If you want to defeat a boss but have a low health status then here's what you should do;
Providing that the boss isn't in a tower where only one person can enter, wait for someone to challenge the boss before you. When they've taken the first place with the sun on it, join them. The boss will usually attack the player whose taken their place on the "sun" although it depends which boss it is. It worked for me on Kraken though!
