I don't see the One selling 85m units so when do you guys think it'll start to tail? I believe 360 really skyrocketed in a manner that will be difficult to duplicate around 2009 or so

It'll tail aligned to the Kinect launch, and this gen will be shorter.

This generation is going to probably only 5 years, so even If it sells quicker than the 360, I can't see the One selling more than 60 mil.

as long as ms don't get their feet on european ground xbone should fall behind in the next 18 months.
and this gen will be shorter for sure. i'm going with 6 years, so new consoles in 2019, while 360 had full eight years.

sidenote, ps3 did not struggle compared to 360, it struggled compared to ps2.

Yeah, i think the XBO will be above the 360 by another year and half.

These recent graphs have taught me two things. First is PS3 stomped XB360 in aligned launch sales. And second, the PS3 is currently beating XB1 in aligned launch sales.

How do people say the PS3 struggled? ? Ithe was ahead of the 360 in the same amount of time.

No sane unbiased gamer really believes that. Only a portion of hardcore Xbox camp continues that. Fact is aligned sales shows ps3 outsold 360 just about every month until the end when they took and still have the lead. What i find most surprising is that not only did ps3 outsell 360 which honestly was really close but that it outsold Xb1 by an even bigger margin which is shocking.

This article isn't talking about the PS3 so both of your comments are irrelevant.

because it DID struggle. The 360 also massively struggled in its first 18 months. They were both very slow starters.

wait people are STILL saying this? Are you gonna say that after ps3 is discontinued too? I mean i know vgchartz has ps3 above 360, but shipment data doesn't agree. 360 keeps shipping more than PS3 but vgchartz keeps having ps3 weekly sales like 2x 360.
