Gameplay: 10/10. It wasn’t overly complicated but at the same time it provided lots of innovation and it really stands out in a crowd. people have whined that the addition system is too hard...... that’s horseshit. I played this game when I was 8 years old and I could easily master it. give me a break
graphics: 10/10. it has, the best graphics of any game on the PS1. none of the final fantasy games come close. it's cutscene graphics are astronomical and the environments are locations are absolutely beautiful.
sound: 10/10. The music is memorable and well ahead of it's time. The dubs can sound a tad bit cheesy but give them a break. this was one of the first RPGs to have this feature. be thankfull. anyway, the storyline makes up for it.
Story: 10/10. very intricate, very original and very engrossing. Its starts out slowly on the first disk but builds and builds and builds. all your party members have strong back-stories and inner daemons which they must conquer. there are plenty of twists to keep you entertained.
overall: 10/10. I would highly recommend this game. Don’t believe other reviewers. most of them are FFVII fanboys and they cant stand LOD cutting in on their precious territory. It is unfairly bashed and underrated for no real reason at all. It is not a Final Fantasy copy. It is the Final Fantasy killer.
