Play as Shadow Geist
Finish Garuda's combo set. If done correctly, a message will appear.

Play as Kairi
Finish Shadow Geist's combo set. If done correctly, a message will appear.

EX menu
Highlight the "Options" selection at the main menu, then hold Select and press Start.

Play as Hayate
Finish Kairi's combo set. If done correctly, a message will appear.

Play as Garuda
Finish all combo sets up to Vega/M. Bison. Then, advance through Vega's/M. Bison's combo set until a message that states that a hidden character has been enabled appears.

Maniac mode
Finish Vega's/M. Bison's combo set to unlock the Maniac mode option on the practice menu. If done correctly, a message will appear.

Extra bonus game modes
Finish Hayate's combo set. If done correctly, a message will appear. Then an Extra Bonus Game Mode option will be unlocked with arcade mode, excel break and satellite fall.

Unlock all hidden characters
Highlight the "Bonus" selection at the main menu and press [Select]x2. Highlight the "Director" selection at the main menu and press [Select]x4. Highlight the "Practice" selection at the main menu and press [Select]. Highlight the "Arcade" selection at the main menu and press [Select]x5. Garuda, Shadow Geist, Kairi, and Hayate will be unlocked. Note: Proceed to each menu selection directly without going through a selection that is not part of the code. Note: Press [Start] instead of [Select] in the Japanese version of the game.

Bonus games
Highlight the "Bonus" selection at the main menu and press [Select]x5. Highlight the "Option" selection at the main menu and press [Select]x3. Highlight the "Versus" selection at the main menu and press [Select]. Highlight the "Director" selection at the main menu and press [Select]x2. Maniac mode

Highlight the "Bonus" selection at the main menu and press [Select]x13. Highlight the "Director" selection at the main menu and press [Select]x4. Fight as Garuda
Complete the combo sets up grade D on each character up to Vega/M. Bison. Then, advance through Vega's/M. Bison's combo set until a message that states that a hidden character has been enabled appears. You do not need to finish all the whole combo sets to get Garuda.
