeah, seems like sales for this game are dying off fast. Too bad, I just started it yesterday and so far it's awesome. Harder than I thought too, I'm playing on one of the lower difficulty settings, but I've already died a few times. But that may be due to the fact that I kinda suck at FPS games, too. :p
primogen18 (on 31 August 2009)
they really should have kept some advertisements going, or some promotion, they left this to die.
amp316 (on 31 August 2009)
Wow!!! The sales on this game really are dead. High Voltage should have hired Marc Singer, Steve Miller, and David Warner like I said. Also, the inclusion of a chainsaw would have definitely helped.
Plezbo (on 30 August 2009)
I just purchased this game yesterday and I am pretty impressed. Most shooters these days lack the difficulty of old school FPS with the regen-health schemes that they carry. This game is fast paced and fun, the enemy variety might not be outstanding but I'd put it comparable to Gears of War (the first one). Graphics are very nice and clean proving that too many developers are just lazy on the Wii. I wish this game would sell better, it deserves it. Not a ground breaking effort by any means, but a solid shooter with a fast paced, almost TimeSplitters like feel. Hopefully this thing gets a holiday bump and sells something like half a mil so that it gets a sequel or at least High Voltage gets rewarded with a profit.
haxxiy (on 30 August 2009)
@gansito - of course it is. Only VGC and some other videogame sites actually hyped this game. It's sales and the low critics score proves how bad this actually is.
gansito (on 30 August 2009)
this game is garbage and overhyped. Metroid Prime 3 is a million miles better in any aspect.
NYANKS (on 28 August 2009)
Damn, I expected this to be at at least .5 million by now. This thing had pretty good marketing, wtf?
Aj_habfan (on 28 August 2009)
Because those are big name, established franchises, and this is a new IP. Look at Cod4 Modern Warfare sales from 2007 and compare with Killzone 2 from 2009, not even close.
mandisc (on 28 August 2009)
@ Tuulikk
That's a good point. It's just odd isn't it?
Tuulikk (on 27 August 2009)
I get the feeling that there is something wrong with these numbers.

Where are all the games who bought the Resident Evil games, Call of Duty games, Red Steel, House of the Dead games, 007: Quantum of Solace and so on? Wii installbase is growing, but if the sales of The Conduit true, then there is less active Wii core gamers now then last year?
a3hmax (on 27 August 2009)
Guau, I saw many "killzone will save PS3" here.

RisenTerran (on 21 August 2009)
They should have named this "Wii Shooting"

confirmed 5,000,000 seller :D

To avoid copyright infringement they could call it "We Shoot"

Still a relative flop compared to sales potential.

Thought this would be at a million by now. I overestimated this and Killzone 2 pretty badly.
greenmedic88 (on 15 August 2009)
The story behind Conduit looks to be just another third party footnote two months into release. Unless Sega opts to re-launch the game for the holidays with renewed advertising (unlikely), the only significant additional sales will be from drastic price cutting (at $20-30) making it far from the success story many were hyping.
YesWiiCan (on 15 August 2009)
Hmm, I say 500k at the end of the year.
Video_Game_Critic (on 14 August 2009)

I feel sorry for SEGA
patjuan32 (on 14 August 2009)
I think Sega needs to continue to advertise for this game. It's the summer time and games face competition from movies to concerts and need constant advertising. This is why major releases happen in the fall.
marcianito (on 14 August 2009)
not bad i think
hunter_alien (on 14 August 2009)
300k sales on a 50$ pricetag maybe... but seeing that the price will drop off sharply from this point on, I recon a 500k LT shipment is needed at least to break even if the budget was indeed 10 million.
puffy (on 13 August 2009)
The games budget was reportedly $10 Million so I think including retail margins, the game needs to sell 300k.

Of course their Quantum3 engine was included in the figure and is being used in more of their titles.
SaviorX (on 12 August 2009)
Sega said themselves "they regard The Conduit as a success".

Didn't set the charts on fire, but then again, it didn't have to in order to succeed.

According to Sega, they have shipped 300k, sold through half, and consider this game a success.

I suspect it's modest success, though:

hmmm so would anyone say that this game made an ok profit 200k dont sound bad but idk what im talking about lol
Skorpion (on 11 August 2009)
@boblafollette - I don't really think there was any hype saying it was going to revolutionize the fps genre, I expected it to be a decent wii fps with an effortful online offering, it delivered for me on that front. Despite all the bugs I still enjoy the game, but HVS needs to invest some time in testing their future games.
Roflinator (on 11 August 2009)
@Kai Master: Three was hype but it was definitely not as big as we all thought it would be. Also, it was really just the internet that had hype, the press wasn't that big on it.

Really, it was mostly Wii owners that just wanted a good Wii FPS (that isn't a port).
Kai Master (on 10 August 2009)
I can't believe this game sales are so weak! It was so much hyped on the press and Internet! This is like if GTA4 sold 2 millions...

it will take it's time but will sell

I've finally gotten around to play the game (didn't have the time until now), and surprisingly (given some of the reviews) I am actually really enjoying the single player campaign so far. I really didn't like WaW's single player campaign, I really like the Conduit's so far.
Batman...WTF? (on 08 August 2009)
I like it!
boblafollette (on 07 August 2009)
This game was a huge disappointment imo. It felt like an N64 game, when the hype made it seem like it was going to be a huge step forward for the FPS genre. I am still looking forward to The Grinder, but will wait for the reviews before I buy it.

true. But it is an established franchise that has sold over a million copies on wii with COD3 and WAW.

Roflinator (on 07 August 2009)
@uno: To be fair, it's a 2 year old game getting a late port. We don't know how MW Wii will do...yet.
snowdog (on 07 August 2009)
This'll pass the 500K mark before the end of this financial year imo, guaranteeing a deserved sequel. The game has its faults but is the best FPS available on the Wii imo. It'll break 1m sales during its lifetime. Great to see.
uno (on 07 August 2009)
Conduit's legs will be chopped off violently come November 10th. The Christmas season will be unforgiving when MW Wii dominates.
puffy (on 07 August 2009)
I still think the boxart is killing this titles chances.. Deserves 500 - 750k
Tuulikk (on 07 August 2009)
Only 800k to go! Well, at least we have the pleasure of seeing The Conduit pass a few games that just like The Conduit should have sold better.

Alone In The Dark, Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop and FaceBreaker K.O. Party is in the dust. Next week it's time for Battalion Wars 2 to be in the dust. In a few weeks or so it will be time for Okami, Manhunt 2. Later on MadWorld, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams and Medal of Honor Heroes 2. The list will go on if The Conduit can do the same.
Roflinator (on 07 August 2009)
Sadly, MadWorld did better in Others. But at least The Conduit outsold MadWorld in America within a few weeks.
drakesfortune (on 06 August 2009)
People thinking this is going to explode in sales come the holidays are nuts. This game has no hook, no personality that separates it from the pack. The only thing it has going for it is that it's a decent FPS for the Wii, which is a rarity. There is no hype for this game amongst the masses, and it'll never sell like people think. If this thing has great legs the max it'll see lifetime is 500k.
kazadoom (on 06 August 2009)
Well, it has hit the 200k mark worldwide. Now lets see some legs for 500k. Come on Conduit!

SupahShnipa (on 03 August 2009)
I say .55 mil lifetime. A holiday Price Drop will help it's sales.
jbee02 (on 03 August 2009)
well they updated the sales records so instead of having only the first two weeks of sales we now have the first 3 weeks of sales, god Dammit.
TWRoO (on 02 August 2009)
@zaMy.

The report of shipped figures only includes the first week of shipments (to the US only probably because I doubt they shipped it to PAL territories 10 days before launch)
zaMy (on 02 August 2009)
Hold on, in a recent report on VGC it claimed that this game has, to date, SHIPPED .15million copies, yet here it says there is .18 million copies sold. The report had links and reffrences.

Hopefully this reaches .30 though, other wise I cant imagine any more FPS games on Wii (other then CoD from Treyarch)
KingHenry (on 02 August 2009)
I think there will be a price drop before the holidays. Probably with a $39.99 price tag. That should help it's sales.
Barozi (on 01 August 2009)
Sega sold 150.000 copies to retailers.
Those are shipments, not actual sales.
WhiteX (on 01 August 2009)
Sega said that it sold 150.000 last week of june.
jameslefeber (on 01 August 2009)
THIS GAME IS GOOD, BUT I WANTED TO KILL SOME BOSSES! i HATED THE ENDING!
Tuulikk (on 01 August 2009)
Maybe The Conduit is just going to reach 1m as slow as Lego Batman: The Videogame or a bit slower. Like 1-5-2 years after release.

The Conduit should sell 100-200k from now to end of November and could get a Christmas boost of 100k or more from December to January. That could put it at over 500k at the start of 2010 if all goes well, slowly building up to something just like House of the Dead games, Lego Batman, Sonic Unleashed and so on. But it could as well end at 400-700k.
jeffrey9999 (on 01 August 2009)
great game on wii= bad sales and bad reviews, figures that this game ain't even going to come close to 1million and thats ashame that most wii owners are to retarded to know a good game worth buying...........
Luthor (on 01 August 2009)
I bought it. It's fun but technically lower than MP3.
Buzzi (on 01 August 2009)
Disappointing but selling better than madworld, this will reach 300k quite likely, maybe 350k LTD...
czecherychestnut (on 01 August 2009)
Firstly as mentioned 150,000 shipped is worldwide first week. These numbers are accurate.
grimygunz (on 31 July 2009)
150k shipped first week in US 64k sold
Intendo21 (on 31 July 2009)
if its first week of sales were 150,000 then its way higher than what it is on here.
TopCat8 (on 31 July 2009)
I wanted this game to sell well. I still haven't bought it though.
Cobretti2 (on 31 July 2009)
yer but unlike harry potter this game isn't advertising in every dman catalogue. Also harry potter is a big icon to a lot of people.
dontsee (on 31 July 2009)
150,000 r shipped copies, not reatiler sold. *sigh*
coonana (on 31 July 2009)
http://www.gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=91505

Ya these numbers need to be adjusted WAY up. First week sales are 150,000 alone.

