Persona 5 Tops 1.8 Million Units Shipped Worldwide - News

Sega’s Toshihiro Nagoshi announced during the latest Sega Nama broadcast that worldwide shipments for Persona 5 have topped 1.8 million.
Persona 5 is currently available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.

This is big news for Persona, SMT, and Atlus as a whole.
I'm glad that Sega is letting Atlus do their thing and not micromanage the studio. That was my biggest fear when Sega bought them.

How doesn't this game rate compared to Persona 3 and 4? Story? Characters? And gameplay? Just tryna figure out my next game.
As a general rule, P5 is better than all Persona.Gameplay wise, its the most engaging, the story is excellent, the music is superb, and pretty much everything else.Having said that, I personally like P4 more and its for me the best entry in the series.The story is simply a bit better than what P5 offers and especially what P3 offers, and the music is better, also just a bit above P5.For P3, its a great game, but its the weakest of the three.But if I had to give a recommendation, I would reccomend you to play them all, starting by P3, and going up, so that your experience with the games goes from the weakest to the strongest.
Gameplay's quite a bit better than P3/P4. It is more fluid and fusion mechanics got a nice upgrade, I.E skill inheritance is much less random now.
Story is well-developed, even if you could find some holes in it quite easily. Still, it is entertaining and evokes feeling!
Characters are mostly great, while not necessarily better than P3/4, they certainly don't fall short. Some of the new social links are as well very cool.

Theres a level of strategy and planning to them thats enjoyable and they usually have great stories.
