Halo Director: 'There is Plenty of Chance that Halo 5 Could Appear on the PC' - News

Halo 5: Guardians might be an Xbox One exclusive, at least for the time being, but Halo franchise director Frank O’Connor hasn't ruled out the possibility of a PC release in the future.
"You know, Microsoft has made a huge commitment trying sort of… I think normalize the Windows experience across multiple platforms," O'Connor said in an interview to GamesRadar. "You see the elements of Windows 10 are going to appear in Xbox and Cortana and stuff like that."
"There is plenty of chance that Halo 5 could appear on the PC. Nothing to announce at this point… you know, we developed the game on an Intel platform. It wouldn’t be the hardest thing in the world to move it to PC and take advantage of PC stuff. But nothing I announce today on this chat."
Keep in mind that this is far from confirmation of a PC release - the last Halo game to make its way to the PC was, after all, Halo 2, and even then it took three years to reach the platform.

Wouldn't be the first time... both of the original 2 Halos on Xbox also received PC ports.
The original 2 were on Xbox. As a new IP and in its sequel, it was more concerned with expanding its fanbase rather than selling XBs. In turn Xbox, was more concerned with making a name for itself rather than selling a whole bunch of units. Remember, trying to come in and outsell the PS2 was gonna happen.
If he said "no fucking chance," that would upset PC gamers. So no real answer is best. Im still waiting for Halo 3 on PC... and its been a long wait.
That would make me happy and I'd be fine with waiting a year or more if it's a delayed release. I wouldn't say Halo is the only Xbox asset I'd like to play on PC but it is the main asset I'd like to play.
Why on earth would you publicly say this when the game hasn't even come out for X1 yet? No wonder potential xbox buyers have no confidence in MS "exclusives".
Why will you say something like THAT before the XB1 bundle releases?
Seriously, Phil Spencer should be the only one allowed to do PR in the whole XBox division.
It coming to pc won't affect anything on x1. It didn't affect the 360 versions or sales of the 360 when gears came to pc. When halo went to pc, it didnt affect the xbox. It's still console centric. I find it funny, when pc fans talk about pc, console fans bash them, trashing on the pc market... but when an xbox game is for pc too, they come in and proclaim disaster for xbox.. most fans of other consoles are just looking for ANYTHING to downplay everything xbox... just stop already. It's old and tired.
It's pretty much going to be that for the entirety of this gen, shitting on both platforms even though both are actually trying to co-exist, meanwhile Sony threw their hands up on their handheld, their mobile and entirely dropped their PC division killing all or any support for PC gamers, MS is at least trying to get back with PC gamers and trying to juggle a few more markets but apparently it;s all doom and gloom because they didn't win this gen.
Last gen it was the complete opposite and those fans on the losing side bided all that for years and it's clear now more than ever that they've bottled all of that hate up to spend it across this gen on everyone else, I just hope if there is another gen that Xbox stays more humble because already as things are they will likely come out as the better company/person unlike the winner of this gen.
To add Justagamer's comment Gears Ultimate Edition was announced for the PC as well and it still sold well on the Xbox One.

With MS's platform integration initiatives, this makes perfect sense.
Of course It would make sense. To make it locked to Windows 10. Like they did with Halo 2.
If it was coming to pc they shouldn't release statements about it early. Halo is a good franchise it will drive sales for the console and a release on PC will reduce potential buyers interest. On Twitter MS stated it was exclusive for XBOX O so I dont see a release on PC anytime soon, don't get me wrong I love console and pc but it doesn't make sence to release a statement about this early.
But it;s already been shown that the PC doesn't cannibalize Xbox or PS4 sales of their games at all, PC folk are going to buy PC versions and console folk will buy their own copies for their platform, those moving to PC gaming will of course get PC versions, the two markets are just different.
I think it will come to PC depending on sales, so for instance if it sells less than Halo 4 they will do a PC port to bolster sales numbers.

I guess I won't have to buy an XB1 to play Halo, then. There's goes the number one reason to get an XB1. Seems like getting a PC, a PS4, and a 3DS is the way to go right now.
If it ever came to PC, won't be for at least two years after release and a year later Halo 6 will be out.
Does not matter, as I will play Halo 5 for probably a max of 6 months on and off until it releases then rarely touch it again.

@kingdomheartsfan: it's hardly telling as much as everyone else in the comments is right now, I count about 4 Sony fans, 1-2 neutral and one Xbox fan and then there's me for PC. This site is pretty biased as all hell against Xbox so yeah I can see why he wouldn't hide when no one else is clearly trying to hide it either.
No one else is insulting other fanbases with childish remarks like "Sony tard."