VGchartz please change to proper numbers.
GianCarmen (on 31 July 2009)
Official Sega numbers 150,000. From thier sales data up till June 30.Gonintendo.com. Thats pretty good.
SubiyaCryolite (on 31 July 2009)
It keeps on increasing by 10k everytime I see it, I think it'll flatout in the 300 to 320k range.
Falk Sturmfels (on 31 July 2009)
The sad thing is that the harry potter crap sells like muffins and this game starts dying. Unbelievable.
dontsee (on 30 July 2009)
i can't believe this :(. this game has the same fate as madworld.
uno (on 30 July 2009)
I am not a fan of this game but I dont think we can say if it "bombed" yet. Can we wait a few more months guys?
LordMatrix (on 30 July 2009)
So much for this game doing big. For a game this hyped it flopped hard. This is a very mediocre shooter anyway. The controls are the best thing going for it. Story sucks hard and multiplayer is very basic with nothing unique. I really hoped this would be good. Sadly I found Haze a more enjoyable experience overall. :(
almajovem (on 30 July 2009)
the netplay is awesome
--OkeyDokey-- (on 30 July 2009)
I only played the single player, mind.
SupahShnipa (on 29 July 2009)
I gave it a 8.7, It has a few faults but it is still a great game overall.
--OkeyDokey-- (on 29 July 2009)
Well... I actually rented it. It's um... not as bad as Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, but it is pretty weak.

I kind of feel bad for the people rating this higher than a 9.
Video_Game_Critic (on 28 July 2009)
Other than controls "The Conduit" Offers:
Great AI (At High and Severe difficulty).
14 hours of gameplay on single player mission on High difficulty.
A Variety of online game styles.
Weapon damage that is not too high or too low for online play.
Good variety of weapons. Unlike Half-Life.
Voice chat is easy to manage. It is very easy to set it up so only my friends can talk to me. Unlike other FPS. I have to listen to every whiny child in the game.
At least part of the game lacks health regeneration. (It is a start. Maybe the sequel will have none.)
Easy to use cheats for single player mission. This is not an uncommon feature, but I like it.
I have seen games with much less to offer receive low 8s. Call of Duty 3 for example received an 8.8 on IGN.com
MontanaHatchet (on 28 July 2009)
Yeah, the main positive point of The Conduit is the controls. If it were put on the HD platforms, it would probably score in the 5s or lower.
SupahShnipa (on 28 July 2009)
Video_Game_Critic
If it was released on the 360 or PS3 it would get 2's. The best thing about this game is it's controls, take it out and well you don't get much.
Falk Sturmfels (on 28 July 2009)
There are some points for critics, but also many points for positive things. I love the pressure to eleminate the conduits. That causes exciting moments - and the controls are perfect - except the possibility to lean to the side behind a wall. Medal of honor did that almost perfect.
Roflinator (on 27 July 2009)
@Video_Game_Critic: I highly doubt that. CoD5 got good reviews on the Wii.
Hardcoregamer1989 (on 27 July 2009)
HVS is the first to get the controls right in FPS on wii, so kudo's to them
zwei (on 27 July 2009)
It's a great game, the only wii's shooter with a great controls and multiplayer.
Video_Game_Critic (on 27 July 2009)
If "The Conduit"was released on XBOX 360 or Play Station 3 with improved graphics and dual analogue controls, the average review would be in the low 8s. However, it only averages an 6.6 on the Wii. I guess FPS do not belong on the Wii.
SupahShnipa (on 27 July 2009)
The Conduit:
Poor Ai
The AI isin't bad, it's just not fantastic.

Repetiative enviroments
agreed

Respawning enemies
All games have this, in COD they keep spawning till you hit an in-game tripwire.

Stupid time wasting mines
I don't have a problem with this, It puts some strategy into the game.
Barozi (on 27 July 2009)
@jbee02
Nothing what you say make any sense.
This game gets updated just as often as any other game and it has 4 weeks of sales in the US and 2 weeks in Others because it was released there 2 weeks later.
jbee02 (on 27 July 2009)
why do they barely ever updated the sales records, it's been over a month since this games been release but it still only has sales records from the first two weeks since the game release
TheConduit (on 27 July 2009)
Poor Ai

Repetiative enviroments

Respawning enemies

Stupid time wasting mines

Fix all of those problems and this game would have scored much higher
juicy (on 27 July 2009)
@YusukeUnlimited
i feel the same way i was hyped for the game and was gonna go buy it 1st week it came out, but then a heard how ppl said the it reallly wasnt THAT good. and their meacritc score dropped to a 70, maybe i will wait until conduit 2 when they fix some of the things that prevent me from buying it
YusukeUnlimited (on 27 July 2009)
Bad reviews killed this game(or at least crippled it). I was into this big time till a handful of reviews came in, which made me think twice. Then my roommate bought the game and further cemented my decision to skip it....It looked overwhelmingly mediocre, imo. Anyway, that's my two cents.
Majin-Tenshinhan (on 26 July 2009)
With the severe adjustments and the legs disappearing quickly, this doesn't seem like it'll be lighting up the charts... :/
SupahShnipa (on 26 July 2009)
I say the sales pick up once people start getting back from vacation. I know 6 people who haven't bought this game yet because they are busy enjoying summer. I say 1.5 mill lifetime. Sales spike in 2 months.
jbee02 (on 26 July 2009)
dammit vg chartz still only has the sales records for the first two weeks of this game, why is this game so rarely updated
Sherlock99 (on 25 July 2009)
the conduit sales are not that bad, i consider them to be good for only a couple of weeks. also chrizum just ignore him.
Chrizum (on 25 July 2009)
What has that to do with sales Okey? Damn, your trolling gets worse and worse. Reported, btw.

I don't care what anyone says, The Conduit is a great game and if u don't buy it, that's your lost.
Roflinator (on 25 July 2009)
Geez, MadWorld did better in Others. Wtf is wrong with them :(
Arius Dion (on 25 July 2009)
Very fun game MP especially. It will be funny reading some of these comments a year from now when this game is a platinum seller. Much like WaW among other Wii "flops"
Kwaidd (on 25 July 2009)
A great game imo. very challenging on the tougher lvl setting and a ton of fast paced fun on the online multiplayer side. After several weeks, my wife still has to yell at me to get to the dinner table cuz I can't put it down. A couple minor tweaks could've made the game even better, but with what they've learned from The Conduit, i can't wait for more from HVS. People need to support and buy it to ensure more goodness comes the Wii's way.
Hardcoregamer1989 (on 25 July 2009)
come on sales please pick up. i wanna see a big jump next week US and Others...
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 25 July 2009)
the game rules, even games that sell 0.01 are still great

it's my best shooter, no matter what it sells or what reviewers think about it
ylowbstard (on 25 July 2009)
I was really hyped for this game; I just got the chance to play it and well... it pretty much sucks. It's just not ANY fun in my opinion. I wish the sales would pick up though, so more games of this type (Read: Violent Shooters) would start popping up on the WII, but hopefully their better than this.
drakesfortune (on 24 July 2009)
Mark Rein is vindicated.
_mevildan (on 24 July 2009)
I have perhaps been guilty of dogging this game, but after the so-so reviews I am actually kind of intruiged by this game.

Right now as I type this, 1/4 of the owners are playing it.

On to 250.....

mandisc (on 23 July 2009)
@ The Velour Fog

Remember that those European numbers are based on 2 days worth of sales.

specialops787 (on 23 July 2009)
i just hope they dont give it a price cut before christmas. seems like madworld was price cut 2 weeks after release.
wiifan75 (on 23 July 2009)
If it's true that this month is the worst for ANY game sales then that gives some hope for the future of this game. But Fight Night was solid and appeared unaffected by the season. Time will tell. Can't wait for last weeks numbers to come in. I want to see what Others has to show after it's adjusted down.
fairyliar (on 23 July 2009)
I ve received my copy 2 days ago. The game quie disappoionted me first, alot of aliasing, some bugs, online broken...Then next sessions were better and better. I ve set the controls and now it's perfect. The visuals are really impressive from times to times, weapons effects are really nice and lights and blur are not common in this level of quality on wii. However, aliasing on my HD ready plasma screen is still a big issue, above all in level like the airport. Some passage design in the levels are repetitive (sewers, airport, library...). The end of the second level with the ennemies always respawning till you destruct the conduits is frsutarting by its overdifficulty in easy mode whereas the difficulty during the level is simple.
But overall I find the single player experience really good for someone who is looking for retro ala Golden Eye level.
The online mode is really fun...when you managed to get connected but once you are in the game, every new party comes quickly. Moreover, there is alot of modes and every one can vote.
To conclude, this is by far the best FPS on wii technically, for its gameplay and fun.

It's sad the sales are so weak at the moment. Maybe it will be better after the summer holidays and got some serious legs but this is a reality, the today sales are deceiving.
badger89 (on 23 July 2009)
question that has to be asked is what is "good sales"? Is it a game that makes a profit? 1 million sold? 1/2 million sold? And how long do we give a game to reach our own "good sales" target? 1 month? 2months? 6 months?
Onimusha12 (on 23 July 2009)
These are terrible sales, no way around it. I don't care about a Conduit 2 but I was hoping this game would be incentive for other developers to step up. Rather its just become another reason for developers to not bother.

inb4 the numbers are adjusted down yet again.
The Velour Fog (on 23 July 2009)
Ouch. 18k first week in Europe.

It's legs don't look that good in America either.
Aj_habfan (on 23 July 2009)
These sales actually aren't that bad. It was obvious to me that the initial numbers were way too high, but if you take the numbers for what they are it's not bad at all.
dontsee (on 22 July 2009)
@uno, i like ur optimism, but u know that, conduit doesn't sell, then bye bye all other games. bye bye all other major ips. and for tc2, grinder 1st they have to get a publisher. the days of the quality wii games from 3rd parties r numbered.
TWRoO (on 22 July 2009)
@Badger.. it release on the 10th July in Europe... which is 2 weeks after it released in the USA (which is why it is 2 weeks later in sales)

The 2nd week of the Conduit sales ended on the 18th July (just 4 days ago)
wiifan75 (on 22 July 2009)
Show proof of the Conduit 2 or leave it out. lol There is no reason to get fans like me excited about something that has had no announcement yet. It's just an idea I think for now. I've seen no confirmation but I'd love to see a second game for the conduit.
uno (on 22 July 2009)
@ dontsee

The Conduit isnt done selling so that is a very early claim. Plus we know that Conduit 2 and Grinder are coming to Wii.

AND COD WAW Wii has sold 1.2 mil. I feel confident that although MW2 isnt coming COD7 is thanks to Treyarch (makers of COD WAW Wii).
badger89 (on 22 July 2009)
how long has this game been out in europe? and still no update on sales. must be hard to get the figures i assume.
wiifan75 (on 21 July 2009)
That's what worries me. I want conduit to do well but it's amazing that the people favoring the wiimote for a shooter game are such a minority. So very sad. :-(
dontsee (on 21 July 2009)
the hope for the wii to get fps is slim to none. no well know ip will be published for the wii anymore. u can bet on that.
wiifan75 (on 21 July 2009)
I'm anxious to see how it does with a full week of sales in "others". And I know 3 people who are buying a copy of this after playing my copy so I think it will move over time but I hope to see it perform better sooner. The friends of mine buying a copy said they haven't seen any marketing for the game and 2 are casual players in their late 40s. Military backgrounds so they thought that was cool playing the game with the Wii controls. This game has a lot of potential.
waron (on 21 July 2009)
WTF? why this game was adjusted down? didn't it sell 100k in us alone in the first week?
elzumo (on 21 July 2009)
I think it'll hit at least 500k over time...The holidays and price drops will ensure that (i think).
tedsteriscool (on 21 July 2009)
Isn't looking like it'll hit 500k but it may...depending on US numbers it seems.
MontanaHatchet (on 21 July 2009)
Call of Duty: World at War had next to no internet hype (for the Wii version that is). This has tons. I expect more, and I know a lot of other people do too.
snyperdud (on 21 July 2009)
I predict a fair amount of legs with this one.

