If Sony would just have stated that this was a great game. Not the redefining of the 1st Person Genre or a Halo Killer. The sales it currently have wouldn't be bad. When you say it's a Halo Killer or their Halo. It better sale over a 1 million copies in one day! Compared to Halo is game is a failure. It's the best PS3 shooter, but would be nothing on the 360. Okay, let's try it this way: 1. The number of accounts online doesn't matter that much. People can make bunches of accounts on the PS3, and Killzone 2 is an online-centric game (it shows by the shorter campaign). 2. Doesn't matter, 2 months is plenty of time to finish the campaign and then play on PSN for free. 3. The multiplier thing isn't a true measurement. this is badly undertracked and here are the reasons: - more than 1050000 warzoneplayers vs 950000 in resistance 2 and R2 is still higher - 2 months since release so some didnt logged in into warzone yet - 200 thousand in UK alone (google it) if we multiplicate that with 5 we have 1 million in "others" i think this is undertracked by 150-250k sorry for my bad english as always Message | Report |

@cheese_man. That depends what you are comparing. Co-op mode in Resistance2 rules but the Competitive mode left me wanting more. Seemed like nothing but the Rifle and its lamo grenade launcher(1hit kill) everyone seemed to only use that weapon. Where as KZ2 only has the Competitive mode I found it alot more balanced & fun. If this maintains 35k a week for two years, or 104 weeks, it can do 3.64 million in that time. Add in holiday boosts, and this could, in theory, be a 5 million seller. The estimated costs are generally thought to be at $40m or over. Given Sony gets $20 (or slightly more) per copy, it needs to sell 2m to break even. That of course does not take into account that fact that it is made in Europe, so it will be affected by currencies, but I can't say I follow them closely enough to say whether or not it is a good thing Message | Report |

My projections had Week 7 at 28,964, so KZ2 is actually over-performing against comparitive PS3 exclusive products. Japan is hard to read, but I have them down for around 70k across the first two weeks, then dropping off until they add between 1k and 2k weekly by weeks 9 and 10. Combined sales across all regions should then run at around 28k for another five weeks before we find out what the regular sales amount will be. Therefore, KZ2 should crack the 1.5m mark during Week 9. With future bundles possible and the kind of continued marketing Motorstorm and others have received in the past, KZ2 can still do 4.5m across the life of the product without too much of an issue. This game is superb. The SP is decent despite being unoriginal, but the MP is the best thing I've played on a console to date. GG also deserve a high commendation for post-release support. @Max Halo isn't heavily bundled. Its never been bundled in US and only had light bundles in Europe. Almost every SONY exclusive is heavily bundled. Killzone 2 has plenty of bundles already in Europe. Even with the bundles the sales are rather dismal. Message | Report |

hey guys, the day npd releases its numbers (which coincide with vgc's numbers) which when combined with chart tracks numbers puts kz2 over 1 million sold Sony coincidentally realeases a statement that they sold one million WW. IMAGINE THAT! oh but wait these must be shipped which would leave about 750k on shelves making those companies overtracking the game a whopping 660k WW at 66% overtracked something thats never happened in the history of the industry except with one of the most hated games. FYI, KZ2 is currently selling through at a rate of between 2.4 and 3.2 times that of Motorstorm depending on region. Of course, MS sold many copies through hardware bundles, but who is to say SCE won't replicate that route to market and do the same again? Brilliant game, the best enemy AI in a game bar none. I'm playing on Hard and i'm 13 hours in stuck on the Palace level. Must have attempted it about 50 times so far!! MP, so far, is a bit of a letdown though, and doesn't come close to the brilliance of COD4 online multiplayer. Message | Report |

