Get ducks
Go to Takakura and you buy a pond for 2,500 G some time during the Summer in Chapter 2. Then, wake up later than your wife in the morning.

The ducks will go into your pond sometime in the Summer of any year, but you must have room in your Chicken Coop.

In Year 2, buy the pond for 2,500 G. Then, wait until you get married. Make sure you have room in your chicken coop. Use your sickle and make a two square long path going in a plus side pattern from the fence to the pond. Make sure it remains cut. Eventually your wife will wake you up, telling you that there are ducks in the pond

Aside from HM 64, the series doesn't get better than this.
We need Japan's numbers. This is a million seller.

I wish other Harvest Moon games used the year passing system like in this one. Animal Parade would be phenominal if they put that in.
