Early advantage
When starting a new game, choose Wil's quest first. When you get Nacrisse unequip Bushfire and equip it on everybody again. Go to the Ruins of Hahn. In duel battle mode, learn Delta Petra (Stone, Tree) and Needle Shot (Tree, Stone). Find the Kris Knife or Amber Maleate and go back to Westia, but do not enter the pub yet. Unequip all items and spells for your characters, then go into the pub. This mission will end. Go to Finney and do Gustave's quests until Kelvin joins you. When he does, you will be able to arm all the spells that you learned with Wil Knights' party (as well as their items).

Haha, I can proudly say that I finished it once! Though i had to seriously grind to stand a chance against last boss. Last Boss of this game is harder than any FF Weapon i can think of...

I'm pretty sure this is the only near-million-seller RPG where it's just short of assured that you will get a game over in the first random encounter. That's pretty bad.
