Nintendo has just announced its holiday season pushes for Japan, as well as several new 3DS games.
The Wii fall-holiday lineup in Japan will consist of:
Dragon Quest Collection - Sept 15, 2011
Just Dance - October 13, 2011
Go Vacation - October 20, 2011
Kirby Wii - October 27, 2011
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword & Taiko Drum Master Wii Ketteiban - November 23, 2011
Itadaki Street Wii - December 1, 2011
Mario & Sonic at the London Olympics - December 8, 2011

- Mario & Sonic at the London Olympics
- Culchobit (a soccer game)
- Shinrei Camera
- Dynasty Warriors VS
- Hatsune Miku Project Mirai!
- Bravely Default: Flying Fairy (an RPG from Square-Enix)
- Culdcept
- Paper Mario
- Luigi's Mansion 2
- Resident Evil Revelations
- Kid Icarus Uprising
By the end of 2011, 3DS will also be getting the following games in addition to Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D:
- SD Gundam G Genration 3D
- Ace Combat 3D
- Tekken 3D
- Theatrhythm Final Fantasy
- Slime Mori Mori Dragon Quest 3
- New Love Plus
- Monster Hunter 3G
- Metal Gear Solid 3D Snake Eater
Monster Hunter 4 was also confirmed to be in development for 3DS but no release date was given.
Looking at all the content, 3DS is set for a very very strong holiday season in Japan even against the Vita launch, and Wii should see a similar performance to last year. DS in contrast will be unquestionably be way down as Nintendo's focus moves to more recently released platforms.

well it wont have any problems selling in japan anymore
Pure Gold... Now if only NoA would get these gems out here quickly.. Stares at my icon
By gems you must mean Xenoblade and The Last Story. =D
Oh boy this will not end well for Vita...
Sure call defeat before the war even started. I believe we did that once and Nintendo lost how much money?
They also announced mario tennis for 3DS, I think you guys forgot to put it up there!
Just hope US line-up for 3DS in this holiday is going to be at least this good.... Btw, a good sign for 3DS in Japan.
Finally a Fire Emblem 3DS! Well it wasn't a long wait, but now I have a big reason to want to get one. As soon as I hear about localization (Damn NOA) I'll look into it. Hope the Tales of.. games get localized too.
Did I see Monster Hunter 4 coming to 3DS? That would hurt the Vita pretty hard in Japan.
Great Lineup! With the announcement of the Vocaloid game (Project Mirai) and Monster Hunter this will sell like hotcakes in Japan. I kind of wish they would have just skipped MH3G and went straight to MH4...3DS already gets enough criticism for that.
I see 2 Kid Icarus' up there
1 word. Nintendo!
I don't think this is a threat to Vita. As was pointed out on Kotaku Monster Hunter 4 could be multiplatform for both 3DS and PSVita. Also not many new games were announced that we weren't already aware of. Don't forget Sony will have a ton of things to show at TGS that will probably level the playing field pretty fast!
Its definitely possible, but within the world of handhelds...multiplatform releases aren't very common.
Just WOW! O_O'
I wonder what "friend collection" is...
With this lineup, the 3DS might just reach that sweet 2.00 tie-in ratio. I hope.

Monster Hunter 3G AND Fire Emblem? fanboy shriek
And here I was thinking we wouldn't see either of these on the 3DS for awhile. Although, I wonder how the Circle Pads will affect MH, since they're not true analog pads. Great. I'll be picking a 3DS up just as soon as these titles are announced for NA... Heck, I've been a loyal Nintendo fan all along, but I may just need a Vita for Monster Hunter (if they happen to get an installment).
Needless to say, this gives the 3DS the ability to compete very seriously with the Vita (I was worried for a bit).
Not getting a 3DS until the new Paper Mario comes out... nothing else interests me.
cabooooom: Monster Hunter 4 for 3ds.
What incredible lineup! mmm I think that psvita will go into the bathroom
I don't get the big fuss, 3DS 2012 looks strong, the rest looks weak.
