Microsoft Returns to Tokyo Game Show in 2013 - News

The Xbox One does not have a release window or price in Japan at this point, which is set to be launch in North America and Europe in November.
There was a rumor that the Xbox One might not be released in Asia until sometime in 2014. Releasing in 2014 could hurt the sales of the Xbox One in Japan if the PlayStation 4 releases this year.
This years Tokyo Game Show critical for Microsoft to gain the confidence of the Japanese gamers, which have not warmed up to Microsoft's consoles. The original Xbox barely cracked 500,000 units sold in Japan. While sales for the Xbox 360 did improve selling 1.64 million units to date, it still lags behind the Wii and PlayStation 3, which have sold 12.72 million and 9.34 million units respectively, according to VGChartz.
Other companies that have been reported to be at the show include Sony, Capcom, Electronic Arts, Namco Bandai, Sega, Square Enix, and Tecmo Koei. Also social game developer GREE will be there.
The Tokyo Game Show this year starts on September 19 and ends on September 22.
