Just Cause 3 Sells an Estimated 864K First Week at Retail - Sales

The open world action adventure game - Just Cause 3 - sold 863,902 units first week worldwide at retail, according to our estimates, which can be viewed on the VGChartz Global Weekly Chart for the week ending December 5th.

Breaking down the sales by platform, the game sold best on the PlayStation 4 with 578,758 units sold (67%), compared to 252,838 units sold on the Xbox One (29%). The game also sold 32,306 units on Windows PC at retail (4%).

 

Breaking down the sales by region, the game sold best in Europe with 396,073 units sold (46%), compared to 297,124 units sold in the US (34%). Looking more closely at Europe, the game sold 96,949 units in the UK, 95,050 units in Germany, and 52,773 units in France.

Just Cause 3 launched worldwide on December 1st.

Game is fun, but has crashed 3 times on me so far... so not the most stable of games.

Pretty good. That game probably has a bit of staying power. It's the kind of game your average joe-blow sees on the shelf and says "Why not. This'll be a romp."
