Over 1 Million Amiibo Figures Sold in the US in the Last Month - News

More than one million Amiibo figures were sold in the US in the last month, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime has revealed.
"We just launched wave 4, and over roughly the past 30 days we’ve sold over a million Amiibo in just the United States," said Reggie Fils-Aime. "What does that suggest? It suggests we’ve made dramatic improvements in the supply chain, that we’re putting significant amounts of Amiibo into the marketplace.
"We’ve done replenishments on Marth. We’ve done replenishments on the Wii Fit Trainer, some of the more rare Amiibo. So, our strategy is to satisfy as much of that demand as we can and that’s what we’re working hard to do."
Nintendo has been accused in the past of limiting Amiibo shipments in order to retain high demand. However, Reggie shot that down saying he does not want to disappoint the fans and wants all Amiibo collectors to have the chance to be "completionists":
"You don’t sell through a million units by constraining supply. And, honestly, there is no business in disappointing your consumer. The mentality that suggests we are somehow constricting supply is rubbish. We want every consumer to be satisfied. We want every Amiibo player out there to be a completionist and have every single one. We’re working hard to get the supply into stores."

'There is no buisness in dissappointing your consumer' if only they took that sentence to heart when it came to their digital event.
Also Holy cow! These things just sell like crazy.
I do hope that they will make a true Hub game for Amiibo that utilizes their ability to store data and makes actually using them to go to other peoples houses and game with tham as well as swapping them feasible. Now that I've written that, it sort of sounds like a console Pokemon....
And to think Nintendo could've actually made 10x that if they weren't stupid about the supply issues. But I guess not all business is about making money....