I bet it will sell over 500k lifetime.
FootballFan (on 20 July 2009)

Looking at metacritic the reviews for this game vary considerable

This game was a dissapointment
xcot (on 20 July 2009)
its like reviewers were trying to stop this game from selling well. There's a limit to opinions about a game and nobody can justify giving it lower than 7, especially 4.
hunter_alien (on 20 July 2009)
Oh common... split screen wouldent have saved this game, lets dont fool ourselves... unfortunatly it looks like it bombed :-( Lets hope for some decent legs...

damn, :/ looks like the online will suck in EU....
thanny (on 20 July 2009)
VGChartz were waaay out on this.. bad for our reputation, because a lot of sites were following that game pretty closely...

If this game had split screen I guarantee this would have sold much better. On the bright side this will get a price drop in the near future.
Falk Sturmfels (on 20 July 2009)
yeah, but still these sales are good. Others-sales was just two days. Im sure right now that this game will make at least Gold worldwide, which would be the best selling game from all those SEGA corgames this year.
FaRmLaNd (on 20 July 2009)
Because as the website gets more accurate data the games sales get adjusted so that the sales are in line with the new data. Unfortunately that means some games get adjusted down, such as the case is here.

how do game sales go down as in it already sold 180,000 then it says it sold 140,000

Also they need to fix the American sales :/

People keep talking about bombing, but truth is, this game will have sold 750k in a year, which is really good when it comes to profits.

Vgchartz had 140k for the U.S, NPD had 72K for the U.S

haxxiy (on 17 July 2009)
Scottie: NDP data goes all the way up to 4th July.
Chrizum (on 17 July 2009)
Appearantly, NPD tracks through the 4th of july. So 72k is for the first 2 weeks after all.

First week should then be around 55k and second week 30k.
Naum (on 17 July 2009)
First: NPD is just the US.
Second: this is june sales wich means the second week is missing 4 days sales.
scottie (on 17 July 2009)
Wait a minute...

I just realised there's actually very little difference between NPD and VGChartz.

The NPD's month covers June, which means that it covers the same period as VGC's 1sst week and the 1st day of the 2nd weel. assuming by the second week all days sell 1/7 of the weekly amount then VGC puts the game at 94469+8850
ie 103 318 For the Americas
multiply by 0.9 to get USA
92 986 for an approximation of VGChartz data for the same location and time.

Now NPD had it at 71 000, giving a difference of 22k. So VGC overtracked by 11k and NPD undertracked by 11k So the VGC data was correct within uncertainties if given an uncertainty of 15%. That's pretty good
Kenology (on 17 July 2009)
71k NPD has it at is just too low.
Chrizum (on 17 July 2009)
My comment was deleted too. It was this comment:

At first I thought the campaign sucked but it actually improves at the end. The game still disappoints me. Why does everybody want to play 20 min. marathons with rocketlaunchers all the time? It ruins the online for me.
haxxiy (on 17 July 2009)
Overtracked by 90k, ouch.
TWRoO (on 16 July 2009)
My control is near perfection now.... I find that unusually the most satisfying weapon in this game is the stanrard pistol, I mean the shotgun is great too, but they usually are one of the weapon highlights of shooting games, but standard pistols are usually the more dull weapons. (not necessarily all handguns are dull, but whatever pistol an FPS starts you off with is usually dull)

---

Also in my last playthrough I started using the SMAW more... I had generally avoided it the first two times as I like a good wide open space with rocket launchers usually, but having it ready when you open a door onto a long corridor, and firing a rocket down the length to whichever sorry individual might be stood in the middle is very satisfying.

I think I will increase my shrieker use too, another one I avoided a somewhat as explosives don't generally go well in crowded areas.
mandisc (on 16 July 2009)

Played a fair bit of online last night. Got serially burned by glitches that forced me to restart (not impressed), but I also learned that the de-atomizer is a sick, sick weapon in multiplayer. I think my best run was an 8 kill streak.
TWRoO (on 16 July 2009)
I haven't even been online yet and I would still say this is better than what a number of reviewers have given it.
routsounmanman (on 16 July 2009)
The thing that really bugs me is most that reviews emphasize on the bland single player experience and hamper the game due to that.

We all know half the game (if not more) is about the online experience. It holds true for all FPS why not this one as well?
TWRoO (on 15 July 2009)
Also yes... I don't understand a lot of reviewers complaints. The graphics are brilliant, I will agree the art direction is a bit bland but it is hardly a game breaker. The voice acting is excellent, the music is good in game.... and great for the menu and credit sequence (though this could just be that I get to hear the music more without concentrating on shooting)
There is nothing wrong with the story, and I particularly like the radio's that you can tune in about the place to listen to the media's take on what is happening.

-----

I really only have a few minor complaints:
-no toggle for crouch
-I prefer being able to hoard weapons... carrying only 2 at once is too much "realism" in my view.
-I wish the running speed was faster, I turning it up to 100 but still feel a little sluggish when compared to how lighting fast I can turn on the spot.
-the above problem could be caused by the momentum effect that seems to have been added to running, where if you run full pelt forwards and then tilt the stick backwards the character slows down first before accellerating backwards... it is not too noticable but it is another "realism" thing I am not keen on.
TWRoO (on 15 July 2009)
I have tweaked a good bit more... made the dead zone tighter horizontally, and I did have the vertical camera set to "always with deadzone" before, which meant I had to re-adjust it to the centre after using stairs... but I changed it and so that you can look up and down, but it returns to normal if you point at the centre... I sped up the turning a bit too.

I can now say the controls are better than Metroid Prime 3 by a decent margin (before I would have said MP3 was better) but I think I can get a bit more tweaking done asI get used to it... it seems as I get used to a turning speed I can increase a bit and not get dizzy.
alexf10 (on 15 July 2009)
this game is awesome. i have 18 hours in the single player mode and counting....it took some time to get all the achivments^^

multiplayer is a blast...my only complain are the bugs. my wii freezed a couple of times during the online play connection.
Crash_Man (on 15 July 2009)
wiifan75 has exactly the right idea.

there should be way more gamers like you!!

and those gamers should join us at www.wiiaredeep.tk so we can build a community free from the "hardcorez" ruining the fun.
wiifan75 (on 15 July 2009)
I agree about the reviewers knocking this game. I just finished the single player game last night and I feel completely satisfied with my $50 purchase. The graphics were better than the NES days so I'm happy there. The controls were superb for me with the factory settings (just tweaked the turning adjustment for quicker turning). IR shooting can not be compared to a stick. It's just better. The story was great and the voices were great. It was all great.

I just don't understand the expectations of some of these people that consider themselves core gamers. I can find enjoyment and satisfaction with any great game. I'm a core gamer since early 80s. Some kid saying the graphics suck and the FPS aspect sucks is NOT any type of a core gamer. US Old timers are the core. Hope others found this just as satisfying as I did because I'm really stoked about The Grinder and will now be impatient to know the release date of The Conduit 2.

Thank you High Voltage for created a terrific game for the Wii. Hope more will follow your lead and step up the gaming options for Wii owners to have some more terrific games like this available to play. As a matter of fact, I even started the game over last night with the goal of finding every disc and hidden writing that I can find. Who said there was no replay value?!? I found it. :-) Thank you thank you thank you, HVS.
Arkk (on 15 July 2009)
I really don't see what some of the reviewers are complaining about. This game has a solid, fun base and great controls. It has a fantastic multiplayer portion. I don't know what else you can ask for in an FPS.
mandisc (on 14 July 2009)
Don't worry too much about being crushed. it is rare to find someone who is excellent at the game, at the moment it is still quite a level playing field
TWRoO (on 14 July 2009)
I managed to get a decent set up for controls, and have enjoyed completing the single player (only 7 hours though... but I was on guarded difficulty)

I am going to try improve the set-up further before going online though... I don't want to be crushed.
Rawnchie14 (on 14 July 2009)
I smell legs.
intro94 (on 14 July 2009)
so far its selling faster than Far Cry 2 for PS 3 did.
famousringo (on 13 July 2009)
I enjoy this game more the more I play it. Mostly because I keep tightening up the controls and the extra responsiveness really gets my blood pumping.
Voltaire (on 13 July 2009)
Seems like its doing well in Germany :P
Brummipluesch (on 13 July 2009)
Don`t expect to high sales for The Conduit this week in Others, it`s only 2 Day Sales.Hope it will sell very well in Europe, too.Good Luck The Conduit !!!
BoneArk (on 13 July 2009)
If anyone wants to play with me my friend code is in my profile. BTW: I don't have Wii Speak.
sep85dd (on 13 July 2009)
This Game is awsome, Im from Germany and i preordered it. So I get the special Edition from Gamestop. I play it 1 hour every day, but i had no one who played online with me :-(
This Game starts around 50 or 60 k in Others, In germany it is Outsold in very many stores and on 8th Place in Amazon.
mandisc (on 13 July 2009)
Thanks uno, we'll give it a try
Falk Sturmfels (on 13 July 2009)
Im a german player, and I love it. Play it on Hard. Yesterday night i finished the extreme fight at the monument. damn what the hell of a battle.
uno (on 12 July 2009)
Have them double check their connection to their modem. Nintendo recommends setting the channel to 1 or 11. I forget what the channel field is called but it goes from 1 thru 11.

