To make things clear, this game is for those who practice sports and also play video games. I think it is why some of the "professional video game analysts" failed to understood its value.

Downhill and slalom are awesome. Men's skeleton, biathlon and speed skating got its moments. The rest are complements. To really enjoy this game, you must use the balance board. And also be willing to move up a lot and even sweat a little to master the main disciplines, which were mentioned above.

In the beginning, will be a little difficult to achieve success in the downhill and slalom, but when you do, the rewards will not be just a few points and medals on the screen, but also a physical and mental gratification much like a sport played outdoors. Not only was the use of the thumbs and the timing of the game, but the effort to dominate the whole body and especially the balance that made you get there. The other subjects are easier, but also require some movement and therefore fun.

The sensitivity of the controls was very well suited for the Wii and the graphics presentation is above average for that platform.

There are several game modes, which one can participate in individual events, in pre-organized series or that have been customized with the favorite disciplines. There are pre-made challenges (some of them are really hard) in which you need to beat some easier to be able to open the most difficult and also a career mode, where you can compete in events with opponents increasingly capable.

The multiplayer mode is somewhat a weak point, as you can't use two balance boards to compete with your mate. Beside this, you can use the Wiimotes on a split screen or simply do a turn based competition. I found a bad bug on the game also, in the challenges mode, in wich you simply can't throw the disc on Curling (in other modes, the Curling works as expected).

It's a very good game for those who doesn't want to stand still. Otherwise, play something different, but please don't blame the game.
