For a while now I've been behind on my Why you should buy a DS. VERY BEHIND. So I was thining about updating my thread, when I realized that the format I chose was pretty bad. I also want to make it more VGChartz based, because of new features this past year. That means most of the pictures, links, release dates, come from vgchartz. There are exceptions though for games that don't have any images on the vgchartz profile. All Japanese titles are from either Wikipedia or Vgchartz, and I don't have time to make sure they are right. So please if you notice they are wrong please correct me. Also please don't post until I have at least 4 reserved posts. It is much easier for me to update, and safer if anything gets deleted that way. Thank you, and I hope to be more active with this thread. Also I have to finish it by sunday because I'm leaving for a week. When I come back I will update anything I missed.
Role Playing Games
The Nintendo DS has been noted by many, including myself, as being the best platform this generation for Role Playing Games. It has also been noted as being one of if not the best consoles EVER for role playing games, which also includes myself. Not only does it have a lot of high quality new RPGs such as The World Ends With You, it also has existing ips(such as Pokemon*x* and Dragon Quest IX), and remakes(such as Final Fantasy IV and Dragon Quest IV-VI). RPGs also are varied in type. You could find ARPGs, Traditional Turn Based, Non-Traditional Turnbased, Strategy RPGs, and so on. The DS even has a few classic Western RPGs. If you could only get one platform this generation, and you are a HUGE Rpg fan, I would recommend the DS as the choice for you.