After I did this my connection got better. Still I experience a lot of problems with online.
mandisc (on 12 July 2009)
I'm having a great time with this but my friends are not. The problem is with the online section. I am getting into games with no problems and having a blast. None of my friends can establish a connection AT ALL. It makes them wait in the already annoying countdowns, then just as its up it kicks them offline completely. Anyone else on here having this problem? I contacted SEGA and they have acknowledged the issue and have said they are looking into it. This is really pissing my friends off to the point where they have gone back to Call of Duty WAW and are considering getting rid of the game, which would be a shame
SupahShnipa (on 12 July 2009)
If it can hit at least a 1/4 mil in the 1st month id say it didn't flop.
bmmb1 (on 12 July 2009)
@palancas7
No it isn't, I'd be very happy if I am wrong, it's just that I have this bad feeling.
alexf10 (on 12 July 2009)
the game is sold out in my region (germany). noone had copies left on saturday evening...i know it because my friend wanted to buy the game and we tried it at 7 different shops....

it could be undershipped....the media markt where i bought it got only 3 copys of the conduit....and 9 copys of overload (in comparison)
palancas7 (on 12 July 2009)
@bmmb1
Being number 1 at GAME is also a bad sign?
bmmb1 (on 12 July 2009)
I am very afraid "Others" sales numbers are going to be a very bad surprise. It is my impression that Europeans listen much more to reviews, and European reviews have been even worse than US reviews.
Last but not least, the following may not be an indication of anything, but I fear that the game being on day 1 in the UK around no. 80 in Amazon UK's "Bestsellers in PC & Video Games" (and now already below 100) does not bode well at all...
Zucas (on 12 July 2009)
twroo- yea personally I still find the MOHH2 controls to be better but I'm sure I could get the Conduit controls to perfect setup. It would just take a lot of trial and error.
killeryoshis (on 12 July 2009)
It floped :-D jk
TWRoO (on 11 July 2009)
Oddly enough my main complaint at the game at the moment is controls, I don't buy into all this complaining about the story/graphics wank... I have played the first two levels so far and the story is no better nor worse than any other action oriented game I have played.

I have yet to find a control setup that fits me though... I will hae to play around more with the options (I have not spent that much time with it yet)

I suspect when I fit the controls to suit me my only real complaints about the game will be that crouch can't be set to toggle, and that I am not keen on the 2 weapons at one time thing... I like to build a collection, I don't care how unrealistic it is to be 1 man carrying a whole platoons worth of weapons.
snowdog (on 11 July 2009)
This game has been very harshly reviewed by some but thankfully it doesn't seem to have affected sales figures. 156k in 2 weeks is excellent for a new IP, around halfway to making profit already and this'll go platinum without a problem. Online is fantastic and this is definitely a must-buy for the Wii.
Buzzi (on 11 July 2009)
So also GTA:CTW bombed according to someone? But it's still selling well. This will sell better, so i can't think it bombed (considering it's a new FPS IP on Wii in a bad period of year...).
Fleeman (on 11 July 2009)
has sold twice as many copies as World at War did in it first two weeks, and as for the respawing enemies unlike other games that have were they just keep showing up this game you can stop it by destoring the portals so people should really stop complaining about the respawns
TheConduit (on 11 July 2009)
This game has problems but at lease none of them can be blamed on the Wii hardware

Below average AI

Annoying mines

Repawing enemies
WhiteX (on 11 July 2009)
@ Zucas
The game is good, barebones but good, it does not try to encompass a lot of new things nor reinvent the wheel, it is good looking solid and fun, both single and multi, a must buy
Vertigo-X (on 11 July 2009)
Legs, plz? :P
Zucas (on 10 July 2009)
OH wow finally finished the story and that is a brutal cliffhanger. My goodness they better make a second one.
Falk Sturmfels (on 10 July 2009)
European magazines and websites are rippin' this game into pieces. The difference between US-sites and Others-Sites are HUGE.
I will find out on monday, how bad this game really is. I expect ... ah, I dont know anymore. Too many different opinions.
Nintendogamer (on 10 July 2009)
I hope it will sell over 750,000 by 2010
Soriku (on 10 July 2009)
Wow, sold really well.

This is what happens when you put effort and hype a Wii game.
mandisc (on 10 July 2009)
Why was this cancelled for a Japan release?
Soma (on 10 July 2009)
Good sales for The Conduit, I just hope VGChartz will not adjust it down later :S
Wii_Master (on 10 July 2009)
want it bad
mandisc (on 10 July 2009)
Skorpion - Well said Little King's Story is one of the best games on any console.

This game had better get a sequel after that cliffhanger ending!
Hardcoregamer1989 (on 10 July 2009)
jordjtr
im hoping 50 - 60k in others lol.. i hope im right lol.. it made a good start in America, if the others numbers was up i say it will sell 230k which will be really good, that's 50k on first week and 30 k in second week in others
SnowFlow (on 10 July 2009)
Awesome sales so far, hello sequel! :D
sep85dd (on 10 July 2009)
I build it today, played it half an hour, very powerfull and so good graphics. I hope for much more games like these on Wii, I like the Contend, that you shot aliens and no real people, very good.
jordjtr (on 10 July 2009)
Hope i'm wrong but I don't think it will sell anywhere near as good in others.

Read a lot of people talking about the ads in the US, but like palancas7 I am yet to see one in the UK.
Skorpion (on 10 July 2009)
Now everyone go buy Little King's Story and give it the same sales like it deserves. :)
kbaker2002de (on 10 July 2009)
I think the legacy for Conduit 1 will be "solid but unspectacular." Gameplay and sales can both be described as successful but not a giant hit. Hopefully as they grow experience in developing this type of game their product will be better as well.
Nintendogamer (on 10 July 2009)
I did to adding +1 to other sales.
Naum (on 10 July 2009)
Well I did my part by adding +1 in Others sales :-)
haxxiy (on 10 July 2009)
Good sales for a Wii game, eh?
palancas7 (on 10 July 2009)
No ads in Europe?
Came out today and i know because.... I've been waiting for it. Other people probably have no idea this exists.
Bruno Muoz (on 10 July 2009)
Glad to see it didn't bomb although I don't like this game. I'm happy for High Voltage and Sega.
Samus Aran (on 10 July 2009)
I doubt that this game is in Europe yet. Today is shipping day, I'm going to look for the conduit later today, but I bet they wont have it yet.
Son1x (on 10 July 2009)
This is out today. I had it pre-ordered so it should arrive here anytime \o/
XiaoMay (on 10 July 2009)
I Wonder what Sega and others will think of it. NPD may adjust this up ?

Will it bomb in Europe like LKS and the others thirs party efforts ?

Or is Sega brand still strong enough here to sale it like crazy like a Sonic game ?
routsounmanman (on 10 July 2009)
I got it today. Multiplayer is reminiscent of Unreal Tournament to me.
Falk Sturmfels (on 10 July 2009)
Good sales!!
fgkiller (on 10 July 2009)
Game looks to be doing pretty good.
BoneArk (on 10 July 2009)
To all my European brothers, go by this game now! Its a great FPS.
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 10 July 2009)
2nd week is not big drop, and this is good!

the game rules btw
WhiteX (on 09 July 2009)
At a 50 dollars price point, the game is almost sure to be paid already.
puffy (on 09 July 2009)
160k is not too bad but I'm looking out for what the floor will be in sales in the next few weeks
thedtrain989 (on 09 July 2009)
i wish this was #1 in its debut, but 3rd is good, not great, but solid.
compare its nearly 100k first week to Wii's Call of Duty: WoW's 44k. That game is now a million seller.
Good news for high voltage: this will no doubt turn them a profit.
Thus, affirmation and more resources for The Grinder and future projects!
Kenology (on 09 July 2009)
Finally! Numbers! Good opening for The Conduit!
mfogg20 (on 09 July 2009)
the next week should be about 55k.. cause ioi said it did 150,000 in its first two weeks
EntilZha (on 09 July 2009)
Released on the 23rd, numbers as of the 27th, so almost 100,000 in the first 5 days. Not to shabby. Hoping for 150,000 for July 4th numbers.
burgerstein (on 09 July 2009)
Woohoo, Conduit numbers.
mandisc (on 09 July 2009)
played for about 4 hours today and I have to say I am really enjoying this. The single player is enjoyable and I like the sci-fi story, but multi player is the real attraction here! On the whole the game reminds me of Perfect Dark, but the multi-player reminds me of the old school Unreal Tournament for some reason.
NeoStar9 (on 09 July 2009)
Do we have any idea of how many copies of the game were actually shipped out initially?
Nintendogamer (on 09 July 2009)
It better be more than 10,000 copies in USA first week.
WhiteX (on 09 July 2009)
No numbers????
My head is going to explode in a torrent of Pokemans!!!!
Majin-Tenshinhan (on 09 July 2009)
I'm picking it up tomorrow. This game better cross a million somewhere down the line...
Samus Aran (on 09 July 2009)
IoI(site admin) said 150k for 2 weeks in America.
SaviorX (on 09 July 2009)
150 owners.

Expect 200 about 9 days after it releases in "Others".
SubiyaCryolite (on 09 July 2009)
GEEEEEEEZ! POST THE NUMBERS! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!!!
Falk Sturmfels (on 09 July 2009)
Im sure its because vgchartz is still counting each and every Conduit which was sold.
sc94597 (on 09 July 2009)
Still no numbers? I think this is the longest I've waited.
Faxanadu (on 09 July 2009)
man, sales numbers are really totally late this time.
Falk Sturmfels (on 09 July 2009)
100.000 would be huge - too huge, i guess. No, its gonna be like our last posts here - something about 70.000. After three or four weeks in combination with OTHERS the game could reach 200.000
bmmb1 (on 09 July 2009)
The 100,000 figure was a very rough guesstimate, I believe the delay with publishing the sales data for the week ending July 27th is due to their having a rough time estimating Conduit sales numbers.
mfogg20 (on 09 July 2009)
this site has already said that this game sold right around 100K first week.
KingHenry (on 09 July 2009)
I am also interested in the sales of this game. It's easy to say that this game should have a better first week than the 3 other sega games (madworld/sonic black knight/HotD over kill). I'm going to say 65-85 units first week, which is pretty good for a third party wii release. I'm hoping this game sells well, so more developers will flock to this genre.
cacafina (on 08 July 2009)
@thelalaby
no
thelalaby (on 08 July 2009)
@kinghenry
metroid 3 has multiplayer?
Falk Sturmfels (on 08 July 2009)
Dont expect too much, guys. Everything around 75.000 units should be a great success.
wiifan75 (on 08 July 2009)
I think they are just trying to drive us nuts by not releasing numbers yet. I hit this site all day each day waiting to see conduits week 1 numbers. I don't want to miss the chart. I want to catch this as soon as it's up.
16-bit gamer (on 08 July 2009)
when are the sales coming in??!!! i'm dying to know!!!!
Samus Aran (on 08 July 2009)
KingHenry: You just described Halo 3's campaign for me. Thank you.
WhiteX (on 08 July 2009)
Well, KingHenry, i only have a Wii, so...
KingHenry (on 08 July 2009)
The best true first person shooter on the wii (Metriod 3 is a better game, but not true fps), but is that really saying much? Let's face it, there really isn't much competition. I played it for roughly 30 mins on campaign mode, and like 5 minutes online. My first thought was that this is was over hyped. The controls are nice, but i was expecting a lot better visuals. The blackground seems repetitive and dull. It doesn't really offer anything new to the table, other than the smooth motion controls. Good wii shooter, but mediocre compared to shooters from the other consoles. Multiplayer wasn't bad, i can see how it could be fun. I would have played it longer but i had to do something, and just haven't picked it up again since
specialops787 (on 07 July 2009)
Now, if anyone complains about the controls in this game, you only have yourselves to blame.
a3hmax (on 07 July 2009)
I was playing the game, I finished campaign mode and now i gonna try online a lot more than before.
wiifan75 (on 07 July 2009)
I agree with theconduit's posting. You are definitely similar to me with gaming. It seems that those that truly appreciated and enjoyed the Original Red Steel game are the veteran gamers that enjoy a great game. I loved being able to shoot at the enemy with my gun held sideways. That was a different approach that I'd never seen before in a game. And while I'm thinking of it, I need to call my friend and get his copy of perfect dark so I can finish playing through that one of these weekends when I take time out from the Conduit game.
Seraphic_Sixaxis (on 06 July 2009)
lulz, thanks i thought they were like super-powered people or something. :D
bmmb1 (on 06 July 2009)
I hope I am wrong, but I think that if the game would have sold real well so far, we should have heard something more from Sega beyond the initial "we are very happy " pitch...
Skorpion (on 06 July 2009)
Conduits in the game are the portals the Aliens come through

TheConduit (on 06 July 2009)
First off let me start by saying that I was slightly let down by this game.

