Analyst: Xbox One Outsold the PlayStation 4 in September in the US - News

by William D'Angelo , posted on 14 October 2014 / 8,791 Views

Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter has predicted the Xbox One outsold the PlayStation 4 in September in the US. He is estimating Microsoft sold 325,000 Xbox Ones, while Sony sold 250,000 PlayStation 4s.

"We expect Xbox One sales to exceed those of the PS4 for only the second month since launch," said Pachter.

This would be the first time the Xbox One has outsold the PlayStation 4 since launch. In September Destiny launched for both the PS4 and Xbox One. Microsoft also offered a free game to people who purchased an Xbox One. Microsoft also had an exclusive Madden NFL 15 bundle with the Xbox One.

Vgchartz has always favoured Xbone, and thats a shame... Am I the only one that realized that Xbone sale numbers are with a 100.000 plus error on the chart, cant people at vgchartz add numbers? xbone sold 79.000 not 179.000!!!

You really should put "Pachter" in the article title not simply "Analyst". Writing "Analyst appears to give the claim credibility it doesn't deserve, given the analyst is Pachter.

The amount of Sony fan boys on this site is hilarious. Lifetime X1 will outsell PS4 in America, MS are strong in their home territory so this news comes as no surprise to me.
