If you become good friends with Takakura during spring the first year on summer first of the first year he will give you a brown horse. If you press the R button twice once you have a horse and a different whistle comes out, your horse will come to you no matter where it is.
You can't do it while on your horse.

Aside from HM 64, the series doesn't get better than this.
We need Japan's numbers. This is a million seller.

I wish other Harvest Moon games used the year passing system like in this one. Animal Parade would be phenominal if they put that in.
