Getting Shadow to join the party
Before you can even get Shadow to join your party, you must wait for him on the Floating Continent in the World of Balance (basically, when you're escaping at the end of the dungeon). In the World of Ruin, you need to bet the Ichigeki at the Colosseum. You'll fight Shadow and at the end of the fight, whether you win or lose, he'll join your party.

just got this in the post. I loved this back on the SNES so hopefully they did the GBA version justice !!

This version got the whole text relocalized and it's a lot better than the SNES US version.
It's a bit weird when you know every line by heart, but still very sweet.
