its a better game then the first one but how much is that saying?

story: you and a bunch of people go to an island and race. basically like the first motorstorm. it has 8 to 10 vehicles to use on 4 types of tracks. you can race in a season called progression or go to wreckreation to do time attack or get online.

control: the control is great when its working for you. its really easy to get stuck in a slide where you will total your ride. heres the thing....it spawns you right back and sometimes you dont even lose your position. there are now buttons to shove your rivals but it doesnt seem to do much. the control is loose but i suppose its like it would be in real life. should of had the option to take out the spawns.

graphics: maybe the first motorstorm was way ahead of the curve because this one doesnt look much better. the framerate is silky smooth now and it still looks great, it just didnt blow me away. the different types of terrain are nice as well as the different times of day but i think the tracks in the first one are better. still, it looks damn good.

sound: sounds great and it supports custom soundtracks. the machines get annoying if its turned up too loud.

presentation: the menus are nice and the loading isnt bad at all. the first motorstorm had horrible load times. the track design is good and there are plenty of skins to choose from for each vehicle class

multiplayer: smooth and fun. basically the winner is who gets luckiest but its still a blast. make sure you hit the right short cuts!

overall: its solid. the different routes for each track adds depth as well as different vehicles controlling different on each course. take the wrong vehicle down the wrong part of the track will get you way behind. there is nothing really like it out there so its unique, but it didnt blow me away. burnout paradise is still the best arcade racer but the motorstorm series fits nicely beside it.