It was made to be the game that launched the Wii into hardcore games

But whilst having not quite lived up to that it is a great game that the Wii desperately needs.

I am a huge fan of Wii FPS controls an am one of the few people who liked how Red Steel controled.

I have been playing COD WAW online for the Wii for ages and need a new game to get my online fix.

Hopefully people will realise that the Wii is perfect for FPS controls.
Seraphic_Sixaxis (on 06 July 2009)
Noob question here... What the hell IS a conduit anyway?
Shadowfest3 (on 06 July 2009)
The single player campaign is actually really fun.
GLoRySoGLoRy (on 06 July 2009)
where are the numbers?
jbee02 (on 06 July 2009)
I wish they would update the sales already. All we know is that SEGA is happy about the sales figures and nothing more. My guess though is it has already sold around 500,000
SmokedHostage (on 06 July 2009)
I'm not a big shooter fan but I like it. Better looking than Medal of Honor but the controls are slightly worse.
Falk Sturmfels (on 05 July 2009)
@spurgeonryan: Thats a realistic number. Maybe a little more, but that should be reachable.
spurgeonryan (on 05 July 2009)
Well I would guess at about 500,000 by Jan 1, 2010.

Can't remember if I've already commented on this or not but this is a must-buy for the Wii. Ignore the reviews, this isn't going to leave my Wii console for months - it looks great, controls like a dream and the online play is excellent. Buy this now, you won't regret it.
silentmac (on 01 July 2009)
This is MUST own if you are a shooter fan and have a Wii. Online is great! Despite bad reviews.
My Prediction 750k-1.2m ltd.
Crystalchild (on 01 July 2009)
i HATE the Cover. but the game itself is more than okay. :) every wii owner without the possibility to play HD should buy it. the others should give it a try aniway.
dampowell (on 01 July 2009)
I did my part, well at least for the second week sales anyway.
alexf10 (on 01 July 2009)
some reviews are really bad for this game....

i have a feeling that some people dont like to see this game succeeds....
Madanial (on 01 July 2009)
I hope this game will attract some HD gamers to try something different on Wii, The Conduit is a game that shooter fans should try.
Dang (on 01 July 2009)
So will this get updated today wednesday?
amp316 (on 30 June 2009)
For those that don't know Rick Neilsen and Kevin Sorbo are involved with this game.
TrueGamer (on 30 June 2009)
It probably would have sold more if the game didn't go out of stock in some stores. =[
SaviorX (on 30 June 2009)
Straight from ioi himself, The Conduit seems like it has sold near 100k 1st week in Americas.

Good sales.
kbaker2002de (on 30 June 2009)
This is a worthy buy. I have only played a little of the story, it is fast, fun and quite retro. Multiplayer is very good and is a very different experience than the more tactical World at War multiplayer. Game looks awesome on the Wii. There are some flaws that you will see, but they should not ruin the experience. I would give it a solid 8.0 out of 10.
BoneArk (on 30 June 2009)
Everyone in Europe needs to buy this game, it is worth buying for the great online play.
fairyliar (on 30 June 2009)
nobody got the figure for the first day sales? No communication was made by sega.
Hisiru (on 30 June 2009)
@24anahi
Yeah, it's totally worth buying especially if you will play the multiplayer mode. The controls are the best I have seen in my entire life. Unfortunately the single player mode is very short, and that's the single problem of this game in my opinion.
RDBRaptor (on 30 June 2009)
We need more chickens.
Falk Sturmfels (on 30 June 2009)
I sacrificed a chicken yesterday night and used all my voodoo to make this game a success in sales.
24anahi (on 30 June 2009)
is this game worth getting
Thechalkblock (on 29 June 2009)
Controls are the best I've ever experienced. Too bad the game itself is generic. I may have enjoyed it more if the single player was longer.
ramuji (on 29 June 2009)
Thanks, oliist. At least then I still have some hope that the game might make it over here.

No. It wasn't cancelled.
But somehow a 'TBA' for Japan was accepted & atm we don't have a way to set the release back to 'Add Date'.
Roflinator (on 29 June 2009)
Japan isn't really big on FPS to be honest.
ramuji (on 29 June 2009)
Is The Conduit really cancelled in Japan?? That is the first I've heard of that ...
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 29 June 2009)
i'm enjoying this game a lot!! : )
Games4Fun (on 29 June 2009)
This game is great!! graphics are pretty good, the controls are just awesome, and Mp is addictive and very enjoyable. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good old Fps for the MP alone. Best Mp Rule set is Bounty Hunter. So fun!!!
Theo (on 29 June 2009)
Reminds me SOOO much of perfect dark, and I loved that game to bits
ssj12 (on 29 June 2009)
no it isnt, we still have 5 copies at my walmart..
SupahShnipa (on 28 June 2009)
This is sold out nation-wide at WalMart.
NeoStar9 (on 28 June 2009)
I can't wait for the first sales figures of the game to come out. I hope it does well.
BocaJuniors (on 28 June 2009)
Cant wait to get it, btw is the online laggy?
I have 1 Mbits/s connection. In halo 3 i have no problem, but the connections is via cable not wi-fi like the wii. But 1 MB is ok for The conduit, isnt`it?
Madanial (on 28 June 2009)
After i spen 2 hrs play this game in Story mode, i found this game incredible fun.
This game become one of the best FPS on Wii for sure. :D
Exblackman (on 28 June 2009)
This is my first multiplayer FPS. Can't wait to get my ass owned online by you guys.
TX109 (on 27 June 2009)
the multiplayer is Awsome!!!!!
snowdog (on 27 June 2009)
I really can't understand how this hasn't got better review scores! The visuals, controls and online experience warrant a score of 8 or 9 before even thinking about the fun single player experience.
haxxiy (on 27 June 2009)
75 right now on metacritic, right below the "more amazing" Ghostbusters game.
SaviorX (on 27 June 2009)
100 owners so far.

Unfortunately, I had to delay being one of them.
Crystalchild (on 27 June 2009)
cant wait for the first weeks sales.
i really wanna see how its doing out there.
Excel_K (on 26 June 2009)
While the single-player is unremarkable (though solid run 'n gunning), the multiplayer is where this game really shines, and is certainly a step up from WaW, in my honest opinion.
Arius Dion (on 26 June 2009)
Single Player takes a while to get into, but its not bad, now MP on the other hand is straight crack.
DarkNight_DS (on 26 June 2009)
Great game so far. Love the controls and the guns have been pretty fun so far.
GhaudePhaede010 (on 26 June 2009)
Game is amazing! Just the controls alone make me want to forget XBOX 360. Loving it!
alexf10 (on 26 June 2009)
it is now nr.1 at toys r us....very nice :)
routsounmanman (on 26 June 2009)
It is bound to outsell RE4. 120k first week in the Americas.
Zucas (on 26 June 2009)
I just think they under shipped. My Gamestop only received 4 copies on the first day and all 4 were sold. I don't think it is going to represent a massive first week but still a decent on in America.
Roflinator (on 26 June 2009)
I hope all of those good sales are really that good and not just low stocks.
alexf10 (on 26 June 2009)
it is sold out at gamestop.com now....
Madanial (on 26 June 2009)
Oh man, i'm so jealous that you guys already playing it. ( T_T)
wiifan75 (on 26 June 2009)
Awesome game in campaign mode. Fun as hell. Online attempt was sad though, started match with black screen too and half a circle in the center. Since I had to turn off the Wii, I just called it a night and went to sleep (it was about 1:30am for me). Will try again tonight. Damn what a fun game this is. Worth the year wait in my opinion.
--OkeyDokey-- (on 26 June 2009)
Hmm...

80k week one. America.
DOLBYdigital (on 26 June 2009)

Updated Impressions
So last night I just played the multiplayer and must say that the experience was excellent.
I only experienced lag on 2 games out of many (around 20) and it was only slight lag. Joining games was quick and painless and the maps/gun layouts are balanced and fun. So now I can safely say that the online portion of this game is great and adds to the already excellent single player. This is a great standard to set for Wii FPS games :)

The only thing I miss is the excellent sever search that MOH:H2 had in it. I like being able to pick the games I join. Besides that its a great start for HVS.
Vertigo-X (on 26 June 2009)
@Dang: Well, you see... Getting more and more flashy triangles means you're getting better! xD
Dang (on 26 June 2009)
Amazing game. Multiplayer is fun as hell. I don't get the ranking system though it confuses me.
Vertigo-X (on 26 June 2009)
If only they can get rid of the online bugs!! :(
uno (on 25 June 2009)
Just played some multiplayer....sigh. My first online match was laaaaaaaaaaaagggy. My second match started with a black screen where I had to reset my Wii. Finally got into a non-laggy, non pitch black game and.....I am not the biggest fan I must admit. It feels like a basic Halo game. Shooting just feels like I am spraying people, ammo looks like glowing balls. Levels arent super awesome. Before I get flamed, I do plan on playing MP more.

