story: you're a soldier in the ISA and you are going to another planet to fight a bunch of guys with orange eyes and kill the leader. its ridiculous nonsense like most shooters these days.

graphics: its probably the best looking game on the PS3 save uncharted and ratchet. the explosions and physics are great as well as the animations. the game is dark and gritty which actually takes from the textures a bit. the lighting is fabulous. the water effects are great also. it will be a while before something tops this. and multiplayer looks just as good as single player for a change.

sound: the banter between soldier gets annoying but everything else is great. the music and weopon effects are top notch and the voice work from brian cox is great.

control: the default setting was a little loose for my taste but it was a quick fix. the motion controls make sense and the lean/cover system works like a breeze although its absent from multiplayer.

multiplayer: in my opinion the best multiplayer shooter on PS3. the spawn points are far from the action which gives you a save way back into battle but you can spawn with a squad or on a spawn point created by a tech if you choose. there are many variations of classes and each has its pros and cons. it does have the annoying upgrade system that COD4 has but its done much better here with the option of playing against people on equal terms. there is onlt one game type but the variation is great ranging from firefights to protecting a teammate. its a very noob friendly game. i took a few weeks off from it and came back as strong as ever.

pros and cons: the graphics are awesome. the story mode is good and worth playing through. the multiplayer is unique as well as the cover system. i wish there was more variety in the guns....they all seem to be machine gun based other then the shotgun and sniper rifle. im just nitpicking now. as a FPS it really doesnt get any better then this. the single player isnt as strong as COD2 or 4 but everything else has surpassed or are on even terms with the best FPS have to offer.