@Cheat1011 The average campaign run is definitely not 5 hours. For the average to be 5 hours there would have to be loads of people finishing it first time in 2 or 3 hours or something. If you are going to lie about something think about it first and you wont look so stupid. There is absolutely no way anyone is finishing Killzone 2 in less than 5 hours on their first run through let alone that the AVERAGE game is 5 hours LMAO. I have just got to the last level and I'm already at 7.5 hours and of the 10 or so friends I have who have the game all the ones who have finished it did so in 9+ hours. If your logged into warzone on killzone 2 and you stay logged in and go get your dinner for a half hour.That half hour gets added to your time online in killzone. if you log onto multiplayer on cod4 or waw and did the same thing get your dinner it doesnt add that half hour to the time. Yes multiplayer is great but after 20 hours online i had top rank with all medals and badges.After 40 hours of online play i was bored of the game.I finished campaign mode in 6 and a half hours first time and 8 hours on elite.ive played COD 4 and WAW for hundreds of hours without loosing interest.Same thing with resistance 1 and 2.i lost interest in killzone 2 in a total of 50 hours altogether.So you put that in your pipe and smoke it. Yeah this game has no comp for fps for months so why did sony choose to release it 2 weeks before RE5.Look simple fact is everyone i know with a ps3 either choose RE5 or Killzone 2 and only me and another bought both.Now if sony released the game January 27th or April 27th both games would have seen better sales.Just ask anyone here if they had to choose between games-im sure theres a good few that did Message | Report |

Yes cheat, it took me over 10 hours on my first playthrough on normal as well and I didn't get to collect all the intel. Maybe your comment would be more suitable for the repetive Halo 3 campaign or COD4. At least online is free on the PS3 for everyone with an internet connection, about half of 360 users cannot even play online due to not paying extra for a gold membership. Did you know the much hailed Half-Life 2 can be completed in well less than 2 hours (including cutscenes)? I took much longer though, what a waste of experience would that have been for me. Sony should make a new commercial and make limited edition custom made Killzone 2 PS3's or something. It would have done better if this game came out 2 years ago when the economy was still good. Sony did not say there were 3m pre-orders. *SCEE* did say a million point one, *SCEA* offered no official comment. And anyway, pre-orders are ALWAYS higher than week one sales, it's just one of those things. People multi-preorder, hoping to ensure they get the cheapest deal and a day one delivery (it's what I do) whereas others pull out at the last minute, possibly buying elsewhere or later or perhaps not at all. WOOOO go killzone 2, i think all the guys at sony should be really proud of them selves (and guerilla ofc ) they took a lot of stick, and had to deal with a lot of hype, and the fair share of Xbots. I'm wondering about the legs of this game... if it can manage 100k next week in both the EU and US then it could do pretty well in the long run. The only problem is the PS3 is really lagging in sales in the US right now and this hasn't pushed any consoles at all. I'm loving this game. It really sucks you in after a while and once you get a feel for the controls. Damn is it gorgeous too. i have been rocking the MP mode at the moment, so so good. although working my way up the ranks (pretty quickly i think) and i'm starting to struggle. started off finished top in all the battles, and now struggling to break even on my kill/death ratio now i've made it to medic. game is good at progressing to matches of your standard, i'll improve soon and be top of the table again soon. Now they update on the 28th the numbers, and VGChartz by some retarded standard if it is released anywhere during or before the numbers come in, it automatically means 1 week says. Only yesterday we could of known 1 week sales for america, and whensday for europe. They were well over 500k in both regions but won't know. All sales numbers reported for week one is really only 3 days for the EU/PAL and 2 days for America. So if sales end up being 700 - 800k even less than half a week of sales than that's good. Message | Report |

I don't know how many times I'm gonna have to say this. What Sony meant when they said 1.1M pre-orders in Europe is that they had to ship to retailers 1.1M copies of the game. 1.1M shipped games isn't necessarily 1.1M games sold to costumers. Message | Report |

I'm still kinda choked there is no Offline Multiplayer of any kind (with another human that is). When I first heard there were AI Bots I got super excited and thought back to the Perfect Dark days where me and 3 other people would go toe-to-toe with a bunch of Bots. some of you people need to be a little more realistic. First, the 1.1m is European store pre-orders. So there is no guarantee that it will sell that in 1 week. However, based on previous similar games (Call of Duty) and other exclusives (MGS4), I expect this to do anywhere between 700k and 1.3m first week world wide.