...i do hate to say it but........COD WAW Wii is a more solid FPS Multiplayer game. Maybe its my taste in FPSs.
dizzydee_011 (on 25 June 2009)
I'm guessing a 130k opening for week 1
DOLBYdigital (on 25 June 2009)
Great single player story and gameplay. I started it on the elevated difficulty and it is quite challenging with the enemies rushing me and whatnot. Also like how enemies come from behind, above, and in front which keeps you on your toes.
Voice acting is well done and I like the background atmosphere you are creating with the radio stations and other secondary storytelling. I will have to admit that I do get feelings of the original Halo and Perfect Dark
while playing the game, which is great :)

Controls are amazing just as expected and the customizable options are just superb. I really appreciate being able to adjust every detail that is conceivable.
Customizable buttons should be on every console game period,
it has been in every PC game for years now so its good to see at least 1 console game offering this option.

The online is a mixed bag for me. While I LOVE the options, voting, maps and interface of the online experience. Nintendo really needs to get MORE servers and beef up their networking capabilities. I had lag in some of the games that I played online (2 out of 4 games) although it was release day so maybe there were tons of people playing.
I also only played a couple games and I don't see many others complaining about it so it may have just been a location thing. Still an amazing game though and I think the single player alone is worth the price, very fun.

Finally, I hate to say it but maybe HVS should go to EA to publish The Grinder. As much as I HATE EA, they do have good servers and online co-op requires even more net code ;)

Great job HVS!
Look forward to continued emails from me with impressions of The Conduit and more ideas/suggestions for The Grinder ;)

BocaJuniors (on 25 June 2009)
Cant wait to get it. I think it will reach 800k- 1.5 M ltd. go conduit :P
CONMAN15 (on 25 June 2009)
Stellar.
Voltaire (on 25 June 2009)
Its a solid 8.5 so far. Single player story is hardly there, and not very interesting. THe gameplay is solid though, but the online can tend to be a bit laggy.
TX109 (on 25 June 2009)
totally worth my $50
Skorpion (on 25 June 2009)
Yeah if it didn't have a single player and had split screen instead it would have been better. I'll be playing the multiplayer for a long time.
Zucas (on 25 June 2009)
Well single player is about what the reviewers are saying. Kinda dull, similar level design, and not so great story or character build up. But unlike what the reviewers say, it's the norm for most shooters.

Now multi player is extremely fun. Did a good job there. Exceptional multi player with average single player is good enough to purchase for most.
Blacksaber (on 25 June 2009)
Very fun game the multi is a bit chaotic but fun!
CatFangs806 (on 24 June 2009)
This might become the best selling shooter game on the Wii.
Snesboy (on 24 June 2009)
Worth it.
alexf10 (on 24 June 2009)
i played it today at a friend. i liked it alot but the storymode is really short.

but i have to say its really really fun. looks and controlls amazing. cant wait to buy my own copy :)

I can't wait to play this. But I'll have to wait until july 10.

:-(

Engh... Dissapointing, will be selling my copy back soon.
Kenology (on 24 June 2009)

BoneArk (on 24 June 2009)
I got the game but my Wii broke on Monday and I sent it to Nintendo to get it fixed. Damn, I really want to play it.
uno (on 24 June 2009)
am part way through the beginning. Controls feel like butter wrapped in bacon. Game feels like MP3 + Perfect Dark. Pretty good. Environments and aliasing hurt my eyes....
Skorpion (on 24 June 2009)
Played a couple games of multiplayer just now. Finally, this is why I bought my wii.
Phoenix_Wiight (on 24 June 2009)
wow, this game is great.
i noticed the graphics are a little worse online, but it's understandable. its so fun though, and a great break from w@w (ps3)
uno (on 24 June 2009)
Just got mine.....will play soon.
alexf10 (on 24 June 2009)
hmm...lets see

sold out at newsegg, best buy and walmart sites

nr. 8 at gamestop charts

nr.4 at toys r us charts

nr. 9 at amazons new releases charts (23 overall)

i think its not a complete bomb^^
Figlioni (on 24 June 2009)
Just got it. Playing it tonight.
Toddifer (on 24 June 2009)
I will probably pick the game up, but not for a while...I'm not a 'day-one' kinda guy anymore...besides, some one has to ensure the game has legs, right? lol
ash3336 (on 23 June 2009)
Canada got it?? AWW MAN I missed it...

But im leaving Canada for summer tmw so I will get it when I come back for sure.
SupahShnipa (on 23 June 2009)
Canada got it today! WOOT its really good. I haven't tried the online yet.
DOLBYdigital (on 23 June 2009)
Its time to understand what the 'shipping date' means. Many gamers mix the 'shipping date' with the 'release date'. The conduit starts shipping today and will be released tomorrow ;)

As for the sales of this game, I really hope for over 100k first week. That may be high but Im generally optimistic and hope this game sets a bar for future wii FPS games!
ash3336 (on 23 June 2009)
If it gets 100k+ opening week, then it is a million seller for sure.
gvangoeverden (on 23 June 2009)
I paid off my copy at gamestop months ago. just went in to pick it up to get told they didnt receive their shipment today and maybe 2morrow. WTF? gamestop you are one of the worse companies in america. You suck!!!
Shadowfest3 (on 23 June 2009)
Just bought the game and played it for about 40 minutes and I think it's a pretty good game. The graphics are awesome for a Wii game. I hope this game sales well so I can play a lot of multiplayer online games.
ash3336 (on 23 June 2009)
TheConduit....RedSteel?

I know CoD:WaW will sonn pass RS but its not the best selling fps yet.

I wish for The Conduit to sell ~1.5 million. That would be great.
TheConduit (on 23 June 2009)
Needs to outsell COD:WAW to become the BEst selling Wii FPS.

PS: Metroid 3 is an adventure game and therefore does not count
SaviorX (on 23 June 2009)
The game got an 8.6 from IGN, so it is good. Lets just see if the sales complement the score.

500k is guaranteed. 1 million is the true mark of success.
alexf10 (on 22 June 2009)
lol ok and what does the winner get?

btw. i hope you are right and i lose the bet^^ i want this game to sell :)
ash3336 (on 22 June 2009)
Fine then I make a bet with you that it will get ATLEAST 500k after 4 months.
alexf10 (on 22 June 2009)
ash3336 you are up for a big dissappointment....i think your expectations are to high for a new wii hardcore ip from a unknown dev.

if this game goes over 500k after 4 month it`ll be a huge success for high voltage software....
ash3336 (on 22 June 2009)
I sense a bet coming...

DirtyP2002

Wanna make a bet? I say that The Conduit will sell a million in the first 4 months.
DirtyP2002 (on 22 June 2009)
I think they are fine with

Modern Warfare 2
BioShock 2
Max Payne 3
Left 4 Dead 2
Halo ODST
Lost Planet 2
Red Faction

etc.

The Wii is not the console to get for a shooter-fan.

Conduit might end up just like madworld.
ash3336 (on 21 June 2009)
Well, I think those shooter fans will have to now buy a Wii as tons of exclusives and high quality shooters are coming to the Wii.

The Conduit
Dead Space: Extraction
RedSteel 2
Metroid: Other M
The Grinder

To name a few.
*~Onna76~* (on 21 June 2009)
Not sure about it, ONM UK wasn't highly enthusiastic about the game, only 76%, while they normally give high rates to exclusive games on Nintendo platforms. Sales wise I don't think this game will sell well. Shooter fans don't have a Wii, they have a PS3, 360 or PC. Every reasonable gamer out there even with a Wii knows that pretty well.
alexf10 (on 20 June 2009)
@ash3336

tiger woods 10 wii is better in the gamespot and amazon charts....

by your logic it should sell way over 200k in the opening week? i dont think so....but you can never now, wii motion+ could boost it a little^^

to be clear, i hope you are right and the conduit sells a ton of copies....but i dont see that happening
Vas-y (on 20 June 2009)
It will not sell over 200k in the opening week.
ash3336 (on 20 June 2009)
It is GameStop best seller...Amazon top 100 seller. I think over a 200k opening week is guaranteed.
alexf10 (on 19 June 2009)
i really hope this sells well....

i dont preorder but i will buy it day one at my local media markt (germany)

i have lower expectations then most of you guys. i think it will sell 80k-100k first week in the us.

with legs and good word of mouth i can see it hitting 1 mio. world wide in 1 year after launch....
Soma (on 19 June 2009)
Just pre-ordered it from Amazon. Hope it will be a good game. I don't mind if it isn't an epic FPS, I just want a good FPS that's isn't about World War.
spdk1 (on 18 June 2009)
saw two of the storyline trailers during TNA impact on spike TV tonight
mandisc (on 18 June 2009)
delayed in europe till 10th july...
ash3336 (on 17 June 2009)
But if you had no idea about the game, would you be convinced on buying it?
BoneArk (on 17 June 2009)
@ ash3336

It was good, I liked it.
wick (on 17 June 2009)
Just found out it's been delayed for another 3 weeks in Australia.

Damn.
ash3336 (on 16 June 2009)
Nice, atleast they are advertising the game.

How effective was the commercial?
BoneArk (on 16 June 2009)
I saw a commercial of The Conduit last night on Adult Swim. Just 1 more week. =)
ash3336 (on 16 June 2009)
I would say 100-150k opening week is reasonable though I wished 300k was the opening week. Maybe even 200k. But definitely it will sell more than Metroid Prime 3.
Slimebeast (on 15 June 2009)
How much do people expect this to sell? Near KZ2 numbers I suppose.

I'd guess with a slower start though. Perhaps 300,000 copies 1st week, but should over 2 mill lifetime.
ash3336 (on 14 June 2009)
I wanted this to get atleast a 90 on metacritic.
mandisc (on 13 June 2009)
boneArk

That's probably because they class metiod prime 3 as a fpa (first person adventure) or something along those lines
ash3336 (on 12 June 2009)
Some HD fanboys might say that it is EPIC FAIL that the best fps on the Wii got 8/10 on the NP.
BoneArk (on 12 June 2009)
Nintendo Power said this is the best FPS on Wii but gave it a 8/10 but Metroid Prime 3 a 10/10. WTF?
Chrizum (on 10 June 2009)
I expect 70k-120k first week sales (US + EU). Should reach a million within 3 months.
ash3336 (on 10 June 2009)
I would say atleast 100-150k opening week.
Hunter-121 (on 08 June 2009)
The German N-Zone gave it:
single-player: 8,2
multi-player: 9,0
tenkiboy (on 04 June 2009)
hopefully 1/4 of a mil in first wwek>
glari93 (on 03 June 2009)
definite million seller
ash3336 (on 03 June 2009)
No, but like what channel?

