These tips will help you survive the Wasteland and make money while you travel.

| Tip 1:(Optional) Travel in the daytime | It is safer and you can see enemies and objects more clearly. |
| Tip 2:Pick up whatever you can find | Even if they aren't worth much, once you have a lot sell them for an average amount of caps |
| Tip 3:Don't waste money on buying a room to sleep in | If you completed Lucy West's quest to Arefu, just quick travel there and sleep in the West residence. |
| Tip 4:Don't battle what you can't beat | Only fight enemies that you. can actually defeat, if the enemy is too strong just run away |
| Tip 5:Be a scavenger | Go into any abandoned houses and take everything. If they have a safe and you have a good lock picking level, go for it, a lot of rare items are in safes. Don't forget to check their mailboxes also, you can sometimes find an occaisional Nuka-Cola in them. |
