Mr Puggsly (on 15 January 2013)
This sold just over 100K in 2012. It'll inch its way to 2 million.
Metroid33slayer (on 14 January 2012)
The best stealth game ever. May not have the cinematics of mgs4 but destroys it in the gameplay department.
goldeneye0065r (on 03 January 2012)
i got 225 360 games-arcade/indie included and never beat these two
yo_john117 (on 24 September 2011)
I gotta finish this game sometime!
slipknotfan (on 26 June 2011)
Funny beating the guy up in the bathroom!!!
snakefisher (on 28 May 2011)
maverick40 (on 14 May 2011)
hated this game. The auto kill mechanic ruined it for me.
hudsoniscool (on 30 April 2011)
viperlegendkiller you are an idiot i was clearly talking about sales.
viperlegendkiller (on 05 March 2011)
shutup hudson chaos theory was one of the best games last gen and DA was ported
hudsoniscool (on 03 February 2011)
splinter cell hasnt been massive since the first one. since then the games have been trailing off, chaos theroy and DA only did like 1.2 million on xbox and 360
Mr Puggsly (on 27 January 2011)
Going to inch its way to 2 million.
donsterydo2 (on 26 May 2010)
Will reach about 1.4-1.5m till end of the year.
Mr Puggsly (on 20 May 2010)
@ hunter_alien
Apparently you didn't remember xmas of 2008. Just a reminder, some of the games that came out were Gears 2, CoD: WaW, Fallout 3, Fable 3, etc.

Most importantly, its performing much better than Double Agent on the 360. It'll surpass it and its still full price.
hunter_alien (on 20 May 2010)
Sales are dropping faster then expected IMO :| SC was a massive IP, and if this was out, lets say Christmas 08, it could have been much bigger IMO :(
NanakiXI (on 20 May 2010)

Sales don't mean shit. Wether it is a good game or fun is opinion. What is true is IW/Activision abandoned the PC players and for such a high profile game did little to improve it.

It's a great game but all the broken promises just piss me the f*ck off. It's defiantly not the real GOTY material as Uncharted 2 proved what it takes to be top dog.
Smeags (on 19 May 2010)
Well there ya go, 1 million! :-)
Ghazi4 (on 19 May 2010)
@turin turambar
maybe cuz call of duty is good? and is better than a lot of games? if it wasnt good it wont have soo much sales...
Turin Turambar (on 15 May 2010)
This game is amazing! I absolutely love it! Why aren't games like Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell selling more than this, stop buying COD and buy these games!!!
Kasersky (on 15 May 2010)
its selling well. double agent sold only 1 mil this is going to surpass it pretty easily.
coolbeans (on 13 May 2010)
They were gonna be released on the same day, Wagram! It has everything to do with Heavy Rain! :P
Wagram (on 12 May 2010)
What the hell does Heavy Rain have to do with Splinter Cell?
The Xbox Man (on 09 May 2010)
Its a very good game, a bit short but after all the love heavy Rain gets on here its shocking to see this games length being insulted.