Others, like me, do not go to Blockys every week, so how would it get to normal public? TV. But what shows/channels are they going to advertise on?
Finnbar (on 31 May 2009)
@ash
I work at blockbuster and they are advertising the game on the tvs around the store. I would assume its the same at all blockys
MasterZack (on 31 May 2009)
just 23 days left...
ash3336 (on 30 May 2009)
I haven't seen an ad on my tv, what channel?

monkeyman40210 (on 29 May 2009)
I finally got it Pre-Ordered
ash3336 (on 29 May 2009)
What WhiteX said!
WhiteX (on 29 May 2009)
Look guys, i only own a Wii and have a hell of a good time with it, however, if we want to see more good, gamer games on the Wii, we need to pre-order The Conduit, or at least buy it quickly, before price drops, before it is deemed bombed.
We can do this peeps, so lets!
Shadowfest3 (on 21 May 2009)
I might have to pre-order the limited edition version offered by Gamestop. This game looks great!
mmpop (on 19 May 2009)
I can say 130 000K first Week in USA and 80 000K in Europe first week.
Kwaidd (on 14 May 2009)
have had the game on pre-order for a month or two now...but havent heard anything about a pre-order bonus or ltd ed. anything from my local gamestop as of yet. perhaps its time to be more pro-active and see if theres info they not letting us in on
mandisc (on 12 May 2009)
Game UK have changed the release date to June 12th from the previous June 26th...interesting
SnowFlow (on 06 May 2009)
I really want this game to do good. HV has worked very hard and they deserve it, and an improved sequal would have me stoked as hell. Plus I really want to see the look on the faces of all the other devs who didn't want to put a great FPS on Wii.
DOLBYdigital (on 04 May 2009)
I also just noticed that the Limited Edition is in the best sellers at EB and the game is still a couple months from release. Great news IMO!

I am actually really excited for HVS since they will have a great engine and great team to work on future wii games with the same amount of passion and skill. They really are showing many 3rd parties how to do it!
SaviorX (on 03 May 2009)
@naruto3336

I wouldn't say that much. We'll see closer to release.
naruto3336 (on 26 April 2009)
This game has already sold OUT OF STOCK on AMAZON UK! It is in the top 8 on best sellers on EBGAMES website. Anyone else doubt that it wont sell more than 500k in week 1?
PeteyPeeps (on 25 April 2009)
Im getting this game baitchez, online looks like the first online wii game that will have alot of people playing and will be pro, SEGA!
Mint (on 24 April 2009)
Same with the comment under me, with the exception of Smash Bros.
naruto3336 (on 21 April 2009)
I never pre-ordered ever in my life. BUT this game changed my opinion and now I am pre-ordering this but am looking for a pre-order bonus. The Gamestop bonus is only in US. I asked an employee and they said the bonus does not apply to them. Still going to pre-order in the last 2 weeks if I have to.
jlauro (on 20 April 2009)
I rarely preorder as there is often a sale somewhere, but I decided to for a change.
intro94 (on 20 April 2009)
37k hits on a game thats not even out?that screams decent sales already.
griffinA (on 20 April 2009)
People really need to tell their freinds about this game. If everyone just told three people that would be great.
Majin-Tenshinhan (on 17 April 2009)
I really hope this game turns out to be as awesome as it seems to be.
BoneArk (on 17 April 2009)

madmaniac (on 14 April 2009)
can't wait for this...I want a european release date !!
DOLBYdigital (on 14 April 2009)
Great to hear that you can add friends without the codes. I hope they have some kind of screen that shows you when your friends are online, like it did with the Brawl friend roster.

I personally am still optimistic with this game and think it will sell over 300k in the first week. If enough people pre-order it could even be higher. I can't imagine it getting less than 100k the first week. Spread the word and help get the game some attention to non-game site reading public :)
naruto3336 (on 13 April 2009)
NO! Half mill first AND sec week.
Gearbox (on 12 April 2009)
at best :)

more like 200k first week
Larknok (on 11 April 2009)
I CANT WAIT FOR THIS GAME.

over half a mill first week.
BoneArk (on 08 April 2009)
I'm not european but I hope they announce a release date for them.
Batman...WTF? (on 07 April 2009)
Dude I almost came when I saw the box art. I'm sorry but DAMN that was just ten times sexier than it's predecessor, a black box.
naruto3336 (on 07 April 2009)
7 multiplayer modes for online. Players can add each other without typing their FC.

For people that did not know already.

Hope the controles matches the "hype"

amp316 (on 06 April 2009)
That's a lot of wall posts for a game that isn't out yet.
mmpop (on 06 April 2009)
This game are going to have a sale number of 130 000 worldwide first week. Then after 3 months the game are going to hit a solid million. But the big sale hit is going to be in christmas beacuse now when Modernwarfare 2 isnt coming to Wii then SEGA can make a huge christmas advitasing and then we can se a 2 million seller.
Mr.Y (on 06 April 2009)
Rad box art.
madmaniac (on 06 April 2009)
must have it.... come on, give us a european release date !!
SaviorX (on 06 April 2009)
Boxart looks cool to me.

I'm buying this 1st week regardless of anything else.

I hope it gets around 135k in the first week or two. That will satisfy my expectations when it comes to the sales.
killeryoshis (on 06 April 2009)
The backround is awsome.
DOLBYdigital (on 06 April 2009)

BladeOfGod (on 06 April 2009)

CheoRock (on 05 April 2009)
I haven't bought Madworld yet and it is a shame. I just bought Call of duty:World at War and it's amazing. Now I'm saving money, but not to buy Madworld, but for the Conduit. I find the Conduit more apealing than Madworld.
naruto3336 (on 05 April 2009)

@ Guovssohas

Super Smash Bros Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Guitar Hero 3, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Call of Duty: World at War, House of the Dead 2 and 3, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles??? All these games are core and some even hardcore. Core gamers are out there. Wii games have major legs despite the first 2 weeks of sales. I think 80k in the first 2 weeks for MadWorld is awesome. House of the Dead: Overkill is and will sell awesomely. 500k point will be broken by both games.
Guovssohas (on 31 March 2009)
Current sales of core Wii titles like Hotd; Overkill and Madworld makes me worried about The Conduit. Maybe it wont sell very well, i'm afraid it will struggle to get close to a million. I hope i'm wrong though.. It really looks like core games just don't sell well on the Wii.
cacafina (on 30 March 2009)
this should have pay and play so later on they update it so we can play split screen.
primogen18 (on 30 March 2009)
Im hoping this gets some good advertisement. A commercial idea would be for mr ford to mow down a bunch of "petz" creatures and data design interactive employees to show Wii needs to rid itself of both....
Kwaidd (on 29 March 2009)
stoked about this game and can't wait for june. got my copy pre-ordered and paid in full.
naruto3336 (on 28 March 2009)
If I were to make a "Who's getting The Conduit?" forum on gamespot on Wii forums, I bet atleast 200-300 people would say I am getting it. This is just the internet. There are many other people that do not go on the internet and are just buying the game because all there friends are.
fairyliar (on 27 March 2009)
last GDC videos are really great, just like the previous were.
A first day buy I think.
If Red Steel hit the million, The conduit should be platinium quickly (I hope so)
Avarice28 (on 25 March 2009)
Sales prediction: 550k WW. why? Well shooters are late bloomers on the wii and I cannot see this outselling call of duty on the wii.
naruto3336 (on 24 March 2009)
No multiplayer vids but 3 mill fosho.
uno (on 24 March 2009)
me thinks most people here have unrealistic expectations for its sales. I would guess 1.5 if it lucky.

Anyone see any Multiplayer vids yet?....I .....am......concerned.
naruto3336 (on 23 March 2009)
please change these old pics and put the new ones. The new ones look way better.
naruto3336 (on 17 March 2009)
3-4 million. if its less than that, i dont know what i will do.
ItzMeeSnitchez (on 14 March 2009)
i'm thinking this game should sell at least 3 million. you've got the 1 million that have bought cod:waw so far, then you've got the other 2 million who are people with parents won't let them buy M games (presumably Conduit will be T based on the the fact sheet from HVS)/people who don't want to play another ww2 shooter/want a game developed specifically for the Wii/people who buy a Wii because it's getting some more core games now. 3 million at least, i'm calling it.
naruto3336 (on 13 March 2009)
the latest trailer is not the official one. its just for fans who want more new things as the game progresses to the release date. They have not finalized on the actual box art so this is the prototype.
ItzMeeSnitchez (on 13 March 2009)
i'm starting to wonder if this will be the actual boxart. they showed it at the end of the latest trailer on ign. that would be kind of badass i suppose.
ECC (on 13 March 2009)
most wanted game this year!
naruto3336 (on 12 March 2009)
im like the only guy who is commenting on this game a lot! come on people! share your comments too! BTW the new trailer feels like a movie..
CONMAN15 (on 10 March 2009)

naruto3336 (on 06 March 2009)
third most? how so? to me this is the most wanted game!
ItzMeeSnitchez (on 04 March 2009)
congratulations conduit. third most wanted game. my personal number one.
naruto3336 (on 01 March 2009)
actually way more around 5 times as more hits... The Conduit > KillZone 2
MasterZack (on 27 February 2009)
triple hits as Killzone2
naruto3336 (on 25 February 2009)
I would buy MadWorld over this if it was not for the online multiplayer. This game and MadWorld are my 2 best games of the year. Last year they were Brawl and Kart.
Mojo (on 24 February 2009)
I hope this game sells through the roof. It look awesome and we need more of these games on the Wii. I will buy this regardless as soon as it comes out, but for me, the essential ingredient is a great online mutliplayer.
Shadowfest3 (on 23 February 2009)
I am really looking forward to getting this game. I got hooked on FPS with Halo 3 and this looks like another great one.
naruto3336 (on 17 February 2009)
Green Penguin:

I used to hate first-person shooters when I played them on ps2. Then I played them on Wii and it was a completely different and pleasing experience. If you gave Metroid Prime 3 a shot then why not this? This has 16 players online with wii speak, amazing graphics, a unique storyline. This might be the game that might make you like first-person shooters.
cacafina (on 15 February 2009)
i think it will make 2 million i hope it is more but it's a new saga so i think it won't make more than 3 million but i think a sequel would sell a lot more

Green Penguin (on 14 February 2009)
naruto3336:

You are right It probably won't be coming to japan.
I am still thinking if I shoud get this game because I am not familier at all with 1st person games. Also I do own Metroid prime 3 and I didn't like it due to the 1st person view and have yet to find a game that I like that is in 1st person. This game looks cool but at the same time I don't want to waste my money on another Metroid prime 3.
naruto3336 (on 12 February 2009)
Whats holding you from getting it?

And I do not think it wil release in Japan unless SEGA really trust japan. Most hardcore games do not sell that well in japan.

