Bandai Namco has picked up the license for the anime series Sword Art Online. The decision appears to have been a good as the PlayStation Vita title Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment has shipped more than 400,000 units worldwide, according to Siliconera.

The game launched in Japan on April 24 of this year. The game was released in August in the West for a PSN download. The game was translated into English and Chinese.
