Relationship level increase
Every relationship level requires 34 points in order to fill the bar to reach the next level. Once the bar is full, talk to the person to trigger an event that will raise it. All villagers are capped at level 6 until the end of the main story. Some ways to increase points are as follows: - Greeting them - Giving them a gift daily (+1 for OK gift, +3 for favorites; doubles on birthdays) - Fulfilling requests - Involving them in certain special events Here is a list of good gifts to give each villager. - Lily - Buy Apples from the general store and give them to her. She loves Fruit Parfaits, but those are difficult to make. - Odette - Give her Pickled Cucumbers. It's simple recipe, and you can get lots of cucumbers from employing Goblins. - Iris - Give her Medicine Herbs. You can buy them direct from her for 10G each. She's a cheap date. - Electra - Get a few sheep and give her wool from them. - Sarah - Make necklaces or earrings. If you're rolling in cash you can buy some from the general store. - Elena - Give her scrap iron. You'll get plenty in the beginning dungeons or when starting out mining, after that just buy some from her store (10G each). Also a cheap date. - Mikoto - Give Mikoto any kind of grilled fish. Many of the fish you catch around the beginning can be grilled at a low level. - Merprin - Give her Moon Drops, or any other kind of flowers. Recruit any of the 'flower' monsters (Spring Flower, Autumn Flower, etc.) and they will grow these for you. - Pandora - The best thing to give her are the runes that sometimes appear by mature trees (see Farming below). Otherwise precious stones (like Sapphires, Rubies, etc.). These may be rare at first but as you advance through the game your mining monsters will produces lots of them (assuming their affection is high enough). - James - Make some pudding, which requires milk and eggs. You can harvest these ingredients or buy them from the tavern and general store, respectively. - Joe - Give him Health Drinks. The basic ones work as well as any other. - Bismark - He loves Seafood Pizza, but he also really likes Baked Potatoes, which are easier to make (Potato + Sake). - Grey - Any kind of fruit drink will do (Orange Juice, Apple Juice, Pineapple Juice, even Strawberry Milk). You'll need to buy at least a basic mixer from James. If you employ monsters such as Killer Ant or Shadow Panther they will grow you lots of Pineapples. - Quilt - She likes curry, but the easiest way to curry her favour (heh) is to do her repeatable requests. Three Apples is sufficient to do all three of her requests. - Knit - Likes toys, or do his first two repeatable requests. *Important* You get the recipe for toys from his request 'Do you like mysteries?'. The correct answer to the request is 'Momo'. This is *not* repeatable, and if you fail it you'll have to get Jaslyn to relationship level 4 before you can get this recipe, which will take a long time (this happened to me). - Bonaparte - Any kind of cooking will work. Catch some fish and grill it (as for Mikoto) or turn it into sashimi. - Jaslyn - Once you get access to home decorating, make chairs for her. The Sturdy Chair is easiest, but requires a Cheap Cloth, which is a drop only available in the first few areas. If you're past that, the Armchair just requires 3 pieces of wood. Since you only see her a couple times a week, make sure to do as many of her repeatable requests as possible (The Suspicious Vase and first painting can be used to satisfy two of her requests). - Bacchus - Give him Pickled Cucumbers, same as Odette.