Great game, deserves every sale
Cueil (on 09 May 2010)
could this top 3 million? That's the best selling version on a single platform
Seece (on 08 May 2010)
will hit 1 million in Week 5!
Seece (on 06 May 2010)
Agreed, stong 3rd week! I hope this tops 1.5 mill, becoming the most successful SC game since the original nearly 10 years ago!
zgamer5 (on 06 May 2010)
never expected this game to get to 900k in 3 weeks after its opening.
donsterydo2 (on 06 May 2010)
Great legs. Will put into shame previous game in the series in term of sales.
nen-suer (on 06 May 2010)
Strong 3rd week
aygie (on 06 May 2010)
For an established franchise the sales are poor, thats not a reflection on the game. Shame really.
huaxiong90 (on 04 May 2010)
Adjusted upwards.
tinybigman108 (on 02 May 2010)
i beat it on realistic and i think it took a little over 8-9 hrs. can't really tell since it doesnt show totals at the end.
BulletProof (on 01 May 2010)
Should hit 1m in 2-3 weeks.
MorgZ (on 30 April 2010)
Just bought my copy today. Even if the main game is short its all about the Co-op mode for me.
coolbeans (on 30 April 2010)
5 hr game? So we just take IGN's word and ignore all other review sites when it comes to a game's length? Okay then
C_Hollomon (on 30 April 2010)
This game will not reach 2m cause of pirates. Maybe it will with bundles and price cuts.
tingyu (on 29 April 2010)
5 hrs game, market must be over-flow with 2nd hand copies now
blue7x7 (on 28 April 2010)
What did people expect this game to do 5 million? It's doing great for a Splinter Cell Game. It should do 1.5-2 million lifetime maybe more depending on the legs.
Pho_Hybrid (on 28 April 2010)
Still dissappointed with initial sales But I expect nothing short of great legs
zgamer5 (on 28 April 2010)
not bad sales for a 2nd week.
Solid_Snake4RD (on 28 April 2010)
doing pretty good according to Splintet Cell series, but not a big one
BanTiger (on 27 April 2010)
very bad sell : (
fred (on 26 April 2010)
@ mickross123

No one here cares about a game for a different console that is not compatible, and week 1 sales were NOT better this game has not yet had it's Japan release until 28th April whereas the other did which gave it another 26,000, so give it a rest.

Great game, if you haven't got this game it's definitely worth a look even though Alan Wake is nearing release.
mickross123 (on 26 April 2010)
Im not saying anything bad about SC:C I am just saying thats pretty amazing feat for Heavy Rain. I have nothing against SC:C I actually think that the co-op looks pretty good.
-ku- (on 25 April 2010)
Its coming to PS3 after this for sure. I bet this has something to do with 8 GS gave it.
m1987mp (on 23 April 2010)
you guys complain too much. since when was half a million in the first week bad? It doesnt matter which one sells better because either way they're both great games. they both have strong sales, now shut up
Stan85 (on 23 April 2010)
Wait for the legs. Plus,it`s on Pc too,so the 360 sales will not be that stellar, but they will be just fine.
mickross123 (on 23 April 2010)
dont wanna sound like a fanboy but heavy rains week one was better, its not an established franchise and its on a stystem with a lower install base plus third person stealth is a more popular and well known genre. so i dont understand your logic in saying heavy rain has weak sales and this doesnt. :/
Kenoid (on 23 April 2010)
Great sales
dejelek (on 23 April 2010)
1 mil easily, easily to beat heavy rain
rossoner (on 23 April 2010)
and it ll come to ps3 aswell :)
Alby_da_Wolf (on 23 April 2010)
It's on iPhone (!) and PC too!
--OkeyDokey-- (on 22 April 2010)
@ Bulletproof

Most games only get 2-3 days out of their first week. Splinter Cell isn't special. It'll drop just like every other game.
BulletProof (on 22 April 2010)
THIS game is out 2-3 days now! And 1-2 days in EU, SO THAT IS WHY LOW.
I'd say more sells in EU next week and around the same in NA.
coolbeans (on 22 April 2010)
How in the hell is/was the MP weak?
gekkokamen (on 22 April 2010)
oh how the mighty have fallen. Weak MP was a HUGE mistake.
jpain333 (on 22 April 2010)
yes but Heavy Rain includes Japan sales!! lol...once we get the full numbers SP it will win by a little...anyways HR is a new IP, so that was more impressive...
xxrkoxx (on 22 April 2010)
Heavy rain had a better starting week by 200 copies lol, this game i heard will be on ps3 but idc its too short.
Mr Puggsly (on 22 April 2010)
Unsurprisingly this will easily surpass the sales of Double Agent.
Mr Puggsly (on 22 April 2010)
@ MonstaMack
Niche is one of those words that has lost all meaning.
MonstaMack (on 21 April 2010)
Niche series? The original Splinter Cell did 5+ million on the PS2 and XBox alone, who knows how much on GC, GBA and the PC in the long run.

