A fun and challenging game filled with secrets, fun bosses, and great gameplay, let down only by it's weak story and confusing lore.

Story: Unfortunely it's weakest point, Blasphemous follows it's story structure and narrative similar to it's inspiration, Dark Souls.Full of holes in it's lore and obtuse by nature, most of the time you are splitting your own hair trying to understand just exactly what happened in Custovia.Though the main plot is simple enough to get the basic grasp of what transpired(somewhat), of what it's possible to pierce through it's intended obtuse narrative, it's still weak and lacking.

Gameplay: Extremely solid and rewarding.Though slower in nature, requiring you to take your time to understand when to parry or to dodge an enemy attack, thus rewarding the more pragmatic player, rather than one that relies purely on reflexes.

Graphics/Art-Style:Absolutely gorgeous, and one of the best looking pixel-art games out there, if not the most.Fluid animations, responsive controls, detailed landscapes.Absolutely gorgeous.

All in all, it's a great game that, while having a weak story, is completely worth the asking price and worth a try.

8 out of 10.
