Level 2-4: Avoiding damage
At the end of the second level, if you destroy the two guns and the blue eye on the left side, wait for the blue eye on the right side to shoot and then jump up and duck right next to it. If you get close enough, you will not get hit by the eye or the bullets. Then, jump up and punch it to death.

this was the last game I had with the NES before I sold it due to financial problems...
