Nice line up. That Mega Yarn Yoshi tho! The game isn't even out in the U.S. yet, but damn I want that amiibo. Along with the other 3 that will drop. I thought Animal Crossing amiibos was suppose to drop around that time as well. Nov-Dec.

Looking really good... Wii U should see some good results for september world wide and keep that momentum until next year.

The free Fatal Frame demo is brilliant. The digital only release of the game is dumb as rocks.

I agree with you but I understand why Nintendo is pushing a digital-only release. Fatal Frame has historically never sold well in the west, even the PlayStation games. I'm actually surprised the series made it up to five games. Maybe if they would have offered the free demo online and had a physical copy that also contained Fatal Frame IV. That might have helped a bit.

Oh I know why they're doing this. But the fact is without 3rd party support they need to stack the shelves of every store they can with quality titles. Fatal Frame is a substantial game with good production values. They need it on the shelf, especially during the holidays when people actually go to stores and pay attention to what just landed on the shelves.

This is just for NA though, on Europe Fatal Frame V comes with a physical version too and Mario Tennis is confirmed for November 20th, the same day as Star Fox Zero.

This isn't a bad lineup. In fact, they seem to be pushing Wii U more than the 3DS this time, which is a good thing. I just hope they have another Direct before the end of the year. Maybe it could be hosted by Bill Trinen can host the Directs since he often participated in them? I don't know. Even though a lot of people complained about Satoru Iwata's English, most people have to admit that there was something very charming about that guy and he really made those videos personal. It's going to be hard to find someone to permanently replace him.

SuperNova (on 24 August 2015)

I wish they would have put this into a Direct. I hope it's just because they haven't announced a proper successor for Iwata yet, and doesn't mean they're dropping directs entirely.
Anyways, the line up is looking good. I'm a bit puzzled they havent put a release date on Amiibo party yet though, I thought it was supposed to be their big holyday title.

Nintendo is probably looking for a combination of Star Fox, the Mario Maker bundle, and Xenoblade Chronicles X to carry the holidays. Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis are probably doing the job Captain Toad did last year: a support title at the tail end of the holidays.

You have to pay additional money for chapter two of FF?

ninjapirate42 Random_Matt (on 24 August 2015)

I could be reading it wrong, but it looks like that's the only parts you pay for? The beginning and chapter one, plus half of chapter two are free.

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water - 22nd October (Digital only. Prologue, Chapter 1, and half of Chapter 2 are free)

Shovel Knight? Do they mean a physical release for the game? As it already got released on both consoles over a year ago digitally.

Yeah, they mean a physical release. Hopefully that also means the DLC comes that day.
