I agree. Really a masterpiece, much better than Quake I and II, despite these ones revolutionized graphics (and deserve recognizement for this, but Duke 3D had much better quality in all the rest).

Back in the days, this game revolutionized the genre with its strong "2.5D" engine.
The level design was great (interactivity, realism).
