Summary

World Cup 98 features all 32 teams competing this year, plus eight additional and 16 "classic" teams, as well as 10 World Cup stadiums. They've allegedly reworked the goalie AI (and hopefully squashed the catch-up bug that plagued FIFA 98) and added a handicapping system to balance out games between mismatched opponents (no more 15-0 "Barundi vs. Brazil" matches). The users can now control four "real time game tactics" and offsides logic has been "enhanced." Score a goal and watch the players celebrate with hugs and pile-ups. The game engine utilizes Compression Touch technology for faster gameplay and speedier reaction to user commands. World Cup 98 will have real players, more accurate stats, star player on each team will have his own set of special moves. Reworked engind and AI to deliver "smarter" goalies and direct play. The game engine now allows "on the fly", in game management with 3 independent settings. Four "real time" game tactics that the user can activate at any point in the game. World Cup Classics mode allows users to replay eight classic final matches and more.
