The Only Thing you Have to Fear is F.E.A.R. Itself

Welcome to F.E.A.R.

FEAR 2 is an FPS Action Horror game where you step into the shoes of the soldier Beckett.  You're part of a recon team that's sent to find and take into custody Armistide.  As usual nothing goes according to plan and the next thing you know you're trying to destroy a little girl named Alma.  She's not your average girl.

GRAPHICS

First off this game is a very good looking game.

Jump on in.

The lighting, the character models, detail, water efects, and pretty much anything else is good looking.  There are certainly better looking games but FEAR 2 tries to just make everything look good.  It's also quite nice that the atmosphere is touched up with the usual blood streaks on the floors and walls and even ceilings.  It gives you that extra feeling of creepiness.

Shame. He had only one day till retirement.

The game also likes to take you in a weird aurora whenever Alma is near or just doing something to your head.  For instance this...

Yum. Kool Aid!

is actually this.

Awwww. My Kool Aid. :(

GAMEPLAY

The gameplay is not that great and not all that bad.  First off you're going to  need to customize your controls because the default setting is just weird.  Shooting feels good and suprisingly the melee feels normal.  That's saying something for an FPS.

You know he dead

Although melee is ridicolously cheap in online play.  There's nothing more frustrating than running around a corner and getting an instant kill kick to the face.  The mechs you control in the game also feel well but sometimes the interface just gets in the way.  The game also has a tendency to not telling you where to go next and in some places like the hospital it's easy to get lost.

I knew I shouldn't of left my kids with that mentos and coca-cola.

VALUE

Overall the game is worth the money.  The game doesn't have high requirements and the online play might give a little bit of playtime once you beat the 8-10 hour single player campaign.

I hope you enjoyed my review.  Stick around and more reviews for other PC games with in game screenshots and input from your's truly. Now go and enjoy...

What a bloody mess.

Great game. Reccomend to those who even have not that good of graphics card. Runs well on high setting with just a 85 dollar one.