hudsoniscool (on 21 April 2010)
if you play it on realistic it a 8 hour singleplayer. co op campain is like 4 hours and its completly differant then singleplayer
aragod (on 21 April 2010)
Over 0.5 m are great sales for a title from previously niche series. Despite having 5 hours long singleplayer, these numbers are great.
themanwithnoname (on 21 April 2010)
I don't know why people expected more when past entries have barely broke a million.
huaxiong90 (on 21 April 2010)
In line with pre-orders. I expected more though.
blue7x7 (on 21 April 2010)
Not bad for a game that has been getting a lot of Hate lately. Good first week sales now lets just see how good the legs are.
ArcticGabe (on 21 April 2010)
I expected far less than 500k first week considering DA barely broke 1 million LTD.
Another success from Ubi.
ArcticGabe (on 21 April 2010)
Very good first week, guess it will out sell DA very soon.
zgamer5 (on 21 April 2010)
expected more.
palitococo (on 21 April 2010)
Sales arent bad, im expecting some more because the number of preorders, but over half million its a great star for a SC game.
Fab_GS (on 21 April 2010)
Great start.
Munkeh111 (on 21 April 2010)
Great start, I didn't expect this much, though I am not sure why
iWarMachine (on 21 April 2010)
good 1st week! 150k 2nd week at least.
coolbeans (on 21 April 2010)
No need to troll, Marco. Dang it though, it was short of my FW goal >:(. Stupid Others :P
Chairman-Mao (on 21 April 2010)
Great first week
Marco (on 21 April 2010)
i think, it's coming for PlayStation 3! the sales are, it is soo boring?72 % ?
donsterydo2 (on 21 April 2010)
But it will outsell DA on X36 pretty fast.
donsterydo2 (on 21 April 2010)
@BulletProof: No way :p 750k would be good :-)
BulletProof (on 21 April 2010)
Next week gonna be around 800-900k.
Alasted (on 16 April 2010)
This game's amazing, Shepard.

But I still think Grimsdottir should switch back to her old hairstyle, and lose the contact lenses.
MonstaMack (on 15 April 2010)
Really impressed by the new direction though I suppose die hard fans of the original Splinter Cell will be dissapointed.

Whats worst is they took out Spys vs Mercs, but at least theres plenty of co-op action this time around.
donsterydo2 (on 14 April 2010)
670k first week - I said it first :p
Mr Puggsly (on 14 April 2010)
First week will probably be about 600K.
coolbeans (on 11 April 2010)
lol really Football Fan? In that case LBP and some other possible "PS3 exclusives" aren't....

*Runs to buy the PSP version*

See how annoying that is? In reality, it could be considered an exclusive or not depending on different it is from the DS version. Just like LBP or even GRAW on 360 are argued to have enough variety of their own to still be exclusive.
MonstaMack (on 23 March 2010)
I don't see any reason why this SHOULDN'T outsell Double Agent - PS3 and 360 version combined.
PS360fan10 (on 19 January 2010)
Wait this isn't exclusive to Microsoft. They said it was 360/PC only. Now its for DS. ppphsss
coolbeans (on 20 November 2009)
I don't believe handheld games fall under console exclusives, FootballFan. Since it's for DS and it'll probably vary the gameplay in a different way it's exclusive to that handheld.
huaxiong90 (on 22 October 2009)
Shaping up to be the best Splinter Cell game ever.
FootballFan (on 26 July 2009)
There was me thinking this was a console exclusive to the xbox......

**Runs to pre order DS version**
Slimebeast (on 07 June 2009)
It looks very good so far, and could become my first Splinter Cell game I've owned and played for real.
coolbeans (on 01 June 2009)
Sam's back in the game *cheers*. I kind of miss hobo sam though, seemed like an interesting turn for the series but it just wasn't meant to be.
Seece (on 28 May 2009)
Welcome back Sam
nathantay (on 18 April 2009)
Sam Fisher looks just like Ethan Thomas from Condemned 2.
