Microsoft: Xbox One 'Sales Were Incredible' on Black Friday, Takes Jab at Sony - News

by William D'Angelo , posted on 30 November 2014 / 14,729 Views

Microsoft has been doing everything it can to win this holiday season in the US with the Xbox One. Microsoft has temporarily dropped the price on all SKUs and bundles by $50 and the cheapest bundle can be found for $349 and some stores have gone even lower selling the Xbox One for $329.

Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg has taken to Twitter to praise the success of the Xbox One on Black Friday. He has stated that sales for the console have been incredible and he is thankful for the supports from the fans.

"Sales were incredible, grateful for all the support and new fans," tweeted Greenberg.

Greenberg also tweeted that the Xbox One is sold out at Target in California and even took a jab at Sony. He took a picture at Target showing how the PlayStation 4 is not sold out, while the Xbox One is.

Microsoft really needs to tell Aaron Greenberg to take a hike. He's just an unprofessional executive who does nothing but stir the pot.

A saw a Wii u shelf empty beside a huge pile of xb1s. This must also mean that the Wii u outsold the xb1 ? :p

Well, Mr. Greenberg, you guys had to have a good week eventually, right? After all, you had to drop your console $170 to do so. The PS4 had how many price cuts again? Congrats on this one time :)

70, The Bundle takes out Kinect, which is a $100 Value. My god people are jelly.

Not surprising. Gotta be honest. Outside of buying a XB1, most of the Black Friday deals weren't really that great for gaming. All I did was snag some eShop cards from Best Buy and do some digital shopping in the WiiU/3DS eShop and snagged a few things off of PSN. There was no point in doing much else as the good deals seem to have happen before this at various different retailers which is what I took advantage of.

Anyways, it's cool to see the XB1 doing well. Hopefully they keep the price the same and don't bring it back up. I'd like to see Nintendo do a price drop on WiiU.

How long are we going to keep calling this a "temporary" price cut for? There's no chance it's actually going to go back up.

That's your proof really lmao? Wow you should really get a with MS and be their official shill.

COKTOE (on 30 November 2014)

Ah, MS may, MAY have, with 3 price cuts, multiple free games, as well as free gift cards and vouchers, pulled off a narrow victory. Maybe. So naturally, it's time for that fat, pumpkin-headed greaseball, Aaron Greenberg, to reconstitute himself from the sludgepile he resides in, like a dirty, fetid T-1000, and start taking shots at the competition who has continually thrashed his employer for the past year, and almost undoubtedly did again, globally, when this brilliant photo was taken. To say nothing for the fact that Sony may have done so, yet again, in North America.

how about MS also making every xbox one game 10-5 $ cheaper which doesnt support 1080p? For my personal preference its always better to invest that little extra money to get the strongest console.

ijustlikegames:) (on 30 November 2014)

So MS has to practixally give X1s away to have a narrow win in 1 month of their strongest territory while still getting crushed in total sales and this is somehow a victory? Lmao

  • -3
NobleTeam360 ijustlikegames:) (on 30 November 2014)

"Narrow" Ummmm do you have the number for NPD already?

  • +2
ijustlikegames:) ijustlikegames:) (on 30 November 2014)

Regardless how much they win by its still not much if a victory. They're getting killed in total sales. They have had to be ridiculous in order to get sales in their home market and its only one month. Plus PS4 sales haven't been hurt at all...that's not a victory worth bragging about and only an idiot like the author of this article would brag about it. PS4 sold over 700k the week before black Friday...X1 needs to just be happy with second

  • -2
NobleTeam360 ijustlikegames:) (on 30 November 2014)

I agree, PS4 is still the best selling console WW. But them winning November is at least something positive for the MS camp.

  • 0
SWORDF1SH ijustlikegames:) (on 30 November 2014)

MS would of weighed up what they were doing before price cuts and bundles giving away free games. Even if they lose money on the bundles, XBLG subs and the extra software sales will more than make up for it.

Riiiiight, that photo is taken with not a single person in the frame. Probably means it was taken before the store opened, since stores are meant to be uber busy on BF.

How lame is it that you made this same comment earlier, had some downvotes, deleted it, and made the same comment again? On a scale from 1-12, 1 being totally lame, and 12 being hella f***ing lame, where would you rate it?
