We already analyzed the Wii's MIllion Sellers, and the PS3 Million Sellers, now is the turn for the first console launched in current generation, Microsoft's machine: the Xbox 360. Checking Vgchartz data we found out that the Xbox 360 has a total of 109 titles that sold over a million units worldwide. Check out the chart below, broken down by publisher:

The Xbox 360 was released on November 22, 2005, one year before PS3 and Wii
Like with the PS3, the best Selling Game in the Xbox360 is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with 11.91 million units sold.
EA is in the first place of the publisher's chart for the Xbox 360 with 30 games that represent a 27.62% of the total. Percentage wise this number is very similar to the 29.67% that Nintendo has on the Wii's MIllion seller Chart and the 25.68% that Sony had with the PS3.
Microsoft is in the second position with 17 games that represent a 15.60% of the total. The best selling game for the company is Halo 3, in second position with 11.27 million units sold.
Microsoft has 5 games in the top 10, three more than Sony and 8 in the top 30 same as Sony in its chart.
EA has the largest amount of games in the list, but the first game for the company to appear in the chart is Left 4 Dead 2 in the 22th spot with 3.03 million units sold.
From the top 10, five games are from Microsoft, four from Activision and one from Rockstar.
The Four games from Activision on the Top 10 are all from the Call of Duty Franchise.
Of the Five games from Microsoft in the top 10 three are Halos and two are Gears Of War games.
Xbox 360 has the highest amount of companies with games that sold over a Million units with 21 (four more than PS3 and two more than Wii); from those 21, seven have only one game in the chart.

Where does your anger come from? What do you have vested in these companies? Did Sony sell you a bum system and deny you repairs or something?

I have all three and they are all good in their own way. Specifically, besides a few titles and the ps3 being a blueray player, ps3 and 360 are just about identical.

Maybe think about being more positive about the stuff you like rather than being negative about the stuff you don't. I have been where you are and in the end realized how stupid it is for someone to spread hate about something that has nothing to do with me at all.

The xbox 360 is a great system with lots to offer and so is the ps3.

We all read alot on this site and know your opinion well. So can you give it a rest and clear the board for others now?

I tell you what I understand by questionable (or half-baked) logic:
360 has a 1 year headstart that is correct, but that doesn't explain why the tie ratio for software is higher on 360.
PS3 owners buy 7.13 games on average (launch-Dec 2010)
360 owners buy 8.49 games on average (launch-Dec 2009)

so yes the headstart has something to do with the higher amount of million sellers, but also the fact that the average 360 owner has 1.36 games more than PS3 owners over the same timespan, despite 360 always had a higher piracy problem.

bad research:

Bungie has NOTHING to do with Halo Wars. They didn't make it and they don't own the Halo IP.
360 > Wii this year in the US

1. He didn't buy it only for the "Halo" name
2. Halo Wars is the best selling console real time startegy game of all time. 2 million is HUGE for an RTS even by PC standards.

You can't say EA is the publisher of Valve games, when you list MTV Games as the publisher of Rock Band games.

For the guy talking about Halo Wars. I bought Halo Wars because it was more than named "Halo," it had the characters, vehicles, sounds, music, and look of the Halo universe. Despite what you may think, the Halo universe is extremely vast and more than simply a name. RTS games rarely sell on console at all, this particular RTS game had very fluid controls that I personally would love to see adapted into future RTS games (similar to how most FPS games have the same controls). If 2 million is a "flop" for a game then the Batman, Need For Speed, Guitar Hero, and Elder Scrolls franchises need to be relooked at (all ~2mil on ps3).

EA do not publish valve games on the 360, valve publish them themselves. EA only publish valve games on the PS3. L4D, L4D2 & The Orange Box should all be credited to valve. Portal 2 to join that list also

halo wars RTS only sold that much simply for being a "halo" branded game, if it was not called halo wars and diddnt feature anything from halo it wouldnt have sold anywhere near as much, hell why isnt C&C in that list (rename it halo and it too could have sold 2 million).

bungie wont make the same mistake again, there will not be another halo wars as the first even with 2 million sales is a flop especially as nearly all halo games have sold 5 million plus with the exception being halo wars with just over 2 million.
