Treyarch makes this iteration in the CoD series.. Does it stand on its own compared to the Infinity Ward games?

Call of Duty 3.... Hear the CoD name and you already think good game.
But this is not an infinity ward classic, instead it is a treyarch WW2 game with the francise name. It would hold up without being special or innovative but that's where the Wiimote comes in, and truely makes this version unique.

Can you count all of the trees in this picture?

The aiming is fluent and easier than the other versions and really immerses you into the game. In some situations you might get too immersed and start to just shoot and hit people. I even  blanked out after completing an american level. It's like know I had beaten it, I just never remember beating it all that much, the controls are just that great. The campaign is divided up between the canadian, polish, the British, and american forces.

However the wii takes a backstep when it comes to graphics and minigames.
The driving is fun, but the melee moments and satchel charge minigames are unweidly and stupid.
The worst part of the game are its graphics though, they seem like a minor step back from gamecube games. It makes it hard to play for a long time, because your eyes start to hurt while trying to aim at far away enemies.

Good thing the tank is on your side..
Another flaw is the fact that the game only has the campaign mode... Yep, no multiplayer, online or off. , and no extra minigames or skirmish modes to keep you playing after the campaign, so you are only immersed for a very short while since the campaign is only 5-8 hours long.

If you love Call of Duty and the keyboard and mouse combo- this is a great way to play COD 3, just don't expect too much of it.

Very impressive legs. But Wii doesn't have much competition in regards to quality shooters.

then again this didn't sell great at first, goldeneye and the rest of the COD series blew this away in terms of time to make it to a million.
