Gaikai: One of the Big Three Not to Release a Next Gen Console

Gaikai, the cloud gaming service, made a bold prediction about the next generation of console gaming. That one of the big three, Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony, will not be releasing a console in the next generation. "Not all of the current console makers will have one more generation. That will be the big news at E3," said Nanea Reeves, chief product officer for Gaikai.

With the Wii U already announced and expected to launch this year, it will be either Microsoft or Sony. Steve Ballmer announced at CES that the Xbox 360 was the best selling console in 2011 and the division has been turning a decent profit. Sony has announced that they will not be making any announcements about a PlayStation 4 at this years E3, as well as losses as recently as the third quarter of 2011. It seems likely it will be Sony, however it is just speculation, so take it as a grain of salt. In the end both Microsoft and Sony may release a next generation console.

I think the person who wrote this text had made a little mistake... "Maybe a mistake".. I don't want to say something wrong.... But this is my opinion: Nintendo has been the big boy since the beginning... maybe they have a cheap looking gaming console and don't even mention the graphic quality, but quality the have brought to us is massive and big! They have been the biggest boy since the beginning... they have been selling dozens of consoles and even though people think it's crap, it's still the most and best selling console on planet Earth... big boys. They know that the Wii's graphics and performance can't is not good as Microsoft's and Sony's PS and Xbox... but they have still been selling, selling, selling and selling. Big money machine... So... In my opinion I mean that Nintendo have always been prepared for a new console. I think they have the succes and potential to defeat their competitors and bring us even more entertainment in the future. So this text says that one of the console series are going to die... yeah maybe... I think it's the Wii. But.. Wii will maybe die, but I don't think that Nintendo will leave the market.. I think they will even grow stronger with something more innuvative than before. They will be prepared and have always been prepared from the beginning. Cloude Gaming with next gen graphics and controller, keyboard and mouse supported with Directx 11 or 12 included and all that stuff.. This is just my opinion. Maybe I'm totally wrong, but I know that Nintendo have had luck with them from the beginning till today. They are good even though the other consoles have better performance. Maybe we will see something else instead of a console with the name Wii. The Wii has bad performance... so what? Nintendo knows that. Who cares about the performance if the product is making cash? The Nintendo guys are good and will be stronger in the future in my opinion. I really enjoyed writing THIS :D Even though I may be wrong... but maybe I'm right. 3 companies that will join Cloud Gaming sounds confusing because the consoles could have the same performance quality and same game titles. That's a big economic issue and very dangerous. They have to act carefully.
