PlayStation Vita vs PSP – VGChartz Gap Charts – November 2014 Update

PlayStation Vita Vs. PSP Global:

Gap change in latest month: 1,020,543 - PSP

Gap change over last 12 months: 9,433,654 - PSP

Total Lead: 19,998,229 – PSP

PlayStation Vita Total Sales: 9,235,237

PSP Total Sales: 29,233,466

In the latest month of sales for the PlayStation Vita it has fallen another 2,030,543 units further behind its predecessor the PSP. In the last year the gap has grown 9.43 million in favor of the PSP. The PSP currently leads by 19.99 million in the first 36 months. The gap is expected to continue to grow in the next month.

Both handhelds launched in December in Japan, the PSP in December 2004 and the Vita in December 2011. The Vita has sold 9.24 million units in its first 35 months on sale, while the PSP sold 29.23 million units.

And it will be 3 years old in February so it's sold just over 3 million in 3 years...... depressing. No wonder Sony hasn't spoken about Vita sales in years. Even NPD have kept quiet about it.

Sony needs to cut the vita price down man.....probably to 150, I have one and I love it...but man this is sad to read

A list of reasons why the Vita isn't successful:

Crapcom doesn't want to update MH graphics, so they moved down in system strength to justify it. The graphics have been roughly the same since the first one.

With Monster Hunter Vita was probabily sold more in Japan... and? In the US? oh yeah, i'm sure that with Monster Hunter Vita was sold a billion all NPD... just please.