What is holding you from getting this game? What does this game not have that you want?
BoneArk (on 11 February 2009)
The boxart for this game would look better if they added the All-seeing eye.
TheConduit (on 10 February 2009)
Xbox 360 and PS3 games are sprinters.
Wii games are long distance runers.
Wii will win.
TheConduit (on 10 February 2009)
If COD WAW can sell 870 000 on the Wii then the conduit has a 95% chance of selling 1mil.
Based on fotage of the game, details of the content offered
and oppinions of game sites I really cant see this game turning out to be a dud.
naruto3336 (on 09 February 2009)
@ TheConduit

I know that you did not know this at the time but Call of Duty: World at War now sold 870 000 copies. This only supports your statement. PLUS, I know everyone who did not get Call of Duty: World at War is getting The Conduit. This looks really bright for this game!
madmaniac (on 08 February 2009)
It should sell well. Even red steel sold more then 1 mill copies up to now. And everyone was complaining about the controls. If this game is as great as it looks right now, it should sell out red steel with ease
naruto3336 (on 08 February 2009)
@primogen

tru tru. but i agree with TheConduit. The Conduit will outsell KillZone 2 because of a larger userbase. I can not wait to see reviews for The Conduit. I see a 9.5. IGN will not give it a 10 in graphics because they are repeatedly saying the framerate drops since like september and HighVoltage did nothing to improve it. 9.5 is good but i want to see The Conduit be the first Wii game to get over 9.5. I hope near 9.6-10. 10 if the framerate is constant or if they make it 45 frames and even if it drops, it will drop to a 30.
TheConduit (on 08 February 2009)
IF COD WAW can sell 650k on the Wii then an original high quality game such as this can easily break 1mil.
Conduit>Killzone 2
primogen18 (on 07 February 2009)
Not likely, why would a PS3/360 owner purchase a Wii for a single FPS title when said systems are already loaded with them. Aside from controls, which they would havr to actually play it first. This is for "hardcore gamers" who already and only have a Wii, or gamers with Wii and another system who want to balance out their collection.
naruto3336 (on 04 February 2009)
I would laugh if one person looks at a commercial for this game once its on and forgets to look at which system. He/She goes to a store and asks for the game on PS3 and the store manager is like sorry but this game is exclusive to the wii and He/She might end up buying a wii just to play this game!
cody6695 (on 01 February 2009)
yeah IGN usually has better, more understandable ratings. but all game rating sites now are not all there :(
naruto3336 (on 01 February 2009)
To me this looks like a 3 million seller atleast. That is a lot from what the recession is doing now. If this game goes to every store in NA with 50-100 copies on first day, this will sell close to a million sales in the first week. That is not including Others.
naruto3336 (on 27 January 2009)
not many people go to gamefaqs as opposed to gamespot or ign. So i think that the score on either of these would help. I think IGN overrates games and gamespot underrates so you average them up. IGN i think is more fair so i go to IGN more.
OmegaRugalv3 (on 27 January 2009)
This will be a very telling game about the Wii's ability to sell hardcore games especially if the game gets a 9.0 or higher average in gamefaqs.

It definately has the hype surrounding it. Let's hope not to be dissapointed.
Hyperion (on 21 January 2009)
Woah, ten people already own it. and I'm one of them! I went to the future and came back with a copy, as I'm sure 9 other people did.
primogen18 (on 10 January 2009)
You might talk to people who go to IGN or read Game Informer alot, but alot of gamers I know play games more then look on the computer or read magazines, so most have no clue about upcoming games like Conduit/ House of the Dead/ etc, and won't unless something is put into the advertising to reach the GENERAL public. Nintendo talks about expanding the audience, well, it's expanded to people who might enjoy "hardcore" games such as these, but aren't going to make effort to seek out such games unless it is right there on a medium they already know. They aren't going to know what IGN is, or read game geek mags. I'm just saying that some more effort in advertising would work. I agree it's not even finished yet so I will give it time, but again, some of these commercials that are on IGN would work on actual television. Samba has DLC, RB2 has DLC, GH: WT has DLC, some people STILL don't know Wii can do DLC, because the commercials about them (such as the one for Samba up now at IGN) never reach the TV. BTW, I am thinking T rating based on what I've seen, unless there are some insane cut scenes we haven't gotten a glimpse of.
naruto3336 (on 09 January 2009)
the game is not even done yet so why would sega even advertise it from now? it will start advertising when it is close to release. according to me, the advertising has been done so much already that everyone i knw with a wii is already getting this game! sales will start off from 500k-600k and in the long run definitely more than 2 million!so wht you a ll think? T-rated or M-rated? im thinking more of T but you nvr knw...
primogen18 (on 09 January 2009)
Halo got a Mountain Dew flavor. Can I see ONE commercial on TV for this game? Please? I don't even care if I see it more then once, but just to show that some of these "commercials" and "trailers" for this game reach people who don't sit at a computer. It would show SEGA actually wants to advertise this game to the general public. Maybe actually have Best Buy put it in their paper? It seems retailers only push shovelware for wii. The argument "crap sells well on wii" can go both ways. If people don't know whats out there for it, they won't buy it. Ex: Most ads showed Call Of Duty: WaW ONLY for PS3/XB360, as in they show a pic of either one and list "also avail on" for the other. Wii wasn't even mentioned in there. This game has ALOT of potential, I really hope it is executed well.
Kwaidd (on 08 January 2009)
I know I'm anxiously awaiting the game. Everything is pointing to a great title. There have been enough people around and with hands on with this game that if there were reasons to doubt its hype...it shoulda come into the light by now.
SnowFlow (on 05 January 2009)
If High Voltage delivers on it's promises for visuals and online it will sell very well.
link_triforce (on 01 January 2009)
i hope it sells like 2.5 million. This game will make third party publishers look at the wii seriously if it succeeds. Also i want more people to play so i have more butts to kick online
TheConduit (on 30 December 2008)
From what Ive seen this is a good game.
With proper marketing this will be a good start to Wii competing for the hardcore audience
Wii games have a much lower percentage of overall sales in the first week and day then Xbox 360 and PS3.
So look at sales a year after release.
BoneArk (on 26 December 2008)
If this game gets hyped up 1-2 month before it comes out it should sell 1.5 million copies easily.
thas (on 25 December 2008)
We all know it wont sell a lot weekly but maybe in the long run.
cacafina (on 21 December 2008)
it will have a decent start but huge legs i think 2 or 3 million worldwide
Senrii (on 20 December 2008)
I hope it'll sell a lot.. Like 2 mil or something..
Please :)
haxxiy (on 04 December 2008)
Prob 400-600 k worldwide.
ECC (on 02 December 2008)
this game will sell over 2mill.
Strategyking92 (on 26 November 2008)
scratch that, less than 70,000 k worldwide
bigjon (on 26 November 2008)
I feel a flop in the making here.... I hope I am wrong, but I will be shocked if this game's sales even equal MP3's.
Strategyking92 (on 22 November 2008)
I know these types of posts can be dangerous, but I predict around or less than 90,000 worldwide first week.
ECC (on 10 November 2008)

this is the boxart SEGA themselves put up.. so a bit more official ;)

StarcraftManiac (on 02 November 2008)

plzz let this get decent sales, maybe just maybe developers will see how a good wii game can sell
thetonestarr (on 29 October 2008)
Who removed the summary I wrote? Also, the publisher's been announced - SEGA.
jbee02 (on 27 October 2008)
I want this game so much
SHMUPGurus (on 11 October 2008)
The trick here is to notice the ESRB rating thingy. It's not there, so no, it's not an official box art.
thas (on 10 October 2008)
Actually I believe that the boxart at the top there is a fan made one, but it is on sites like gametrailers so I'm not too sure.
11ht11 (on 09 October 2008)
probably not, many games have early boxarts before they are released
MasterZack (on 07 October 2008)
so... this isn't the real box art?

no! this game is great, i dont want to loose it lol

I hope this won't be the final boxart. It looks kinda stupid

I am talking about wii games here. When has ubisoft ever had a good advertising campaign for a wii gamer.

Not to mention, ubisoft rushed No more heroes. They care about money more than quality.
Riachu (on 27 September 2008)
@thas
yeah because Assassin's Creed had little marketing and got poor sales as a result. /sarcasm
thas (on 21 September 2008)
No ubisoft. Ubisoft is terrible with ads and shipping. Sega is ok, but I cant say the same about THQ.
Onimusha12 (on 20 September 2008)
THQ or Sega I'm hoping.

Ubisoft would most likely undership the first wave and cripple sales like they did with No More Heroes. I'm pretty sure Okey-Dokey knows this and that's why he's hoping they get it.
--OkeyDokey-- (on 20 September 2008)
I hope Ubisoft publishes it.

lol what?
Zucas (on 14 September 2008)
My guess is still THQ.
thas (on 14 September 2008)
EA will not being publishing this game. I have said that any times to different people. HVS already stated that the game will most likely use friendcodes. They also said that their publisher is some what large and like to support the wii. This has the nintendo smell all over it, but I would like capcom aswell.
Slavedemonxi (on 13 September 2008)
People are saying Nintendo is gonna publish this game. I mean that does sound very likely, or maybe EA will publish it. One thing is for sure. I am buying this game on launch day, it looks so fun.
11ht11 (on 07 September 2008)
haha im the first owner of this game
thas (on 07 September 2008)
Who is this publisher we will be pleased with. I will get very angry if it is ubisoft. I hate buying their products only for the price to go down the next week.
thetonestarr (on 06 September 2008)
Well, when the summary was written before that statement was made...

I'll write in an edit.
thas (on 06 September 2008)
Offline multiplayer is comfirmed, but it isn't splitscreen. Wiispeak is not confirmed, but will most likely be in it. Motionplus is not a good choice for this game anyway.

The summary is actually wrong. HVS has already chosen a publisher, they just haven't told anyone who it is yet.
thetonestarr (on 05 September 2008)
Offline multiplayer just a rumor, not confirmed. Same with Wii motion plus and Wii Speak.
kopstudent89 (on 03 September 2008)

kopstudent89 (on 02 September 2008)
Over 10000 hits and its probabely 6 months away from release...
It just tells u how much this game means to Wii fans and owners in general
thas (on 02 September 2008)
How did HVS come up with a release date, isn't that the publisher's job?
Naum (on 31 August 2008)
This might be the first FPS I will buy ever more so after the control customization showed on the video on news section.

@Montana So being a wii fan allows you to make statements that aren't true?

it doesn't seem he is jealous of the game rather than wii fans actually getting attention from 3rd parties.

CanadianGamer1 (on 17 July 2008)

sc94597 (on 13 June 2008)
@Strategyking92 Jealousy I sense? Why don't you go play one of the many fps that are on your 360 and not worry about the games for the small little wii.
sc94597 (on 13 June 2008)
@Pheonix tell me all about these gamecube graphics. You should know with all of that confidence in your statement. Do you think the gamecube could pull off those textures, shaders,or that number of polygons???? Also btw this game is probably in beta stages. The game isn't going to be released until 2009. Plenty of time to pull off something nicer.
